Listen to the "Boogie Whore" Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
-
Did I say recently I hate you? Scott C Nice pic other then the fact that you look like you are thinking too much "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
-
I think you were too aloof .. Hell I was not even there and I heard about the cloud chase that lead to "off" landings by, as I think I heard, the followers ... Lead a horse to water but smack him in the head to get him to think to drink...... Scott C. PS I will maybe get a few jumps in this weekend probably solo if I go WS. so I am completely jealous about the thought of those of you, specifically the "boogie whore" jumping in flocks "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
-
Got hit on a WS jump.. Bleed a lot and somebody said I should use it as my avatar so BOOM there it is. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

Monkey, you are a boogie whore.... I am still trying to get a few days at the holiday boogie. Would like to go this weekend but not going to happen. Have some great flights! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

I thought he promised that with the Dye Sub process and all it took was a Credit Card Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

The "door" was opened on the cut away issue and people are stepping through by letting you know what they think. You have made your opinion pretty clear that you dont think it is needed on your design. Basically you like your system and it is what it is! That is great but I dont think your going to convince someone who is pro cut cables to look at your break away system as the best solution. I jump another product and have no issues getting at the cut away's for the wings. I dont have to lift knees but that is neither here nor there. I LIKE the idea of having the cables, and no matter if you say it is not needed with your system it gives me the warm fuzzy feeling so I like the option if needed. Also it seems to be a curving pull out and up to pull them. Pulling straight up does not make sense. I am not against your design so dont think I am attacking it as it flys good from what I have seen it do in the air next to me. I got a good close look at a suit last weekend and the workmanship is great and the suit is beefy but damn the wings are big! I was thinkig about jumping it but it just did not work out time wise this time. I do want to try it out to see how it compares. With everything I think the performance is going to be vastly improved with a better pilot and that is just a fact of any suit. It is funny that people are expressing their thoughts and your basic response is seen in #3 above. Things can always be improved and you seem more then willing to play and adjust suits on the fly with the # of tweaks that seem to be always happening on the SM series. Scott C. you might want to pony up a bit more and accurate info.... I would look under the riser covers and get the Dolphin size, harness size and DOM. The packing card should have some info on the reserve including the make, size and DOM. It might also have some info on the Cypress as wqell. Are you the first owner, if not how many jumps have you put on on the estimated 400 jumps. Age of cypress will make a big difference in overall price as well as the main i.e. if it is an all F111 canopy or if it is something different. Could be worth 1000 could be worth 1500 but cant say wioth out more info on the components. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

WestCoast Wingsuits Weekend Oct 12th-14th 2007
sdctlc replied to bodypilot1's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I hope the "wrap" was worth it.. You just dont care about us any more since you bagged on 2 events now. At least Ira showed up to give some SoCal representation... Good flying was seen so was it worth it to jump through hoops like a trained animal while trying to get noticed and move up from the "D-List" Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" -
From the amount of tweaking that you do and posting of changes and updates on the forums, it seems that every new suit made is a "New" variation on the SM1 "series", Maybe this is the SM1"s" or is it up to the SM1"t" version Gotta love Production R&D Scott C. No BASE pocket on mine so I have no input on that front but can say I love flying it. There were a bunch of them flying at the WestCoast Wingsuit weekend boogie last weekend. UncleCharlie was there and had a few Ghosts for people to try. Those that did liked them. If you look at the pictures "UC" posted you can see lots of Ghosts over Lodi. Just a really nice suit!! Skydiving Airplanes and Pilots Operating Away From The DZ
sdctlc replied to tombuch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It was not a Demo but a Boogie at Star Idaho over the weekend. The Star dropzone had contracted the plane owned by Kapowsin Airsports and the flight was returning from the Boogie. The skydivers on board, as I understand it, were hitching a ride to and from. I dont know the details of this ride over but I have made that trip in the past, riding the airplane over and back so it was not uncommon to have people catching the plane. Scott C. I felt the same thing when going from the Phantom to the Ghost. Now I dont even notice it after a good number of flights on the Ghost! Not plug and Play is the thought that comes to mind.. I think the "airlocks" are designed to work when belly flying to not let air out of the back inlets. So not a airlock in the sense of trying to keep air in the wings. About the tail flutter, I do get it in dirty flight. I had not noticed it much on smaller flocks but as the requirement for dirty flying got bigger I do see it happening. No issue but more an annoyance in flight as it is not hurting my flying just making me not look as pretty in the air Once I kick it out the flutter is gone as it is gone on faster forward flocks. I agree the range is huge in this suit and it really fits the described goal it was built for, High Performance Suit with great Flocking Range. Also I agree that the pull needs to fall into the "Big Wing" mentality with a dileberate pull motion to avoid the wing. I have a bunch of flight on my Ghost and I will get lazy in the pull and be reminded I need to do it right, minor adjustment and finish pull sequence so no big deal. Scott C. birthday gift/ good place to skydive in Wa?
sdctlc replied to Diving24's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Not meaning to Hijack but why the move to Ritzville? I know if it is a straight shot on the highway but if I am remembering that area correctly, it is further away from Spokane then Davenport?? Hope all is going good! To the poster that was asking. Search dz.com dropzones for washington: http://www.dropzone.com/dropzone/North_America/United_States/Washington/index.html Scott C. [announcer Howard Cossell voice] That ladies and gentelmen, that was the sound of the Gauntlet glove getting tossed squarley down on the ground at Tony's feet... The brash young italian is really stepping up to the plate on this. I have not seen this level of nerve in years, what a performance [/announcer Howard Cossell voice] "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

