Cancun wouldn't be my first choice for a Mexican vacation, but the price he's getting is pretty hard to beat. There is a lot to do and see in the area!

I don't know about Sept. 11, but its definitely the off season, and there are lots of deals during the off season. Expect some rain, but probably not all day every day, (but hot and humid every day for sure)!

If I'm not mistaken, you can take ferries to places like Cozumel and Isla Mujeres. If the price is right, just go for it. I'm sure it won't suck! I've only been to the Pacific side but I hear the beaches on the Carribean side are beautiful- white sand and clear blue water.

You used to be able to get a C license at 100 jumps. I *think* that's changed now. But I went through static line jumpmaster training when I had a B license and about 70 jumps thinking getting those 30 jumps wouldn't be a problem. (It was my first springtime in Chicago as a licensed skydiver- I was wrong!) I learned a lot but never followed through and got my rating. It was too much for me at that experience level. I was a nervous wreck with my "pretend" students in the plane, and they didn't even mess with me!

You need a C license and 100 jumps if I recall correctly.

I hope you don't seriously believe a size 10 is big! Marilyn Monroe was a healthy size 14 if I recall correctly! Its not about the numbers, its about proportion!

Its entirely possible there is more to the story than what was reported. Still, at a G rated family movie (matinee, right?) I'd expect disruptions.

Oh thanks, sweetie, but I *think* only the very first part of the post was directed at me. The part you're quoting was meant for someone who had the time and money to make 1300 jumps in two years! Lucky girl that she is!

Exactly how many jumps per year do you have to make in order to qualify as a "real" skydiver? Just curious since you seem to be an authority. Or were you just trolling too?

Hot sand doesn't feel so good, though! I got those water shoes to wear for my beach jumps. Not a problem if they got wet since that's what they were made for!
