  1. SC has turned into a silly place. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  2. I did not mean that to be harsh at all. Probably should have put some smileys in there I guess. But I have noticed that those who like sushi are always bothered that I don't. And then they ask me what I tried and what I didn't like. Anyway, I had sushi made for me by my japanese roomate once. It was salmon. And it is not that I HATE it. I am just ambivelent. It just does not make me jump up and down and do a sushi dance like everyone I know. I felt the same way when I had carpaccio. I could have eaten more, but I would go to a restaurant and go "WOW! Carpaccio!!!" It should also be known that I am not a big fan of much seafood, raw or otherwise.
  3. What have you tried that you didn't like? I really have nothing against it. Just not my thing. But this is SC so..... Buuuut, what have you tried that made it not your thing? See what I'm getting at here? Simple. I don't like it. Raw fish does not taste that great to me. I really don't see the big deal about it at all. I mean, people really go batshit INSANE when someone suggests it and I have never understood that. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  5. Actually, only her father and brother. Her mother decided not to go after Easter Sunday. And yes, the exact moment is not a sure thing. Wendy W. My bad. I should have said family instead Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  6. No. What I said that it was becoming circular and so I was leaving OR maybe it was that it was time for me to go home? One of those is true. I leave it up to you to figure out which one. You keep forgetting that her parents WERE there right before. The only reason they got booted is because they started making a scene. They did not know she was going to die right then. Its their fault. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  7. No. You are all wrong for liking sushi. It is stupid and I think you all are out of your minds for liking it. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  8. Bill, there is no point. You cannot win no matter how logical you might sound. Pull it after trying things and the response is that he did not really fulfill her wishes by waiting so long. Pull it early on and then he is heartless for giving up so easily. There is no way to succeed here so lets just go have a beer.
  9. Did you really just blame our lack of freedoms on lack of religion? Of course. If we were all religious, we would not need laws against murder or theivery. It would just all work itself out. You say liberalism is the cause. Well, this "any excuse to stop people" idea is being perpetrated by both Democracts and Republicans (who both voted for things such as the PATRIOT act). So I guess that makes every one a liberal. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  10. Ahh, Tres Tres, without him, we might never have beer! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  11. I like steak. Lots of medium rare steak in my sushi. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

Yes. Cause rain HASN'T slowed down the building of the Tunnel there. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  13. Looks like you stepped into the wrong forum. Bonfire is WAY over that way...behind the bunnies and near the people talking about sex. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  14. People ask you guys to patch jumpsuits too? Geez, I never ask my rigger to do anything with my suits. I figured that was MY territory. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  15. OK so Tom is acting like an ass here. You know, as far as Delay goes, I'd hate this guy if he was a Democrat, which says something for my level of distaste for him. It looks like he's not above trying to use more blatantly unconstitutional federalism to drag the principals back over the coals again. I also like the way he described Judge Greer, a republican appointed, pro-life baptist, as an "activist judge", which is conservative speech for one of two things. 1. A liberal. 2. Someone who dares to disagree with me and insist on the constitutional separation of powers. I suspect he means the latter. I like the way it was put by The Daily Show: "Sure, republicans were once all for state rights, but that was before they controlled the Federal government." The more I look at it, both parties want more and more control of everything. They just want to control it in different ways. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  16. I used a Spectre for the last 15 of my student jumps. So did the rest of my fellow students. Why would it not be used for students? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  17. awww, that means the end of jumping day! I like: "Who wants to jump? Its fun. You jump. Out of a plane. Everyone is doing it." Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  18. i was wondering that myself... is a 'DNR' statement in effect committing suicide from a catholic point of view? after all modern medicine may be able to save you....? No, Catholics get to refuse extreme artificial measures. And here's the best part, the Pope decides what those are. He recently decreed that even a feeding tube may be withdrawn when all hope of recovery is gone. And he is a Vatican reply about Terry: Vatican Sharply Criticizes Schiavo’s Death The Vatican is denouncing what it calls the "arbitrarily hastened" death of Terri Schiavo as a violation of the principles of Christianity and civilization. Cardinal Renato Martino described the starvation and dehydration following the removal of the brain-damaged woman's feeding tube as a "death sentence executed through a cruel method." Martino said Pope John Paul II was informed of Schiavo's death. The cardinal likened the pope's frail health, including this week's insertion of a feeding tube, to Schiavo's case. Another leading Vatican official said of Schiavo's death, "An attack against life is an attack against God, who is the author of life." -------------------------------- Read that last line. I guess they forget that God is also the author of death as well. I remember when I went to church (I was Catholic), the priest always told us staying alive by machine was wrong when there was no chance of recovery. I guess they changed their minds. 19. The morning after pill is being reviewed by the FDA to see if it can be given over the counter. Here is one of the things the Onion "What do you think?" page said: "It says in the Bible that the morning-after pill is wrong. I believe the passage is Pharmaceuticals 3:16." That is good stuff. On a serious note, I hope this comes to fruition. I Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  22. Oooo, this should be fun. I hope this thread gets me through this long Friday. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  24. It is not the quick edits that I find so appealing about Jon Stewart. It is his commentary in between these bits. There is a certain logic in what he says many times. And to say that he could not do the job as well as say, Tucker Carlson? That is ridiculous. He could easily do that hack's job. I have seen Crossfire. Hell, he could even do O' Riley's job if he swung that way. It cannot be that hard to be a loud mouth know-it-all who has a "No spin unless it is my spin" Zone. My problem is that the majority of cable news shows ARE NOT held up to proper journalistic standard. Watch them. Instead of facts and new ideas, we get party driven diatribes and opinion. On cable news programs these days, there are far more political pundits than journalists. That includes the left AND right. The worst part is that many Americans do not know the difference. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
