Playboy to feature a famous MILF on its November cover!
GQ_jumper replied to NWFlyer's topic in The Bonfire
I wonder if Jessica Rabbit ever made a cover? If not, she should have! I just went on a date with Jessica Rabbit 2 weeks ago, HHHOOOTTTT History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -

Why would we refresh your memory when you already know the whole story about how the Jessica Lynch mission was filmed in Hollywood somewhere? On a serious note though Jessica Lynch is no hero, she is a failure. The fame she received was pathetic. She was rewarded for failing to do her job. Far greater soldiers have accomplished much more and received much less gratitude than she received. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

For those fighting in Afghanistan*** You mom is fighting in Afghanistan. Moms are OK right? Bill? Anyone? I don't think I've seen any mom joke rules on the website. Figured I might as well drop down to the samelevel as any post revolving around a 9-11 conspiracy theory. I wonder what all the missing passengers living on that non-existent island in the pacific think about this. That's where the government stashed 'em right? On an island? Actually the second season has already started. The bully's words were priceless! He kept talkin about how he is "the line" the 10% on one side of him are the strong and the other 90% are the weak. And Jason Miller of course called him out by saying, "so if you're the line, and everyone on the left side of you is strong, wouldn't that make you the weakest strong guy?" Oh the interview was great, and he was spanked too. They brought in Eddie Alvarez who is ranked as the number 3 lightweight fighter in the world across all the promotions. I don't think they'll have a hard time finding bullies, look at the people that come on the show. These idiots truly believe that with zero experience they are tough enough to handle someone who lives and breaths to fight. MTV. I'm not a big MTV fan, but this show is great. I was scrawny growing up and was always bullied so watching these assclowns get torn apart is so entertaining. The funniest thing is when the "bullies" talk about how they can fight, and can't be submitted because they'll just stand up and shake the fighter off of them and then they get embarrassed. Now if only I could nominate the idiots that I always hear heckling the TV screen during UFC events with phrases like, "why doesn't he just stand up and punch him, I'd just stand up, why doesn't he just step back and punch him instead of getting put on the ground?". Like every fighter who has ever ended up on the ground simply forgot to step back and punch, so simple ins't it?! BULLY BEATDOWN!!!! I just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm addicted. How can you not love watching assholes that pick on guys half their size stepping into a cage with a pro-MMA fighter? Its so funny watching some douche bag say they're going to knockout a pro fighter and that it would take an act of god to submit them and they end up getting tapped out 5 times in 3 minutes and knocked out in 1. The $2000 a month is from the GI bill, which everyone who has been in the service is entitled to unless they left under unfavorable conditions. I couldn't find any info on actual .mil websitesabout the Navy's prior service bonuses, but what I did find on unofficial websites showed that you can get money for joining the reserves at the end of your active commitment. And once he gets his hands on the bonus the Navy as no say as to what its used for. If he wants to clean up his credit report which is a big part of any background check than nobody can tell him to do otherwise. Hope this helps. Unused Stimulus Money Returned to Taxpayers
GQ_jumper replied to SkyChimp's topic in Speakers Corner
I've been digging around for some information to confirm or deny it, but I have heard that we haven't printed much money at all yet. The stimulus wasn't designed to be a one time 800 billion dollar dump into the economy, it was designed to trickle in as the programs need it. With as much money as we have been raising through the bond auctions recently I'm not sure we've printed all that much to begin with. It seems we have the opportunity to rethink a number of the programs involved with the stimulus and trim down our spending or even redirect it to ones that may have the biggest effect. The last thing we need is to "give it back to the tax payers" as this would actually constitute more spending and considering the amount of free handouts we are already giving out we would be better served to not spend it at all and curb the deficit. UFC 101:Anyone have the guts to bet on Griffin?
GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
Actually I didn't get a chance to put any money down b4 the fight so I got lucky! And Griffin didn't suck in any way in that fight, he went toe to toe with the best pound for pound fighter in the world who has apparently rediscovered his motivation, and Forrest still had the balls to get in his face more than anyone else has done in the last year. The shots Forrest took were right on the button and would've dropped anybody. I'd be willing to bet you've never taken a punch to the jaw in your life and have absolutely no idea when someone hits you with real accuracy and power. Forrest made a mistake or two and telegraphed some of his strikes but he's still better than 95% of that division. Forrest put it best when he said Anderson Silva makes the best fighters look bad in comparison. A Ferrari is an awesome sports car but next to a formula 1 its nothing, doesn't make it a crappy sports car, he was outclassed by the best. Forrest will come back and be a credible force in teh LHW division. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -

