  1. The 82nd, said a second special operations officer, “is a poor substitute … [it is] a blunder to use them on an op with dark side operators.” Quote I've been in Ranger battalion and I've seen what the 82nd is capable of and this officer deserves a right hook to the jaw for saying that. In the capacity the Rangers are typically used the 82nd can get the job done if their command allows them to operate the way they need to. They're soldiers, you give them a tasking, they WILL accomplish it. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  2. Isreal has countries on all sides of them calling for the end of their existence and yet people get upet whe Isreal makes a move. A man puts a gun in your face and says he intends to kill you are you supposed to wait until he pulls the trigger and then fight back, or do you point up and say, "hey look at that!!" and then sucker punch them? I don't agree with everything Isreal does, but if they take a few pop shots at targets of military value to keep their enemies in check, given their present situation I think I'll still be able to sleep at night. 3. Nice strategy. Another example of "guilty until proven innocent". Except that the victim has no chance to prove his or her innocence, since the punishment here is immediate death penalty... Quote One thing I don't like about this article is that it says the court martial is being conducted in Iraq to minimize publicity. That is about the stupidest this I have ever heard. It is being conducted in country because the presiding official in a court martial is one's own chain of command, and since the commanders of these soldiers are in Iraq the court martial is being held their. Media sources will do anything to try and show some sort of deception when there is none. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  4. No predictions from me, I'm just lookng forward to 3 great fights, and I'm happy as hell that I'm not on a mission during UFC for the first time in 3 months!! History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  5. Thanx for the info guys, I just spent the last month at the lonliest outpost in Iraq detached from the world so I haven't ben able to keep up. I just saw the 4 way videos though, they looked amazing, even after the WC performance Airspeed still continued to improve. I could see a couple blocks that looked twice as good as back in July after a seemingly flawless performance. It's a great time to be getting into 4 way
  6. I can't believe I missed it I spent the morning after FS had ended on my tiptoes on the roof of my humvee trying to get reception to call back to someone at the nearest base to check the scores and let me know who won!! So what are the plans for the 8 way team this year? Are Dan, Jack, Dennis, and Brian going to train for the WM? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 7. (why can't we have batman type text?) Quote because it's trademarked, duh History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  8. hahaha I didn't realise doing hypotheticals of invading a third sovereign nation for the century were "contingency plans". Quote It is better to have and not need, than need and not have. Do you not agree that it would better to have a plan on the shelf in case we choose to step onto the battlefield with any given nation so all we have to do is pull it out and set it into action, or would it be better to not have any plans and when the need arises have to make one from scratch? I just spent the last two weeks at a remote outpost, where we sleep at night we are on a hilltop and can see for at least 2K in every direction, there are also have Iraqi Security Force checkpoints on all the major roads leading to our compound and there is nothing significant within 3K, so anyone trying to approach the compound is immedeatly identified because they have no other reason to be out there. Chances of us getting hit in the night are slim to none, yet we still man guard towers and have a base defense plan, do you consider it foolish or over-agressive to prepare ourselves for that situation? 9. Ran into Kirk and the rest of the gang today at lunch, they said that Oct should be go time! Quote That's what I like to hear, I'll be home by the end of October and I have this crazy feeling I'll be swinging by the tunnel to say hi shortly thereafter History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 10. KKKIIIRRRKKK!!!!!!!! What's the countdown lookin like? Is that thing gonna be up and spinnin by the time I get home? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  11. Cora, look into a cruise, you can get a 3-5 day cruise for less than 400 if you shop around, and all you have to pay for on the ship is your booze. And if you need a good cabana boy for the cruise drop me a line, I don't take up much space and I'm a hard worker History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 12. What happened the last week or two was a simple correction movement.Quote I was waiting to see who would call that one first! The market just outpaced its support and is scaling itself back to even itself out, nothing more. Anytime the market drops a few days in a row people are screaming about another collapse and everyone goes into panic mode and starts making irrational decisions wih their investments. Unless you're a day trader all you need to do is weather the storm, if you made good decisions to begin with and put your mney in solid investments you have nothing to worry about. 