    I don't doubt there are so called "friends" who sabotage relationships, but a stable relationship isn't going to be destroyed as easily as what you described. And the "friends" that do that are usually way more subtle than setting up a friend's SO with another guy.

    It really doesn't matter what kind of "pressure" was applied or the reasons behind it. The person who accepted the blind date with the friend of the acquaintance is the one who blew the relationship she (or he) was in. Then again, now you're making it sound like all she did was go to a party, in which case something may have gotten totally blown out of proportion and SHE's the one who is better off without the jealous control freak. Its kind of hard to tell from your post, you know?

    Your story made me dizzy but........ If the girl was that quick to go out on a date with some other guy (even if it was a "non-date") then she and your friend probably didn't have much going on to begin with. Blame the instigator all you want but SHE took the bait. He's better off and maybe he ought to thank domino number 1.

    That's so sweet! You've made me feel guilty about all the junk food I ate all weekend! I'm back on track starting today! Legs tonight with my young trainer! UGH! (but in a good way!) You are also looking good! I hope you're feeling better too!

    Well, I had a good workout Thursday night but since then I've been over indulging in bad for you foods. I'll get back on track tomorrow with the trainer- I just HOPE he forgets to weigh me because he won't be happy if he does!

    They wouldn't take my blood for a while, after Operation Desert Storm (gulf war illness). But they will take it now. Well, I wasn't really talking about an exotic location. Just resort/ tourist areas along the Pacific Coast of Mexico. For a long time, they'd ask the question, look at a map, verify I wasn't roughing in the jungle, mark "Cancun" on their form and proceed.

    When I donated in college, the local Red Cross would call when they needed my blood type, pick me up at my dorm, feed me a sandwich and take me home when I was done. They didn't want to trust my blood with the volunteers at the school blood drives! One day they told me my blood was going to a preemie and that made me feel really good!

    I used to donate regularly- whole blood and platelets as needed. Because I've got AB- blood and a high platelet count, I tended to get the VIP treatment when I donated! But a few years back, Lifesource started objecting to my favorite vacation spots in Mexico and deferred me. Its been at least 2 years since I've been any place fun, so they might like me again!

    No workouts over the weekend (heading to the gym in a few for cardio, legs and abs.....) but I did a lot of yardwork on Saturday and I'm still sore from that!

    Great with the workouts, but not so good with my eating habits lately for some reason. I really need to get back on track- my goal is to drop 10 pounds by July 4th and the regular workouts can only do so much. But the workouts, classes, personal trainer sessions- all going very well and even having family in town last weekend did not completely derail my schedule! I just love feeling stronger and building endurance.

    That's really sad. I weigh 30 pounds more now than I did when I was 18 and "thin" but I'm also 2 sizes smaller. I can honestly say I'm in the best shape of my entire adult life, and getting better everyday but a BMI rating would have me close to obese. I like the idea behind this, but I wish they'd make the effort to do it "right"!

    They've done 3 or 4 seasons of this already- usually a reject from a previous Bachelor season. They've also done "Average Joe" and "Average Jane" where "regular" people compete toe to toe against the "beautiful" folks that typically appear on these shows. Go figure- reality dating show contestents are shallow and never pick the "average" Joe or Jane. Anyway, I think that's why shows like Rock of Love are so popular. Those chicks really do stuff like mud wrestling and drinking contests!

    I'm boycotting because they are using the BMI chart as an indication of fitness which is really just a glorified height and weight chart. If they want to update this for adults, they should do it with more valid fitness indicators.

    Right- because animals and small children are EXACTLY the same as consenting adults!

    They definitely do- anywhere from 2 to 5 years is my understanding. After Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson were able to get out of theirs, they made the contracts even more airtight. The AI machine has first refusal on any recording contract with any label, plus a percentage of the profits. Some former finalists claim AI had them effectively blacklisted from the major record labels. How much of that is true and how much is just sour grapes is anyone's guess.

    I used to hate brie until the woman at my local wine store turned me on to a triple cream brie- the brand is St. Andre. That stuff is sooooo good- tastes like a cross between butter and cream!

    I can make a meal of triple cream brie, boursin, pate, fresh french bread, butter and wine. YUM! Not for every day, of course!

    He has ALWAYS looked feminine but at least he doesn't apologize for who he is or try to be anything different. (And like Ricky Martin, he tries really hard to dodge the whole sexual orientation question gracefully.) I'm not a fan of the kind of pop music he does, but he has a great voice for it.

    Even if it is from muscles, I don't want a guy with more cleavage than me! The main difference between manboobs from fat and man boobs from muscle is that some of the fat guys could use a bra (or a BRO!)
