Any advice? I know almost nothing about cars but want to go out and look around today. I'll take any car I consider purchasing to a mechanics first to get inspected. But I don't want to waste a bunch paying for inspections.. what are some things that I can look for? I downloaded a check list off of the better business bureau website, but I don't even know how to check some of those things.. doh. Does flashing cash at people really help lower the price? 4? Geez.. my school actually has rules against that happening. The maximum amount that you can have at the UW is 2. If you find out that you have 3 + it is your responsibility to contact the professor and they must make alternate arrangments with you. 'Course, you have to do that early in the quarter. I just completed finals. One more quarter left for undergrad! Woo! I can totally feel your pain, being torn between good skydiving weather and the need to study. I actually moved from Northern California to Seattle specifically because of the rainy weather that happens to coincide with the school year. I dropped out of school once due to skydiving, I didn't want it to happen a second time. Weird reason to move.. but it has worked. I would trust the self checks that the AAD does when you turn it on. Besides that though.. most people choose to sell their AADs when they are due (or a bit over-due) for a check-up (4 or 8 year) so you could just pick one of those up, send it in for a service and not have any worries about the integrity of the device.
