    So say hypothetically a Producer got the financials in order and the Studio backing, a Parachuting/Military SME, a Former FBI SA, a Director, a Audio tech, this whole thread and the previous one, all on board. And this same Producer had the legal paperwork all ready to go, who is willing to go on record and tell there story to the world?     Yeah, Ironic, I was using the dictionary and the common mans definitions. Politicians, and those trying to make their political side look better than the other side, are using the Political Economists version of the word. In the end it means nothing, we had DEBT, and still do, growing daily. A true Surplus would be the debt at zero and money in the bank saved for a rainy day.     No, it doesn't. You're confusing debt and deficit. A budget surplus indicates operation for the year without a deficit. It does not imply that all debt is payed off. Have we not been talking about debt, and that graph shows debt? It is still a lie, matters not if a particular definition is cherry picked for the spin, we are in debt, period.     Sorry Bill, I tried to stay on topic and use common sense and avoid emotional outbursts. If it makes him feel better, he can be 'right", I will step out and let it go now. The word Arms was used to allow for evolution, but even in the time of the writing of the Bill of Rights they had limits. And yes they said "Militia", those tend to be manned by Citizens with small arms, standing army's have heavier weapons. But I am not telling you any thing new. Why cant common sense prevail?     All I have said is you are going against the Founding Fathers intentions and against your own personal oath of enlistment. I have backed that up with data. Go ahead, since you know me so well, list which rights I do not defend. I have taken the same oath. Do you see me putting limits on rights and being willing to give up rights to appease people who will never stop trying to take your rights? And budget surplus per definitions 1 & 2 is correct as a year only perspective. Who knew, the definition of a word, would not be the definition of a word. How about #4 is that close?     Your link does not support your goal. You took an oath to defend the Constitution.... Not to 'compromise' when it looks easier. You are supporting giving anti-gunners something they want while Pro-gunners lose a right. You should be smart enough to know that they do not stop trying to take away rights....     I'm guessing the turn out varied by location. Bill probably passed a Chick-Fil-A in San Diego. My guess is there probably wasn't as much support there as in your city.     That is the problem I have with using the word "Surplus". We still had debt, so money out IMO, if we had it paid off to Zero, and then after all was paid for we had a Surplus, I would not object to the use of the word there. The use of the word in this context, I feel, is a pure "Spin" action, and confuses folks about the true numbers. Again it is just my opinion, and I will be told to take a math class and learn English again, but that how it looks to me. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety.     Yes. Under Clinton, there were two years of surplus on- and off-budget. There were additional years of on-budget surplus. I don't think the word "Surplus" means what Politicians think it means. Since '41, We've never had a Zero Balance, always had debt, even the Gov web pages show that. Maybe we can stop with this misnomer and admit we need drastic change!
