Xenia, OH-- Labor Day CASA Boogie!
matthewcline replied to boxingrrl's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Card, not a badge, cause... "WE DON'T NEED NO STICKEN' BADGES!" Yep funds (100%) go to the Associations acount to help the wounded out with things they need (wheel chair ramps, chair lifts for vehicles, care for family that aren't covered by Fisher house, etc.). In Leroydb's context yes. But I would suggest we could replace American for British and in that context it would apply in the UK. That should work for any other country as well. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

It is a little hard for me to see it real clearly. But it looks like your ok, if you can move your toes skyward about an inch or two (max) then you'll be able to apply the booty as it was intended. Have a instructor of yours look at the suit while you wear it next time your at the DZ, but over all it looks good! And don't forget, the first jump in the new suit you'll need to head over to the 12oz 24 per container isle and place em in the open for all! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

Pack it the way the owners manual that came with it says and you sould be back at the good opennings you had the first time. I roll the nose on my old Sabre 1 135 but not on my Riot 107. The nose rolling trick won't work on all parachutes as they aren't all designed the same (yeah, I know you knew that, I was saying it out load for every one who didn't) An Instructors first concern is student safety. All de-comissioned military equipment is supposed to be rendured "in-operable" (DoD regulations). It doesn't work out that way all the times. You may get lucky and buy 500 to 5000lbs of scrap nylon for $10.00 and find a couple of Accuracy Canopies, Zero-p's and the likes of a small DZ's student set up, it just depends on whereyou buy the stuff. If you find a 101st Canopy, I will tell you lines or not do not jump 'em, I send them to the DRMO (Defense Reutilization Marketing Office) as a final step before their grave. They will have no less than 5 years of 500+ jumps a year and 50+ smoke jumps annually (minimum, a new Demonstrator may make over 100 smoke jumps just for spring training). They do two years as a primary Demo Jumpers Canopy and 3 years as a student canopy. The last thing we do is make them the water training canopy for the new season and then once dry and all the clorine is set in the fabric, off to the coroner they go. They will make a great wall hanging or boat cover (we even used one as a cover for a monument on post once, it rained for 5 days on it and the bird crap ate oodles of little holes through the whole canopy) An Instructors first concern is student safety. To qualify must they only be skydives? If not, I could be the first double digit (ok many others would qualify first, but I am publicly whinning for it) An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

Tandem line twists that won't come undone

That is why the military has been teaching that technique for 60+ years. I have seen Jumpmasters brief that for both round and square jumps. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! -
My home town is Foster City CA. My soon to be new home town Eastern Clarksville TN. I like theslower pace and hate the concrete jungle life after 18+ years living in it. When I left it 20+ years ago Irelized I had more fun outdoors than any other place. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

I read the lines in the sub part and the deffinitions. I think the Rigger who is putting his name on it ( as far as the superviser role) needs to be present and able to watch the packing at all times, so in the same hanger I would say. The rigger I pack mains and reserves under is usually only 20 feet away and pretty much says that is what direct supervision is. It is his seal and name on the line so I will agree. Did another update come out or is that off the web page? Just trying to keep up with the times, and since your library is getting very complete, I figure I would ask you. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

I beleive the last update where Tandems became "non-experimental" was the rewording of the supervision phrase. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

With a slip knot right? Actually I got a Tetris that has sleeves built in and I am right in the middle of the pack again. So now I have a tetris with spandex forearms for faster dives and one with sleeves to slow me down. Stretching is a big part of performance in the air, I am not always good about it but I usually stretch every day before I start jumping and after (before the 12 once pain killers are taken). Once home I will use a heat program (shower, heating pad or what ever) to flex and relaxe a third time in the day. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
