  1. I mention it because so many of the COCKBAG CHICKENHAWKS here and in our country in general seem to LOVE WAR......I want THEM TO GO GET SOME. and YES they fucking PISS ME OFF... They are CRAZY BRAVE with other peoples kids BLOOD but NEVER their own...and THAT PISSES ME OFF If they want to wrap themselves in the flag and be all PATRIOTIC... they need to do something to SERVE OUR COUNTRY. I am SICK TO DEATH of Blue Star Mothers becoming GOLD STAR MOTHERS... for this fucking stupid bunch of morons who got us there. Quote I honestly don't waste my time worrying about bullshit like this anymore, I'm a soldier, there's always going to be some asshole in office willing to send me to my death and not give a fuck if the name on my headstone is going to be Dan or dickhead. It's just the way shit works, soldiers are a tool for politicians, and those of us that live up to our comittments understand that. What I do get concered about is the motherfuckers that duck out of their duties. I know people wrapping up their fourth consecutive deployment, who have been begging for a stateside assignment for a few years so they can save their marraiges and get their head straight, yet still stand tall and board the plane to Iraq when their request is kicked back and these fucking assholes get scared to go on their first trip and turn tail and run. And the worst fucking part is that the majority of the deserters are in support roles. I have yet to catch word of one person in the SF community going AWOL before a deployment. As a matter of fact a couple of us on my team turned down stateside assignments because the team would have been under strength without us, we were on our 3rd or 4th trips and volunteered to go back, and if more people would fullfill their obligations and fill slots on team than we wouldn't be coming home for round 3 broken down and fucked up in the head. That's what gets me pissed off, I could write a book about the injuires I have now thanks to the war and these fucksticks were scared they would get tednonitis in their wrist from pushing paper all day and took off to Canada. I say fucking execute them publicly to send a message. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  2. And once again the way this thread has digressed makes me want to puke, we went from discussing how people who turn tail and run on their committments should be handled and here comes everyone trying to play the left v right game. Start your own fucking thread to argue this bullshit, it gets really fucking old really fucking quick. These cockbags new when they signed up that there was a war going one, and if by chance they were in prior to 9-11 they've had plenty of time to get out the right way. they are cowards, it has nothing to do with the "chickenhawks" like you have to mention in every thread Amazon, and it has nothing to do with the current administrations "lies" Kallend, and all the people that argued their replies and fueled them is just as guilty of fucking this discussion up. I am not arguing whether or not this war is right, or whether or not the current administration has a good record of military service, I just would like to see certain people quit trying to push their own agenda in every thread. This thread was supposed to be about individuals who don't fullfill their committments but reading the last page and a half I have gotten completely lost, WTF? 3. Of course it bothers me. If no employers would hire them, they wouldn't come. Seems to me that it should be easier and cheaper to police a few thousand employers than a few million Mexicans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There ya' go! I totally agree with you on that. That also happens to be a law on the books that isn't 'really' enforced. Chuck Quote We need to polic both, make an example of the people that employ illegals as well as the illegals that cross. How many people would still want to come into this country illegalyif they heard that people who were caught crossing the border were given all the healthcare they want under the condition that they work off the debt to the government? Sheriff Joe had it right, don't "punish" them for coming in just make them pay their dues in a work camp and then send them on their way. It isn't punishment, it's just making them pay for themselves instead of making the taxpayers suffer for their crimes. 4. Well looks like my call wasn't on tonight, Rashad pulled this one out via split decision. Bisping very well could've pulled this one out he just didn't let his hands fly the way he should've. alexander got crushed though, many people questioned his ground game and Thiago put it to the test. I took a quick look at his stance when he was squaring up with Thiago and it was blatantly obivous that Alexander hasn't spent much time at all grooming himself to be effective on the ground or in a clinch scenario, he has a strictly boxing stance and that is no good against a takedown. Hands only get you so far in this game, all those boxing over MMA people may want to take notice of this one History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 5. you know Kallend, that article you just poted has brough up the exact reason that I no longer wish to stay in my unit. IMO the military has gone to shit in the last few years, my career field especially. I've noticed lately that the discipline that used to be instilled in soldiers in basic has gone away because people are afraid to get in some little shitbirds ass when they fuck up for fear of that little puke calling their congressman to complain. I've seen more soldiers mouthing off to NCO's lately, unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of having a young soldier mouth off to me in the last few years and think they can get away with it, I wonder why. I'm fucking sick of being in a military that's going to shit and being surrounded by worthless pukes that think it's ok to get out of deployments by faking injuries, coming up with bullshit family problems, getting pregnant at conveniantly the right time, or just running away. I just about lose my mind everytime I leave my compound and go somewhere on post filled with regular Army soldiers. at least I'm headed somewhere that will keep me away from this shit. 6. As a few people have posted earlier, take it up with the people in the Air Force who have the job of enforcing standards. In the Army we have the IG, and JAG is there to interpret regs if need