  1. How about Sarah Brady buying a shotgun for her son as a birthday gift? How about Congresswoman Diane Feinstein, who said on "60 Minutes" that she would call for all gun-owning Americans to "turn them all in", and just happens to also carry a concealed handgun for her own protection? How about Rosie O'Donnell speaking for the Million Mom March to ban all guns, while hiring armed security guards to protect her and her children? Gosh, examples abound. And fine examples they are. Thanks for examples that have NOTHING to do with this guy. God, you and your "really-reaching" gun stories are hilarious. I wrote out this nice paragraph, but then I realized, what is the use? Just read everything I already said. Not a lobbyist, just and actor who is ACTING. You REALLY do not help the cause of gun advocacy at all with stories this trivial. You might be interested in knowing that communism is a form of economy, not a form of government. Comparing it to fascism is like comparing a car and a tree. But, both a car and a tree have doors. Or is that sunroofs? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  3. Cartman: My mom says if you want to become a lesbian, you have to lick carpet "Cartman, are you still trying to become a Lesbian?" "Yeah dude, my mom says all I have to do is chow on this box!" Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  4. Yeah my uncle said it was awesome. I have the video of him puking when they pulled the crazy shit. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  5. WHA?!?!?!? You mean Riveria was not actually at the Trojan War? Get the hell out of here. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  8. Actually, I'll be a bit more precise. Activist judges are judges who INTERPRET the Constitution in a manner that is inconsistent with with prior interpretation, either by overturning previous law or finding new protections where none wer found previously. Of course, the exact same type of activism was used (actually by the same substantive due process clause) to find rights of privacy, marriage, procreation and abortion, to name but a few. These decisions were similarly activist. Of course, to change these decisions back to the orginal thinking requires activism. Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia are great examples of anti-activist activists. Kinda like an anti-missile missile. So you have someone interpreting things different than someone else. Go figure. So wouldn't a constructionist take away the right to abortion AND the right to privacy? After all, if they were both done under the same type of activism, then a constructionist should remove both. And how is the court FINDING rights? Isn't basis of the constitution, particulary the 9th amendment such that other rights are already ours and that SCOTUS merely clarified them to those who opposed? mmm, I love a complicated issue. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  9. You are right....that is why I said there are SOME judges who try to change the law. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  10. I said it once and I will say it again (you is the general you): Activist judges are those who INTERPRET the Constitution in a manner you don't approve of while a good judge is one who interprets it in a way you favor. Are their judges who try to create law? Sure. But not NEARLY as many as the right would have to believe. Much of the "activism" is merely clarity of already granted rights. But please, let us refer to the thread that touch on this EXACT same subject and look at all the comments there. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

  13. *Buzzer sound* Please try again. Not every job is "filled" as you say. Many of the "unemployed" in the count fall into students (HS and College who quit after a summer is over, etc) and people not willing to accept the minimum wage jobs that are available. Nope. Unemployed are only counted as those who are ACTIVELY seeking a job (ie. they are going to interviews, answering ads, not just reading the paper). BLS puts people into three categories for unemployment stats: Employed # On vacation; # Ill; # Experiencing child-care problems; # Taking care of some other family or personal obligation; # On maternity or paternity leave; # Involved in an industrial dispute; or # Prevented from working by bad weather. Unemployed * Contacting: An employer directly or having a job interview; A public or private employment agency; Friends or relatives; A school or university employment center; * Sending out resumes or filling out applications; * Placing or answering advertisements; * Checking union or professional registers; or * Some other means of active job search. Neither (students, housewifes, etc) However, just because there is an unemployment rate does not mean ALL jobs are filled as ReBirth is trying to say. That would be absurd. There is always a job SOMEWHERE. It just means that those who are seeking jobs are not getting the one's they desire since to be considered unemployed you have to actually APPLY to a job or answer an ad. For instance, Joe HS Diploma goes to an interview for the managment position at a local restaurant with no experience. He still counts as part of the unemployment stat even though his qualification is quite lacking for the position. see the BLS website if you want: Unemployment Measurement Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. 14. Because those guys were good. But to say all blacks run well is racist. Look up the definiton. ReBirth, you were wrong. It is not practically the defintion to say one race does something better than another, it IS the defintion. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  15. UPS and FedEx are both known for paying fairly well, although they are not known to be in the warehouse business. I have lived in a few places where a typical warehouse job would start at about $8 an hour, and might top out at $10/hr. Thus, your milage may vary. Warehouse as in boxes come off a truck and are transfered. Usually they do not go from truck to truck but through a warehouse of sorts. UPS and FedEx and where I worked (Ingram Micro) all dealt with the same type of job...slinging boxes. And beside, 10 bux an hour is STILL better than McDonald's so we are quibbling. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  16. Well those people are not the ones in the minimum wage employment then are they? Raising minimum wage would not really help them would it? There has been a rare moment, no matter what the condition of the unemployment rate, where UPS or RPS was not advertising for at least part-time work where I am from. Box loading is a totally shit job and someone quit every day I was there. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  17. Your mileage may vary. How so? UPS pretty much pays the same rate anywhere. Or FedEx or whatever. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  18. maybe you should have read my first paragraph? I did. You said that's pushing it. But I guess now that you wre refering to my vegan example. oops. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  19. Amazing the shit some chicks will do to get more jello shots! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  20. One more time. In an ideal world, great. But it's not an idea world. So, they starve? You really can get a better job than miminum wage. I had one all the way through college. Its called warehouse worker. At least 12 bux and hour. I have no sympathy for the guy with kids trying to eek it out at McDonalds on minimum wage who bitches. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  21. I saw that happen in person. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  22. Personally I don't think you have the required intellect to understand it., oh well... . You know, your point would probably come across much better if you didn't slam everyone everytime you typed something. But maybe that is just my point of view. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
  23. I find those who say they need to lose 5-10 pounds rarely need to lost any.
  24. You honestly think simply saying, "I don't like guns" is pushing an agenda? Has he done some campaigning I don't know about? Or lobbying? Or written letters? Chances are, a reporter asked him a question about the guns and being Bond and he answered truthfully. Later in the same article, he discussed how he does not enjoy a martini like Bond does. I guess he is pushing a "martini agenda" too. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