2 new suits in a week! That does not suck. Going from a firebird to the SM1 and the V2 in the same week is a pretty good jump up the performance ladder. Dont worry about the times as suits are not plug and play by any means. Nice looking suit, evey time I see that SM!, I think DAMN that is a lotta wing... Scott C. Jump #29 reserve ride - maybe this isn't for me...
sdctlc replied to hackish's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The majority of people that I have talked to about a reserve ride early in the their skydiving life feel empowered about the event. It seems to release the fear about the reserve and if it will work. Like giving a sense of added belief in the system. You seem to have the opposite based on some bad experiences that you delt with. From your descriptions you did everyting correctly. Skydiving is not for every one, never has been and never will and I have never thought it was. That said the positive is that you did evey thing correctly when you saw a problem and delt with it. Continuing with jumping is something that only you can decide on and I will not give you a line to the opposite. If you walk away great but do it knowing that you did what you were trained to do and did it correctly. Look back on the experience and smile. If you continue to jump, be assured you will probably run into a problem and see a reserve again. I have landed a reserve 5 times though 3 of mine were Tandems. I know people with less jumps and more rides. I also know people with more jumps and less rides, That is the way it goes. I accept the risk and the rewardI get and dont have any plans of quiting my jumping. The ability to take ownership of your equiptment and pack for your self should help but stuff happens. You obviously can deal with a situation but if your not willing to accept the risk reward quotent do what you have to do! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" -
I seem to remember a video of your opening with some nasty line twists with that XF2 but you got out of it OK. Seeing it live off on your left while shaking my head thinking: [Howard Cossell voice]look at that little monkey kick, kick little monkey kick"[/Howard Cossell voice] What could possibly go wrong?? I was nice and waited till you were out of the twists before comming over and flying by you... An extra reserve pack here and there, just keeps you on your toes! Hell, could be next summers research study, "Effectes of Increased Stress on Body During Opening Phase of Nylon Deceleratin Device Wearing Movement Restricting WingSuit Straight Jacket" Think of the money that would be needed to get the testing equipment hooked up to you for the jump! It could be like wearing a belly mount reserve for the gadgets you would get, not-cheap I am guessing. Who cares how it affects the WS performance, this is for Science damnit!!! Scott C. I just got a set of risers fro him and the response was fast and shipped ASAP! I went through one of the ads in teh dz.com classfieds for contacting him.. Good luck! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

sdctlc replied to mccordia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
That animation is really cool with the shadowing. Now in the next generation if you could get the camber of the wings to change when the ani-flyer is doing a barrel roll and or back flying that would be a nice touch, it is just so unrealistic now Looks like it will be a great time!