be. The way to go about it is to ensure you have all the paperwork in hand your wife signed stating what she is required to do and have. Then find the regs covering it and bring them up to the chain of command, if they continue to resist tell them you intend to bring the issue up through outside channels(ie IG) if a better solution isn't found. the GQ_jumper method of dealing with command issues in which you threaten to rip the spine out of the next person to mouth off to you only works if you have that GQ_jumper charm so stay professional at all times good luck History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 7. Well a few months back we were all hoping for the big Ortiz evans rematch, unfortunately contract disputes and prior committments have sidelined Tito until early 08. So instead we get what has the potential to be an awesome fight, Bisping and Evans, both undefeated, and both winners of the Ultimate Fighter series. For anyone who doesn't feel like reading my long winded rant breaking down how the fight is going to go I'll throw in my vote now, Bisping. For everyone else, here's the fun stuff. Rashad Evans was the heavyweight winner of TUF season 2, after winning the series he dropped down to the 205 division. Rashad comes from a wrestling background, he was a first class collegiate wrestler for Michigan state with effective takedown skills. His standup is questionable at best, yes he has a highlight reel knockout via headkick, but that headkick was sloppy as hell and falls more into the realm of getting lucky. His handwork has never been impressive, he doesn't throw solid combinations at all. He recently fought Tito to a draw which many believe was a big accomplishment, Rashad even managed to convince himself after the fight that he beat Tito, and I'm sure it helps him sleep at night thinking that. Looking back at the Tito Rashad fight, rashad looked scared the entire fight, Tito completely dominated the standup game(yes, Tito can punch!) and Tito consistently took him down at will. Rashad finally made a sprint in the second half of the last round, aided by Tito's nagging back injury Rashad was able to secure the final takedown to get the nod for round three. Tie that in with Tito losing a point for grabbing the fence and you have a draw, which basically means Rashad saved his perfect record by a technicality. Rashad has never quite been able to establish himself as a big finisher, he seems to lack confidence and agression, and to top it all off, he's immature and unprofessional. Take a look at the post fight interview with Tito to see the textbook definition of how a 7 year old should be expected to act. So, IMO Rashad is going to come up short on his feet, his collegiate wrestling skills may have helped him "survive" his fight with Tito, but they are by no means dominating like those of Ortiz or Randy. If Rashad comes out with a level of agression we've never before seen he may eek out one more win and hang on to that undefeated status until his next fight, but if he comes in with his usual pace he's done. Micheal Bisping was the light-heavyweight fighter winner for season three of TUF, he's a solid striker that typically finishes his fights via KO or TKO, rarely will he let it fall into the judges hands. Bisping is coming of a questionable decision win over fellow TUF 3 alumni Matt Hamill, I unfortunately missed the fight(thanks Iraq) but from what I understand many cnsider it to have been Hamill's fight. Regardless of the outcome of the fight one thing was clear, Bisping can defend against a takedown. Rashad my be a first class college wrestler, but Hamill was on the road to Olympic glory before straying into the world of MMA, and Bisping effectively defended himself against Hamill's wrestling skills the entire fight. If Bisping comes to this fight with the same takedown defense as in his last, Rashad is in for a long day. Rashad's only chance is in the ground and pound, and Bisping seems to have his number there. Bisping is also a southpaw, which presents a complex challenge for any right-handed fighter to deal with, fighting a lefty completely changes your sight picture and forces you to defend punches coming from an angle you aren't used to unless you have spent a lot of time sparring lefties. And since Bisping is a very skilled striker there is no doubt in my mind that he has taken the time to solidify his footwork whcih will allow him to set up for the big straight lefts. A couple solid left crosses and Rashad will be flinching and juking his head right, which will set him up for the left hook finisher(I hope!). To further compliment his already solid striking skills Bisping has recently teamed up with Rampage and his trainer Juanito Ibarra to continue to improve his hands. If that name rings a bell to anyone its because Ibarra is known for making De La Hoya into the one of boxing's greats. Bisping has also been using Tito's facility in big bear for his training camps, so you can rest assured that his cardio is stellar walking into this fight. As for his personality, Bisping has pissed me off a time or two, he's a tad cocky at times, and didn't win any hearts when he was standing 5 feet behind Matt Hamill talking shit knowing that the deaf Hamill couldn't hear him. But from what I've seen he gives credit where credit is due, he even tried to shake Rashad's hand at the weigh in only to have Rashad pull his typical routine. Overall it should be a good fight, I'm looking for Bisping to keep his undefeated status and Rashad to walk away with a handful of excuses as he always does. And for the record, in the last 9 months there have only been 3 fights that I have called wrong, I don't know how I do it, I just do History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. 8. They should hand for being deserters in time of war. They are worse than being just uselessQuote I'm wondering how long it's going to take for all the people to chime in calling these two brave and heroic for standing up for what they believe in. I'm sick of hearing about little fucks like this turning tail and running away, and I'm just as sick of seeing dirt bags faking injuries, coming up with fake mental problems, or intentionally getting themselves pregnant to get out of deployments. Didn't we used to punish cowards like this with a firing squad?? What happened to those days? History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower

