This one is my favorite. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Implants are gross. Give me a natural woman with small breasts over a plastic barbie doll any day. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Isn't that a contradiction in terms? Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Above 144 and below 146? 100 is average. Above 160 is supposedly genius. It's all bull though, IQ is not an indicator of any use. Someone with a 200 IQ can become an alcoholic and die in the gutter, while a drooling sub-moron can become president. Did I say that? Shit, now this is going to get sent to SC. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Humans don't have the enzymes to break down cellulose, which is the main structural sugar in many plants. Cows and other herbivores do have cellulase, the enzyme to break down cellulose. Cellulose is the "fiber" we get from vegetables. edit: I'm dumb. I've seen it. "Yeah, like, I do all these extreme sports and I am so out there. Mountain biking, climbing, spear-dodging... I am sooo extreme." "Awesome, I love adventurous guys. I skydive and I'm on a 10-way speed team. My life is balls-to-the-wall." You forgot the part where the whuffo guy says he went skydiving once, and both his chutes failed, but he somehow survived. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

And if you're going to invest, invest early. If you start putting away the maximum to your IRA (3000 this year, up to 5000 in coming years) at age 25, you can retire a millionaire with a 10% return, which isn't hard to find with a good mutual fund. I pulled a stunt like this at the same age. My mom put me and my brother in the car, but had forgotten something and ran back into the house. I said, "I wanna drive!" My brother, always the smart one, told me I was being an idiot and got out of the car. I scrambled into the front seat and starting turning the wheel and moving that little shifty thing that mommy always uses. Well, that put the car into reverse, and since we were on a hill the 2 ton station wagon started rolling backwards. I don't remember the rest, but apparently I ended up across the street, having successfully backed the car into the neighbor's maple tree. Lucky it was there or I woulda gone through her house. Ahh, the times I had in that car. It was later dubbed the "pimpmobile" for it's spacious and comfortable back area. If you put down the back seats you had PLENTY of room.