13. So Mr Smith we see from your DNA that you have disposition to a heart desease... of course we'll consider your application for Life insurance cover. Quote DNA collection is intended to be a method of identification, not a means to unravel the medical fate of everyone on the planet. My DNA was collected by the military so if my body is torched beyond recognition and my teeth are turned into chiclets by an explsion my remains can still be identified. Once again, research before making statements like that. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  14. Do you really want the possibility of your genetic makeup getting into just anybody's hands.... Identity theft will look like a minor issue once DNA theft becomes rife.... Dont think so? Quote And what would these criminal masterminds do once they got their hands on this precious DNA?? This thread is starting to sound like the plot to a crappy 007 movie. I hear people complaining about how DNA will be used against us by the government, or whatever super villain gets their hands on it, but not a single person can give a reason as to what can be done with it once it's stolen. Does everyone think there will be a huge vault somewhere with millions of tubes with everyone's DNA and if someone gets their hands on one it can be thrown in the microwave to make a clone that will frame you for murder? I'm just curious to know what people think is going to happen, the feds will take a DNA sample use it to get a computer imprint of your DNA and keep it on file. If you become a suspect in a crime and htere is DNA evidence at the scene, your name could be cleared before you ever go to court. If your kids go missing they could more easily be identified as being yours, there would no longer be unidentified bodies becuase a simple DNA check would PID them. My DNA has been on file for the past 8 years and I've never had an issue with it. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  15. I do think you are on to something in that if the feds gets our DNA they will use it against us. Quote And how would it be used against us? I hear a lot of people complaining about how giving the gov. our DNA would allow them to control us or use it against us, but how?? What downside is there to the government having everyones DNA on file? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

    Fatique?

Were you all sitting around waiting for the load or up and moving around? That would make a huge difference. Cardio also plays a big part, I'm sure if you asked any world class skydiver how important fitness is they would tell you it can mean the difference between a good training day and a great training day. And if all else fails, Go Fast is your friend, now if you'll excuse me I have to go pick up a check from Go Fast History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 18. I asked for the stick cause I was dehydrated, it was just plain old saline solution. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  19. I asked my medic to stick me with an IV about 5 minutes ago and since I've already had a few sticks this week he had to go low on my forearm to find a site that hadn't ben used in the last few days. Trying to get the tournequit(sp) to stay tied around the bigger part of my forearm was giving him trouble so I grabbed it and did it with one end in my opposite hand and the other end of the band in my mouth. Got it tied first try in a perfect slipknot, and then it hit me that I must have been a crackhead once upon a time And I've also found out from typing this that I can type about 35 words a minute one handed!! 20. I always had my own desk. No need for the boss's desk. My old office in LA was AWESOME for that. Something about the view that just sealed the deal.Quote Yeah but my boss is leaving Iraq in a few days 2 go home so I figured it was an appropriate going away present considering the whole time we've been here I've been told countless times I'm not allowed to bring females into the teamhouse. Thats why I had to use the sniper tower last week History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  21. That makes sense but having the National championships soon after World Competions seems silly. World Meets are always in early August are they not? Quote Usually they are around that time of year, however for the US the nationals that takes place right after the WM every other year isn't a "selection" year. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  22. Lost count of the first number but I'm guessing it's more than 10-0(I'm in Iraq, can't jump)-and 1(had a first this weekend) History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  23. violating it how?Quote Having sex on top of it, and yes, there's evidence. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  24. And qualification!Quote Bingo!! In the US, you can win all the WC events you want, but if you don't win nats. you don't go to the WM, simply put. So straining yourself for one more medal in a year isn't worth burning yourself out for nats. That's the way I see it at least, top teams very well may have completely different take on the whole situation, I can't comment on it. take care everyone dan History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  25. I'm just wondering, if you had the opportunity to pull something like that, would you? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