  10. When I switched from Sprint to Verizon a year ago, I learned that my Verizon service comes with an online backup of my phone book. Optional selection of daily backups with user choice of 6 hour backup windows. Kinda cool. and No, I don't work for Verizon. Maybe other cell providers also have a service like this one.Quote I wish I had known about that 9 months ago when I lost my phone!!! It was one of those nights you don't want to remember, I woke up the next day to some girl I didn't know saying goodbye, spent half the day looking for my phone, and when I called my mom from a pay phone later that day she asked if I knew that someone that lives two cities away from me had answered my phone and said she found it near where she lives, and she lived somewhere that I hadn't gone anywhere near that night(I think). That's when I decided I needed to quit drinking. And then later that day, I got drunk again History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
  11. Hey everyone, I lost my cell phone right before I left for Iraq and now that I'm home I'm trying to dig up all my friends numbers. If everyone would be so kind as to PM me their number so I can put it in my phone, that would be super!! 13. Well, *picking on Dan *, he DOES have those chaps....Quote for the record I haven't pulled the chaps out in years and actually it was a pretty damned expensive hotel, trust me, I spent close to 2 grand this weekend. 14. Of all the complimentary things that can come with a hotel room, by far the coolest one I have ever seen was this weekend in chicago. My room came with a vibrator!! Unfortunately I didn't find it until we were getting ready to check out, it was sitting on the dresser with all the other stuff that came with the room, it came with lube and a couple condoms. It was just a little guy, but still, that's officially the coolest thing ever, I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it But I did get plenty of other pics to post of the super hot tour guide I had for the weekend so I guess it's a good trade. 15. ...and you are just now discovering that after how many years? Quote Well considering that 2am on Friday I made the decision out of nowhere to fly to chicago for the weekend and on the way to the airport decided to go to vegas for new years and buy 1000 dollar tickets to watch the fight it all just hit me.......I'm not right in the head, I mean, I've always known something was out of place up there but this was the final nail in the coffin!!! And Cora, I did look you up to let you know I was coming but Tyng and I decided to skip the DZ and stayed downtown all weekend. Sorry babe, I still luv ya though! I'm sure I'll catch you guys someday, I'll soon be residing near Eloy so the boogie season will be prime time for me to meet the rest of you I haven't run across in my travels yet, I'll get the pics up from my trip tomorrow, take care everyone. 19. I'm about to pay $2000 dollars for floor seats to watch Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva fight at UFC 79, I've officially gone crazy!!! But this is the holy grail of MMA fights, I couldn't turn it down, and while I'm down there I might as well stay in Vegas for new years Oh well, I've got two tickets, who wants to come?!?! 21. All well and good, but it has nothing whatever to do with Sanchez's criticisms of the administration's incompetence and poor planning. Quote And quite a few soldiers are spun up about those comments at the moment. If he knew things weren't being done right why not make those comments when he was in a position to make more of an impact? Sounds like someone was guarding their career and not their soldiers. 22. How the hell did I get dragged into this?!?! Here I am sitting in the middle of nowhere wondering why to this day the Army can't figure out that towards the end of a soldiers deployment you should find a way to get them home in a timely manner and my words are being used in someone elses argument. Come up with your own kick ass rants people, I do Man, looking through this post, everyone is so angry, I'm looking forward to getting home just so I can be angry about stuff too, THIS IS AWESOME. Well, there's a lonely, cold soldier out there somewhere, needing ammo for his weapon.Quote He can have mine, I'm going home next week You know all this talk of where everyone's taxes are going and how they help people has made me feel guilty, I haven't paid taxes all year. I feel that twinge of guilt in the pit of my stomach and..................oh wait, ok nevermind, it was just gas. 25. Surely a rebuttal from the right is in order. I wonder what rushmc is waiting for.Quote What has the potential to be a great discussion is being led to petty argument before it even gets going, wow. The writer of the article was right, the political leaders that have been making decisions in this war have made the situation FUBAR. I'm on the right and I will agree completely with that(sorry if I didn't take your bait). The leaders on the ground who give positive assessments aren't just doing so in order to keep their jobs and keep politicians happy. Some areas of this country have changed drastically for the good in the last year and a half(Anbar prov.), people just need to understand that contrary to popular belief combat zones aren't populated by unicorns that go around handing out rainbow smiles and gumdrops. It's combat, shit happens, you hang it out there and do what you can to ensure the victories outweigh the losses. As for this general saying there is nothing going on here but military action though, that's completely innacurate. Since the beginning of this endeavor we have been trying to get people from the highest levels of government all the way down to individual citizens to work with us, it has just been that up until recently they hoped that they could ignore the situation and it would go away. I've recently seen a handful of tribes start working with coalition forces to clean up their areas and the results have been amazing, we are pulling out of a lot of areas where our pressence used to be a necessity. People are fed select information by the media and make the assumption that what they have just seen is the whole story. I'm on the tail end of my third deployment over here so I've seen first hand how things have changed. Do we have a long ways to go? Absolutely, but we have also come very far in the yearssince we started this. History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
