  1. I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed with that trust. I'm glad that you were watching out for him.
  2. Who was critiquing anything? All I said is LP is not the best place for this, but never said he didnt do the correct thing ummmm.... there are VERY FEW "best places" for being unconscious at 13k feet. But... you are right that during boogies when the skies are full presents MUCH more of a challenge. I was just saying that since I (and likely MANY people) wasn't there at the time.... waiting to hear the "rest of the story" is probably wiser.
  3. We should probably wait for more information before making posts of critique or praise. But... that being said, I would prefer to trust that John apprised the situation and did what he thought was safest for that jumper and for the others in the sky.
  4. You are quite right. I don't consider this a "news site." It's a release for me. A chance to hear other perspectives and thoughts that I might not have considered. But I'm not naive enough to trust everything posted here, or on Fox or even on the infomercial that are sponsored by our wonderful government. in the ever so truthful words of Kay when discussing his sources: Never hurts to have a grain of doubt with respect to ANYTHING anyone says (or posts)
  5. Really? Have we be using the same internets.... cuz on mine, there are LOTS of post about rubbish. Even from so called "prudent people" You need a better filter, then. It took less than a minute to find out that the OP was yet another internet hoax. So, you are telling us that you only visit sites that are 100% reliable... like dz.com? Now who is posting outlandish rubbish? Putting words into someone else's mouth is NOT a very smart debating tactic. I expected better of you. You are critiquing my filters and suggesting that I need a better one. That does infer that yours is better. But yet we do visit the same website... right here, on dz.com. I would NOT consider dz.com to be 100% reliable. I would consider anyone that even tries to insinuate that he has a better filter to check his site history. Not words in your mouth... just trying to follow "logic"

  7. There are a few of us here... not as small of a number as you might think.

  9. Maybe it’s a reflection of the Marines I meet, but I haven’t met one who I would describe as retarded or dumb. /Marg I have to completely agree. One of my good friends here in Kansas City is a prior Marine. I believe that he is MUCH smarter than I am when it comes to the mechanical sciences. He understands engines much better than I can and I (and my husband) often discuss issues with him. AND... he's not just brilliant with engines, but also is rather skilled at conversation. Another friend that I have that was a prior Devil Dog, is a very skilled photographer. Definitely NOT a "retard." I agree that as a branch of the service, the Marines might have a lower cumulative IQ than ... say.... the Air Force..... but there might be a bit of bias in that statement.
  10. Boy, someone has quite a generous opinion of herself! I DARE ya to try some dude at random, and see if you're right! I'll even give you a random number: 305-562-rest available via PM You don't know. She might be all that. Some girls are that appealing for a "tap." Personally though [and this is without souring the grapes and being all kinds of jealous to those younger and more beautiful than I am (and there are MANY out there that fit that description)] I wouldn't want someone to just respond to a text to "tap that." So the fact that I would have far less that would respond to me as she would have respond to her.... I'm ok with that. But... since I don't want to deal with all that rejection () I just won't send out those texts. (well that and being married and being able to take care of things independently and all) - Seriously though.... has it ever really worked?
  11. May he and his family now have the peace that they deserve.
  12. I bet that was ONE HELLUVA mess to clean up!
  13. YET ONE more useful post from the professor. Wow. He really seems to intimidate you guys. Well... I don't know who you mean by "you guys" but if you could be more specific that would help. IF you meant me, then I would reply: No he doesn't intimidate me. His debate skills DISAPPOINT me.
  14. Careful there... or soon he's going to start claiming that you *gasp* wear a foil hat too!!! Don't question. Don't ask. Just accept. Cuz he's smarter and knows so much better what is good for you and your wife and me and .... well... basically everybody.
  15. 1. You're saying don't trust the "journalist." (actually... you are only implying don't trust "Fox journalist" - thus all other journalist are ok) And thank you for pointing out that he does state that it's with the dealer link - but since I haven't and DO NOT HAVE ANY INTENTION of going on that site anyway, I can neither prove you correct or incorrect. But... they have a hot girl telling the American population, you mean that a hot girl would lie to everyone?! (well... even if she lies, I bet most guys would still do her) 2. You're implying that the government is good and has no nefarious plans included in that disclosure. (And so many of your posts here lean toward such a trusting view of the government.) But what purpose would that disclosure provide? What LEGAL reason would there be for requiring such a blanket consent on that "term of use"? Or.. is this "if you aren't doing anything bad, you have nothing to be afraid of"? 3. Nice attempt to totally discredit her by bringing up the tinfoil hats. So... anyone that has any reservation that you don't seem to share MUST be simply crazy? 4. I just like numbered statement (kinda like Deadpool)
  16. Cut me wide and deep! It's a pain that I know too well. I took lil Marts girlfriend out for the day today... and heard "so THAT'S where he gets that!"
  17. Agh ... that was your first mistake - You should have been watching the Beeb (BBC)... Them 'merkans know nothing about our language Yer the one that wanted Turtle to do rude things to yer Harley. .
  18. Hmmmm.... I was a Captain. Is now a Doctor. Could fix older cars (the ones without all those fancy electronics stuffs) AND rides a motorcycle Damn, if I was a Marine, I'd be the perfect man! (well.... except being a woman. )
  19. (I'm guessing here.... but who taught her to drive? Was it you? Maybe THAT should scare you. )
  20. HEY!!! I was a Capt'n. No slaggin on the Ossifers. And speaking of Cap'n Morgan. RUM!!!!!
  21. I got in this conversation a little late... and you already have all the info that you pobably need. Insurance companies do TRY to wriggle out of obligations, but it should be easy for you to appeal those initial decisions and get them to pay. Florida was out of network for a Kansas City girl, but just be persistant and have the hospital and billers resubmit the bills to the insurance
  22. New math? 1 1/1... would that be 2 hours? or 11 hours? slipped, meant 1 1/2 hours.. apparently, everyone on here thinks they get the right to mock me with every post i write, but thats fine. maybe i really should stay absent for a while.. not that anyone would worry anyway, BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! awww... come on now. I wasn't trying to be mean. Aincha never been picked on by the girls before?
  23. New math? 1 1/1... would that be 2 hours? or 11 hours?
  24. Mt. Dew... all night long, it seemed.
  25. What changes for you when you make partner? Generally speaking, in professional firms, partners are "management", while non-partner associates are mere employees. Policy is usually set mainly, if not solely, by management. (Also, there usually are differences in the method/amount of partners' compensation, as contrasted with non-partner employees' compensation.) Exactly. I am "just an employee." I have no say with respect to policy or ultimate decisions of the group. I have opportunity to offer my opinion, but no vote (other than threatening to and ultimately walking away) Now... with respect to my patients, I have always been given the right to treat them as I feel is appropriate (meaning the GROUP doesn't limit my practice decisions... but insurance, INCLUDING medicaid, does)
