  1. I try to proof read all my posts. I just figured out there was a spell check button (I'm learning this new fangled gadgetry), but iwould use my Daughters dictionary if it was available. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. As a Soldier who has received some of those it is pretty emotional. The cards always seemed to arrive to Us at a low moment and they helped to pick me and the fellows up quite a few times. To all who have supported the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guard, deployed in and out of the states quietly and openly; THANK YOU! It is very much appreciated. 3. Define "loose". Snug enough to keep the student near you but loose enough to allow them to arch properly sould be acceptable. Loose enough to do a vRW next to them is asking for a problem. They shouldn't be "drifting" back and forth under you. Loose lats do not inhibit a side spin, normally they contribute to it. Ask Bill Morrissy and watch his side spin brief from a PIA address a few years ago. Others here will add there experience too. I tend to listen to a few here that I personally know and trust thier experience, if they disagree with me, I will consider changing my thoughts on the subject. 8. Talk to your Instructors. Use the search feature in gear and riggin as well as Relative Work and Freeflying. The Jump suit issue is also covered in the gear reviews. Of course this will all depend on your choice of skydiving disipline/s. IF I was your Instructor I would advise you to do 100(+or-) Belly RW jumps before going into vRW. It is just my opinion you will be a safer vRW jumper if your decent at Belly RW and the safety and survival skills you'll learn during that time will be helpful on down the line. 9. It is possible you need new FA's on those diag's for what ever reason. Mine does not slip so why would I loosen them up on purpose? It is just my opinion but the Sigma Harness is the best on the market. When I got our harness I was told "money will not limit your decision SFC Cline", so I called various companies, DZ's with high annual tandem numbers and the US Army Team, it seemed like a no-brainer to me, Sigma all the way. It is just possible that you have either a bad set of FA's or some thing is just a few degrees off in the adjustment. I don't know but, Bill or Marc should be able to help with a phone call. 10. Black micro fiber shorts and a little razer burn (the shorts make it better though). An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  11. If your asking me, the shoulder connections where the webing is routed through them is just at or slightly below the collar bone (some times lower just depends on the passenger). The chest strap goes right across the bottom two ribs (again lower or maybe just maybe higher depending on sex and size of bust). The hip connections are at the outside of the hip to allow the lower bands to srabalizethe hips as designed and the arch is not adversally effected. But with a quick push of the leg straps after opening the "sling" is easily created for a comfortable canopy ride. If the explanations are off I'm sorry, but the "picture is worth a thousands words" thing would be better, as I am 4 into a 6 pack. The quiten' whistle blew early today! 12. Your not married are ya? If I did that set up with the alarm and cell phone while hoping in and out of bed, I would get the ole' WWE smack down for sure! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  15. Maybe they really are reselling them? Of course a Terrorist act need not actually destroy or kill to acheive its goal (although for the Terrorist it is a side benifit) it is the disruption and fear they want to use to draw your attention. I have not seen the bridge but I am guessing a few of our dz.com'ers could render the bridge inoperable for weeks with just a small amount of explosives. 16. Kings Island would be great. (with the coaster coming down there is the space they need) Some what close to Dayton, Cinci and not to far from big cities in IN, KY and TN. Indoor of course would be year round clients. I understand it has been tried before and the invetors didn't like it. But that doesn't mean it wont work. There is even a resurgance of RW and that can help to bring in clients instead of them travleing to warmer areas all the time (yes skydivers are a small percentage of the clients for a none DZ tunnel and maybe even a DZ tunnel too, but they can help get the word out). What I think is amazing is the AAC tunnel isn't up to full speed? and it is still real fast and smooth! when it is up to full speed is stlye gonna be practiced there? how about speed diving practice? 17. I am a Vector II and Sigma user. I have never had an Issue with the Sigma harness slipping. Our harness is all black and is 4 years old with 200 ish jumps. The chest strap being in the jumpers face IMO is a fitting issue. If the lower back band and the rest of the harness stays put and is adjusted properly I do not see how the diagonals would cuase the chest strap to be in the students face. I suppose it could happen, but all the poor chest strap locations I have seen have all been due to poor fitting and not any slippage. I have also not heard (other than here on dz.com) any one complain about the Sigma Harness. I have seen a few T-I's adjust the harness in such a way the webbing isn't aligned in the FA properly and there is a potential for slippage there. It was a long way to get there, but No I have not had any slippage issues. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  18. If the tunnel was built near Cinci or Cleveland it would be just as active as any other tourist location when partnered with e sports team (the Bengals are popular again so they could draw clients). An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  19. Lately, yes. I used to be a fellow who weas up on his own and would turn the alram off before it sounded, have the coffee done and be sittin' on the porch ready to go for the day. But now I am hitting the snooze button more and more, but once up, I am moving as I used too. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  20. I was working at another DZ one weekend and every time I broke a tandem band I would put it in the trash as fast as possible, but some times would leave it on my gear bag till I got down from the next load if runing a bit behind. I saw another T-I tossing his broken bands on my gear bag, so I would carry them to the garbage, next to where his gear bag was. An Instructors first concern is student safety. 21. Cell phones are very popular detonation devices and signal senders. The right placement and you can do about any thing with little as apposed to large amounts of explosives. Seems the whole story needs to be told. Many folks do just what they claim in the story, buy bulk cheap and sell for profit. An Instructors first concern is student safety. 22. Alpha Mechanical makes 3 designs. The outdoor like AAC. (Running) An indoor. (designed and looking for placement) And a Portable is designed. (but only on paper) No excuses now huh? An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  23. You'll just go "broker", it is The Unisured Relative Workshop, no money there. You'll need to sue his College professor who was so good at teaching him to be succesful, that is where the money is at. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