UFC 101:Anyone have the guts to bet on Griffin?
GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
I saw a few pics of Silva doing a bit of training and he looked a bit beefier than usual. Haven't gotten to see him next to Forrest though I'll have to check out the pics. It's still different though, Forrest is cutting from 230-240, Anderson I doubt is cutting from more than 215-220 and Forrest is used to the weight. Unfortunately its only a 3 rounder so Forrest won't be able to really drag him into deep water to test his cardio but if Forrest gets him up against the cage and starts working him over he could easily wear him out. It's going to be a very interesting match, I can't wait. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -

GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
Also about the p4p thing - who cares? Look at what happened to BJ when he went up in weight. Quote That is a very different situation than this one though. Forrest isn't even ranked on the p4p list, whereas BJ and GSP were both in the top 4 on every p4p list. Of course one has to take into account that Forrest has set a precedent in the last 2 years that he can destroy any top-ranked fighter in the world. Rua and Jackson were both the #1 LHW fighters when they fought Griffin and look how that ended for them. What really cracks me up about this UFC is the attitude everyone is taking towards Penn. Once again we are hearing the praises about how a "focused, invigorated" Penn is the most dangerous person in the sport. Funny thing is they say that before every one of his fights and everytime it turns out to be BS. How many times can you refocuse and reinvigorate yourself? When you've set a precedent that you're failure after he first round you're pretty much branded for life. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. I have actually never bet money on a UFC, I'll make fun bets with my friends all the time where the loser has to do something degrading but turn down offers for money. I may put up some money online for this one. It's a stupid bet but I just can't stop believing that Griffin will achieve greatness every time he steps in the cage. Plus I want to be able to say I bet on Griffin if he wins!! I'd be da man!! The extra weight may very well affect Anderson in the 3rd round, but rumor has it he usually walks around over 200 between fights so this shouldn't be too big of a change for him. It's Forrest's size that will wear him down. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -

GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
There is no way Forrest can make 185. Anderson is going up in weight. I don't see why Forrest is that much of an underdog. He's a lot bigger and stronger than Anderson is typically fighting and you can guarantee that Forrest will be ready to go, unlike a typical Anderson fight which is over before the bell even rings. It'll be interesting to see how he reacts to someone who isn't afraid of him and trades blows. You are correct, the fight will take place at 205. Forrest walks around at 230-240 pounds, there is no way he could ever make middleweight. He is also the underdog because he is challenging the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. On paper there is no aspect of this fight apart from size that Forrest holds an advantage in. And that size advantage only comes into play if Forrest can force Anderson into a position to have to use it. When you consider Silva's tendency to be a counter-striker, along with the reach that he possesses than this fight tilts even more in favor of Silva. On paper there is no way Forrest can win this fight, but luckily fights don't happen on paper, if they did Randy would've retired[for good] years ago. I see this fight going to Forrest due to his inability to be intimidated and willingness to take punishment to force his game plan. GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
Yeah i've called a handful of upsets in the last few years, I called Mir over Nog. I personally believe Frank to be the better ground fighter as well, he has much more dynamic submissions than Nog. Anderson is the better striker in every aspect but I think Forrest's size may present some awkwards scenarios if he pushes the pace and utilizes good footwork. Plus I think if it goes to the ground Anderson will find himself surprisingly overwhelmed. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -

GQ_jumper replied to GQ_jumper's topic in The Bonfire
For obvious reasons Forrest is the HUGE underdog against Anderson in this fight which begs the question, is anyone going to bet on him? I know I will! It isn't considered the smart bet but Forrest has become the new Randy Couture, you never count him out and you never bet against him when the odds are in his opponents favor. And of course since I utterly despise BJ Penn, especially after he he had him mommy file a complaint with the NSAC after his fight with GSP And the little turd refuses to admit he's ever lost despite having only a 4-3 record since returning to the UFC. i hope Kenny uses those elbows to rip his skull open. What's everyone elses take? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower -
I think you misunderstand the 60 day rule - should review it. And the overlimit fee was a joke - the bank should be declining the transaction if it puts the user over their limit. Quote I may very well have misunderstood the 60 day rule, I was under the impression that late fees cannot be imposed for 60 days, which is completely unfair to the credit card companies. The over limit fees though, are clearly stated in the contract, they may not be right, but the user is aware of them and "accepts" responsibility when they use the card at or near their limit. Just like the penalty one must pay when they write a bad check. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

More of the same. Protect those who run up debt at the expense of those who responsibly keep it in check. Maybe restricting credit in a credit crisis will be a good thing. Quote I personally think is going to be the negatice impact of the bill. I agree that there are some practices that need to be more closely regulated, but telling a credit card company that they can't charge late payments for 60 days despite those charges being clearly stated in the contract, or eliminating over limit fees is going to cost those of us that use our credit responsibly. Watching the news I saw a report a few minutes ago about the methods that are going to be used to make up for the loss of income the credit card companies are going to see from this bill. We can expect higher ATM fees, slightly higher interest rates across the board, and more annual fees. So once again, everyone who acts responsibly, doesn't abuse their credit, and accepts fault when they miss a payment and works to remedy the situation on their own is being screwed by the irresponsible. Is it just me or is the country experiencinga systematic destruction of responsibility at both the personal and corporate level? We're bailing out companies that should have failed, and giving irresponsible borrowers more incentive to continue their ways. It started in the last administration and is being continued in this one, pure BS if you ask me. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

