Spent the last four years working my tail off and had this whole summer to write just one little chapter of a text book. One lil chapter.... instead I've been to WI, Phili, NYC, DC, South Dakota, Florida (NASA and Disney) edit to add - TX and motorcycle stuffs.... and just started the chapter yesterday. The official deadline is 1 Nov... but that's final copy submission date. I had set 1 Oct as final draft date...... Damn. HELP.... I need motivation.

Bob, May this be a journey that soothes the raw edges of loss. May she journey with you and give you peace. Fare well. Karen

He can share those too.... but it is about playing nicely and realizing that it's a small world and you might actually meet some of the people that you chat with on here. It's not all as isolated as it might feel.... Karen

Interesting video, but long (1:52:21). Alex Jones Terror Storm all about false flags and government coverups. Hard to know what to believe edit to add.... *crickets crickets**

What is it about Lady Drs that skydive that makes em so hot ?
kbordson replied to bozo's topic in The Bonfire
I don't believe that. The whole league theory is flawed. I don't think that real attraction is governed by what job one has or how pretty someone is. I like to hope that it's a deeper understanding of who a person is and what he/she thinks about life. But... I guess if you like the hockey helmet types.... -

Nope... the speculums! -
I would LOVE to get a Singer or a Union Switch and Signal! (sigh... someday) But my favorite one is the one that I was given to me by my private gunsmith when I went into the Air Force. Beautiful gun.

I love my mom GREATLY. She's so sweet that she'll make your teeth sore just talking to her. She gave me encouragement in life and I owe her so much for who I am. Karen

Chris, I wish more patients had this level of personal responsibility and interest in his/her health. I'm always a bit saddened when patients come in and don't even know what meds they're on. Squeak... sometimes doesn't matter how much you "teach" someone about their meds when all they hear is "Blood pressure medicine" and "Diabetes medicine." Luckily now... I'll just mainly be limited to drugs "safe" in pregnancy. Sorry you had to experience all that. Karen

My momma said that if I wasn't nice, she'd sell me to the gypsies.... and "If you don't have something nice to say... don't say nothing at all." and "all I know is I don't have it" (when we lost stuff) and "Now, Kono, Be nice." (heard that one A LOT!) Sorry that people aren't being as kind as they should be.... think of it this way - just proves your statement that we are somewhere in the middle on stuff. It's just that they're in a middle place somewhere different. One that might place them "higher" socially, but maybe lower "humanely" Like you said.... we are somewhere in the middle on stuff.

Well there's your problem; I didn't see any mention of bringing your TPS reports with the new cover sheets! Yeah. I got the memo. And I understand the policy. The problem is, I just forgot this one time. And I've already taken care of it so it's not even a problem anymore.

Spain's Policy on Runway Models - Good or Bad
kbordson replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
That makes it better... but it still reflects governmental discrimination. Maybe just phrased differently. I do admit, I didn't read the whole article... and spent more time on the posts to get different perspectives, so my reply was with the understanding that it was a proposed law and not just pulling of sponsorship, but I still don't agree with it. -
Spain's Policy on Runway Models - Good or Bad
kbordson replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm not mad about the policy, but I don't agree with it. You could say "You're American. What do I (the Spanish peoples) care what you think?" And it's true that the laws that Spain enacts has less effect on the US, but it does influence other governments and cultures. Example... their models can't work there anymore cuz they're too thin, so they hop a border and work elsewhere. Or the "heavier" models migrate from one country to another. Borders are weak barriers. I personally would be quite annoyed if the US government enacted that law. Not that I wouldn't rather the models be more "healthy" but because it's none of their business. "Models are role models"... where are parents "Health Issues" Already stated that obesity is a bigger health issue, but yet we're not firing the secretary for weighing 250#. If anyone should have made that move, it should have been the union for the models that should be looking out for their health and welfare. Or the people by just not buying whatever item was being modelled by someone "too skinny." -
God/1st Law of Thermo, Part 5, Free Will
kbordson replied to StreetScooby's topic in Speakers Corner
*God.... difficult concept to understand, even despite (or maybe because of) the Catholic Schooling. Friends and I were recently discussing God/Unseeable beings/aliens. Dale, one of my friends, gave an excellent reason for our lack of understanding. Imagine an ant. Sitting on the anthill, involved in ant life... the shadow of a truck passes over. Will the ant know what the driver of the truck was thinking.... or will the ant even recognize that the shadow belonged to a truck.... or will the ant just be glad that it isn't dark anymore and go on his merry ant way? Our ability to directly percieve other realities/dimensions is limited. However... it's not to say that we can't, in time, learn to "see" better. *I've recently read Running from Safety by Richard Bach (author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull) where he discusses God and the injustices in life. He first asks if God is "all-powerful" but cruel in allowing pain and suffering. Then asks if God is "all-loving" but powerless to effect change on the choices of humanity. So there are two main choices: A cruel God or a powerless God. Through the next chapter he destroys this context of thought. Replacing it with the "Life Is" way of thinking. Life is... no matter what. I liked the way that he better explained that using the number 8 as an example. That part is hard to paraphrase... but it's basically that the idea of 8 exists. We can make it appear any way we want... but it exists despite how we precieve it. And if we ignore the principle of 8, arithmetic sucks... but the number 8 still exists. *Another discussion with a different friend.... Greg once wondered if thought/spirit could be "measured" like the electorns around a nucleus with different shells or orbits. When you feel excited or active - that would be a higher energy state, but then things could fall and the potential energy would be converted to kinetic energy for something else that the body had need for. (Healing, growing) Agreed -

Stupid White Coat effect. It's not like Dr.s are scary. I don't wear the thigh highs in the office.

And the streets of Missouri will never be safe again... And... I think I might have found my first bike already. It's a 71 Harley Sportster. Needs a little restoration work, and a military paint scheme... might be good. (Good as in BAD!) (but also will - in time- get a sport bike and go VERY VERY fast)
