Well, stop comparing him to the president. EVERYONE is lower level compared to him. This vice president is probably one of the most powerful in years. The guy was a MAJOR player in planning the war. All I assume is the fact that you did not respond his question. And if you would bother to read thiswhole thread, you would know my opinion on perjury by clinton or by libby. Is there a disparity between left reaction to clinton and libby? Yes. But is there disparity between right reaction to the same issues? It may be a community but I know plenty of people who come for the day, hang out with friends, laugh, talk, and enjoy other people's company and then go home at night after jumping is over. I m on both Friendster and mySpace, but I rarely surf people on Friendster. The interface on mySpace is just better and faster. Friendster has better search capabilities but it just not as cool. No there is no real debate on how SC judges are chosen outside of law professors and the like. The reason they are given lifetime appointments is so that no matter which party is in power, they can not be ousted. Therby, the theory is that they will not be influenced by the current political landscape. If every president got a chance to appoint a judge, the "above partisan bickering" would completely fall flat because at least one judge would have to go to make room for the new one. Does this theory always work in reality? No, but it does not do too badly in my opinion.
