    Geeze make a comment and Bam Transitions are bad I guess Jason said it better, I like a quick change, not an abrupt or sharp change... The abrupt change is good when after doing nice stuff in the plane with a tandem then to get the pop of the altitude no transition a shot of the ground looking out the door right before climb out..     I liked them as well. Some of the scene changes might have been better with transitions to smooth them out but nice job.     Yeah the question comes up yet again. I am looking at setting one up for faster dubs compared to using a computer and non-linear system. Looking here there are a number of set ups. I have been looking and reading reviews and gleening from suggestions on here. I have been comming back to a Datavideo SE-200 pro as it has the titler integrated into it... Any comments on this. Going to a Digital version is apealing for the firewire but the pricing is way higher then I am looking to spend and this seems to be a nice simple set up.... I think I saw one person that mentioned/posted this in a post last year but that is really it. Am I missing something that would preclude this fro beig a good basic linear set up unit??     Has anybody tried or have any info on this guy? Looks like it can be a stand alone direct from camcorder so I am guessing able to be used on a linear system. Also looks like with the USB it can be a external burner for Non-linear set ups but added functionality with the direct burn capability..     I will have to play with it later I am guessing. I am using Studio with good results and a pretty fast computer. the edits are quick but the rendering is the time killer. If I can get that reduced I could do more on site stuff a lot easier! Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    I have been downloading from my HC40 in a .avi format. I was told that by going with a download in a mpeg fprmat you can do all the editing just the same but when you "make" the movie the rendering time is WAY LESS and is basically almost ready to burn? To figure it out (I just did it in my head and was at $5150) go to a gear dealer page that is showing the discounts and add the components up.     Most i have seen do it 100 500 then 1000 increments. The avatr pic is for my 3000 a few weeks back. The real interesting queston might be the content of the pie. This was a mix of apple pie, cream pies and one other i think some chocolate thing?? Mind you they were all on separate plates from different peoiple. Not just the old redi whip pie.     WOW, painfull honesty from Eric!! I have to agree though (I have not jumped there that often recently) but when the otter gets going I will try to get out more often!     I spoke with Mike, the DZO, last week and it is a Twin Otter. Need to get its annual and it should be based there for the rest of the summer and possibly longer it sounded like! Great news for the litle DZ that could after going on one 182 for the last few yers! I hope it all works out well for them and the local jumpers that will not have a wait for a load issue any more, at least I would imagine that will be the case! Scott C.
