  1. Well... just looking back to this afternoon, a ride in the duece and a 1/2
  2. Have a GREAT DAY!! May this year bring you health and growth!
  3. Funny. I REALLY laughed at the two private investigators and the comment on the bad decisions make good stories!!! I wanted to tell the guy that did write it (and I know that you didn't really write it)... The alphabet thing - Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta
  4. Up there? When, where ... (and why you and not me) ? I've been in the back seat twice. 1991 (or maybe 1992), at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, and cuz ROTC nazis get spoilt.
  5. Ya know... I can't really think about anything. What's wrong with JohnMitchell? Good man, good husband, good father, good skydiver.... John, you gotta stop posting in this thread.
  6. Happy Birthday!! Enjoy the day... the week.... hell, just enjoy it all!!
  7. Who says it does? You love her. That's easy. What seems hard is letting the person that you love live happily without you. But what sometimes seems harder is living happily without the person that you love. But... you do it. You don't "get over it" nor do you "just move on to the next"... you just live at first... Take one breath and then the next. Watch one sunrise and then another. The days slowly make the pain less raw. You grow and mature. You live. In months or years... you might still have regrets, but you learn from that and realize just how precious the NOW is. Just how IMPORTANT it is to tell them that you care, to take the risks.... but learning comes later. Right now... you cry.
  8. Hey Superman... I was out of the country when you posted that. I hope it went well. I'm SURE that you passed. Tell us all about it.... oh and you know you owe some
  9. It's full of hot guys, either in uniform or half-dressed playing beach volleyball. Were there airplanes? Wendy P. mmmmmmmm..... the volleyball scene. it's 11pm, alone in my room, cuddled under blankets (it's winter in the Andes.... and this hotel has no heat.... wondering how I should warm up...... volleyball scene - I have that saved as a favorite in youtube ....
  10. So... just wondering.... in that picture, which one are you? Glad that you are doing well!! And I hope hydrotherapy really helps; I know that it helped me!!
  11. second note to self: GO TO BED!!! Silly girl! Busy day tomorrow - SLEEP NOW!
  12. Note to self: Give Lisa a BIG `OL HUG and a spank next time you see her. g Note 2 self: mooOOoow at lisa next time I talk 2 her. (Practices my mooOOoows and snoOorTssssssmm) Note to self: Give Lisa a Hug at Chicks Rock and remind her that love does bite... but sometimes that can be fun. Besides, who wants to die with a perfect heart. The patchwork ones have so much more story to tell.
  13. I'll confess. I've brought things to their attention. Agreed - we're all adults. this is the internets. I'm a "big girl." HOWEVER... that should not give someone an excuse to attack others. When I have no power, I ask those that do to review said insults or attacks and decide whether such comments are appropriate or need to be moderated. Remember... this is a moderated site. As such, when someone is not playing nice, they should kinda expect to be moderated. So... yup. I have pm'ed the mods (about insults, about inappropriate links, about inappropriate "jokes")
  14. When you post from a third world medical mission alone in your room drinking the pisco sour... and wondering "am I too tired to go to dinner tonight?"
  15. The attached image that you included - it appears to me that the slope of the line has remained relatively constant over the past 100 years (yes... I see the up´s and down´s but the overall slope) One would think that if it were due to the American culture change with what some on this site would call our *cough* frivolous lifestyle and cavilier use of autos, then the slope would have sharply risen starting in ... lets say 1980´s? or maybe even 1960´s?
  16. So far in this trhead, we´ve bashed those that thinking to "the right"and pulled out the "they´ve got guns" scare and made this "event" into a "mob mentality." "Free thought"? Who needs it? Just ask the government what you´re supposed to think.
  17. Just thinking about the Core Curriculum: 1. BE NICE. 2. THINK 3. If refusing to do number 2, refer to number 1.
  18. At least this one seems to be a real believer in God - unlike a lot of others, who claim they believe in Jesus but refer to mortal, mistake-making and imperfect human beings instead of perfect and omnipotent/omniscient Jesus when they got sick. Yes, her parents belief in God was "real." And if HE had diabetes and refused medical care, that I would ABSOLUTELY respect. But what about her beliefs and rights? As a child, did she have any rights in this situation? I know that would be a totally different discussion point, but a question to consider in this case would be "what rights do children have when it seems that their parents have deviated from social norms?" Should it be "I brought you into this world; I can take you out."? Or that parents have no personal judgment, only what society has accepted as "correct"?
  19. Spinal tap Amniocentesis ("tap the fluid")
  20. Probably so, but so far that has not caught my attention, this did. I am sure we all agree, acknowledge etc. this type of whacko stuff all the time and don't realize it, but like I said, this I saw so I put it out there for comment and to see how it would or would not affect me or my sister. Thank you to all of you that provided helpful information. To some of the other people that responded....BrendaHupp......I am a she not a he (careful.... some might "require" photographic proof. besides... sometimes it's better to be "just one of the guys")
  21. Thank you for your service and good luck in the civilian world. (It's scary out here sometimes)
  22. I went to shcool in upstate NY and to graduate you had to have passed Square Dancing. No joke! It was the best! The idea of having it as a part of Engineering class is to bring a bit of humanity back to the engineeing students. But since there are more guys than gals (100-1...it would look like one hell of a gang bang) you would have to import some Psych girls. The engineering guys would learn how to talk to girls and not get freaked out and the Psych girls would have great material for their papers! You keep mentioning psych girls. I don't think you've thought about WHY they decided to go into psych.... have you?
  23. What's wrong with Square Dancing?! (and are you talking mainstream, plus, advanced or challenge? And... yes, I do know the difference.... "Hi, my name is Karen and I'm a geek that can Square Dance.")