Considering your usage of alcohol, it would seem you and the obese have something in common. Quote So you dig up some posts of mine from over 3 years ago and feel you've completely trumped my argument?? Is that the best you people can do? I've never claimed to be anywhere near perfect, and up until a few years ago I drank fairly regularly. After my second trip to Iraq my drinking got to the point where it almost ended my career, I had some PTSD issues and took the easy way out instead of working through it. I worked past what was going trough m head when I went back to Iraq for a third time and got to face the issues head on. Two years ago I started cutting back on my drinking and nowadays you'll rarely if ever find me being anything other than the DD. Alcohol was the final piece of the puzzle for me in cleaning up my lifestyle. Weight lifting came first, I started when I was 14, then cardio, then diet, and most recently alcohol. I drink on rare special occasions now and keep it in moderation. The difference is I was man enough to admit I was doing stupid shit, how many people in here are making choices that have negative effects on their health and won't admit it or say its ok because they're happy? How's this for everyone who thinks it doesn't matter, what's going to happen to your family when you eat your way to an early grave? And what kind of example does that gluttonous lifestyle set for the next generation? Everyone trying to BS themselves into thinking they aren't affecting anyone else are full of it. I think everyone needs to put there hurt little feelings aside and go back and read my original post. There wasn't a single malicious word in there, and I never said an unkind thing about the obese, I also made it very clear that I am well aware of the fact that not all people have control over their situation, yet apparently people didn't read my post and tried to use examples of their friends with injuries or illnesses to turn it around on me.I just showed a little tough love. But since I didn't sugar coat what I said to protect people's feelings everyone took it as an attack. Sorry if I don't believe in beating around the bush when I'm trying to make a point, but if you're guilty of something you should be a big enough person that you can step up and admit it. And if your feelings are just too sensitive to deal with the truth than tough shit, this oversensitive PC crap is dragging everyone down and I'm sick of it. The only thing that bothers me is the demonizing of fit and thin people. My daughter is thin. Healthy as all get out, she eats fine, she's still skinny, always has been. Doctor says no big deal. The last doctor visit, she told us (quietly) that it was really nice to treat a healthy kid instead of the fatties she sees more and more of. You'd be amazed at how many yuppie parents of fatso lardass kids will meet her and tell her she's "too skinny". This while arguing at PTA meetings that it's unfair their little Jonny can't have snacks all day like at home. Well, compared to their couch potato snacking spoiled brats, I suspect she looks so. Good body image should be about celebrating those that take charge of themselves and have something to be proud of. Not just 'acceptance' of a couch potato so they don't cry. I know people that are fat or thick, those that work hard and try their best to take care of themselves I accept and are proud of them - no matter what results they get. They are doing their best. That's a lot different than accepting a friend that is systematically killing themselves through neglect. The tough part is, you have to know the individual to find out which path they are taking. Quote The attitudes being displayed in this forum are exactly the reason why we have such a problem in our country. That and the fact that people in here don't bother to read what someone posts, they see someone that doesn't agree with everything they see posting and start typing counter statements for the sake of arguing with someone. Like you've mentioned its getting to the point where people who work hard to live a healthy life are becoming the enemy while attitudes that lead children to growing up and continuing the unhealthy lifestyle their parents led are becoming more predominant. But whatever, how dare I try and encourage people to take better care of themselves. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

Perhaps there is a lesson there somewhere for the OP. Quote Feel free to actually read the article and understand the point I'm trying to make instead of looking at a post from someone you typically disagree with and looking for excuses to knock them. I have never in my life treated an obese person the way your PJ buddy did, maybe you should make better choices in who you surround yourself with. I do not ridicule the overweight, but at the same time I have no sympathy for them when their life takes a turn for the worse. It's funny how so many people on here are constantly bitching and whining about all the wastefulness in our country leading to our current situation. Our own greed contributed to the state of our economy, and as a result there is a constant string of threads in here ripping apart the people that caused this problem, among the many others we are facing. So why is it suddenly so bad to point out one of the other problems facing our country? You and the others who have responded to my thread have tried to justify the wasteful and excessive lifestyles of the people I was posting about. I didn't put a single insult in my thread, merely pointing out how we as a nation need to change our attitudes and lifestyles for our own benefit much the way you and many others are always arguing for changes in the government that will benefit all of us. Yes in all honesty these people do disgust me but I typically keep those feelings to myself and rather than try and belittle them for it I work to encourage change in their lives. So how dare I bring up a list of points that may encourage positive change. There is absolutely no downside to encouraging health and fitness, so why am I the bad guy here?
