No, but that's who I was thinking of when I wrote it. Thanks for the compliment.

Nope. I fight 'em off with a stick. Sex is more than a physical thing for me, and if I don't want the emotional connection that sex will bring, I ain't taking it out. Agreed! Thirded. It's gotta be organic. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

I am 26 of your earth years. Back home, I am 4.2 x 10^54 floobs old. If you don't know what a floob is, don't worry. Most people don't. However, I would strongly encourage you not to try to find out, as your undeveloped and primitive "brains" cannot handle the disgusting and sticky quantum equations required to explain it. Were I to successfully teach you of a floob, every cell in your body would simultaneously dissociate, leaving you as a puddle on the floor. Which I would quickly stake as my own claim and guard jealously. In case you haven't noticed, I am also a flaming dork. Check your gear religiously. It's far too easy to misroute a chest strap, among other things. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Re # 2 above: when in doubt, fall on your butt. Falling and laughing about it is much better than getting going fast and wiping out. not gonna touch that one. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Some crazy person almost ran me off the road today. I passed him, and he came up right next to me, rolled down the passenger side window, and started screaming at me. At first I thought he was yelling about my driving, but i guess he was actually mad about one of my bumper stickers. I gave him the finger a couple times, yelled "F off" and he left me alone when I turned. What a f'in nutball. People like that really scare me -- their priorities are ALL messed up. Drive, or yell? I think I'll yell. edit to remove name of political figure Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Wow, I guess they gave me that pimp number for a reason. That schedule doesn't leave much time for jumping... I want to see all those talks. MEN-pay attention. Women-you will understand perfectly

I was doing a freefly jump with a couple of buddies -- one on camera, the other headdown. I was in a sit, when the headdown guy decided to backfly under and pop up behind me. His toe caught my toe as he went by. We both were able to stay stable and continue the jump, but there was a serious discussion when we landed. He's quite a bit more experienced than me, so it was cool that he approached me to apologize and take responsibility. I'll try to make it. Can't guarantee it tho. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams -
#41 totally applies to me. What happens first always appears better and more original than what comes after. If you succeed a great man or have a famous parent, you will have to accomplish double their achievements to outshine them. Do not get lost in their shadow, or stuck in a past not of your own making: Establish your own name and identity by changing course. Slay the overbearing father, disparage his legacy, and gain power by shining in your own way. I'm gonna go become a professional skydiver. My Quest to Become a Skydiver...

Skydiving is an intense experience, and evokes a lot of hormones/brain chemicals. Plus when you jump with someone, you're pretty much trusting them not to do something that will kill you. Sharing that experience with someone is pretty intimate. When you get back on the ground, that intimacy can manifest itself as flirting, physical contact, and, yes, raw animal humping. As one of my skydiver buddies once told me, "Well, skydivers are a horny bunch." It just goes with the territory. Saying how you feel: maturity, or desperation?

Ditto. I was the situation once where I knew she was leaving -- out of my life, as it turned out, but still let her know how I felt about her. I would have really regretted holding that back, and dealing with the what-ifs. Goferit.
