  1. You realize there is no bad and good, only life. I try to realize that when things seem "bad", it just takes a bit more to see the "good". Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  2. I was told by a very experienced factory test pilot to use big rubberbands and double wrap them all. I have over 1000 jumps this way and have never personally seen a problem. I have also packed over 15000 rigs this way and have not seen a problem. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  3. Yes, as far as I know the quotes custom delivery times should be a bit quicker than that. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  4. Check out www.parabatix.org They have a list of dealers there. Para-concepts and Paragear have them already, as does Skydive San Diego. More are going to be added all the time. It's a pretty sick video. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  5. Who quoted you the 3 month time? Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  6. All the ones people dont realize they do 3 and 4 times each pack job. 3 minutes is probably under stress. An average pack job for me would probably be 5 with no sweat. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  7. check out all the others too! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  8. I heard Melonie likes to get down! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  9. You drink Zima, you Nancy! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  10. There is no easy way to explain it, but its the ranch. Apparently we dont do things the easy way around here. But somehow it seems to work for us. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  11. He Goran, its John. I dont know how well you know Joe, but nothing he says is ever meant as an insult. And he is not actually the DZO, Billy is. Joe owns the school. I have never seen Joe try to be nasty with someone. He's funny and will try to push buttons, but is a genuinly nice guy. I am suprised you even asked him about this. I would love to see you bring your dogs back to the ranch just like everyone else does. As you should well know as many signs as they want to make, there are no rules at the ranch. If you wanted to put in the time to keep your dogs out of peoples sight, you could have done just that. At any given time I can find 3 or 4 dogs on our do dog dz. There were 3 dogs under the great hall during our club meeting last fall. Its never inforced until a dog pisses on someones canopy. And even then its handled in house. Just ask Dennis. Anyway Joe isnt nasty, he's funny. It was probably just the plate shifting in his head. If you could see it from this side you would see that. Hope to see you back. 12. About 40 minutes when I was where you were at, about 3 minutes now. But i get a lot of practice!! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  13. Well im not 18, Im 26, but I choose MAC. I would recommend anyone else to get a MAC also. They see the things I have been able to do with my MAC, knowing full well I am the farthest thing from a computer person, and they want that for themselves. Even if there were no PC emulators, let alone bootable systems, It would be a no brainer for me. I will never own a windows machine again. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" 14. I don't know what happend back in the day to you, dude, but I love my Mac and OSX. I never used a pc for anything except internet and email. And even then the machines slowly ground to a hault. It was way too frustrating to do anything with. When I got my powerbook I found out what a computer was for. I know found a great hobby (video editing) and run a good chunk of my life with the help of my powerbook. It has actually done what people always said a computer should do. Did Steve Jobs rape your mother or something? I dont get why you think they suck so much. OSX works like it should. I feel sick whenever go near a windows machine now. Yes they have less software. But the software they do have actually works. Im sure I am biased too, but I dont see how you got this sand in your vagina. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  15. dammit dave you dont count. You stink like jersey! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  16. Well its cool that someone at least tried to be civil here. God knows that person couldn't be from the Ranch, though! Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  17. Its called skydiving. Enjoy it. People pump a lot of shit into their veins to lose a couple seconds of their lives. But yes, it goes away pretty soon. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  18. Well the school here at The Ranch just bought 15 of 'em, so ask me again in a few months. They have had Telesis for the past 6 years. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  19. Go to both and see what you like. Personally I would never pick Xkeys over The Ranch. Some people on here are the exact opposite. Two different DZs. Both have turbines. Both you can jump as much as you want. Lets see who pisses further. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  20. The Omni is made by Icarus Canopies. The Omega is also made by Icarus. Both are still available. The Omega is very comparable to the Spectre. The Omni is a bit more "sporty" with quicker turns and a stronger flare. There were enough differences to keep both on. You can check out both at www.IcarusCanopies.aero Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  21. As posted on here, Icarus makes a standard size 159 Safire2 as well as any size you want. Check out there stock list on their page www.Icaruscanopies.aero Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  22. If you are going to pull your reserve, you should pull the lead seal off first. I have pulled as many as 6 seals out of the backpad of rigs the first time I repacked them. I dont know if it coould do any damage but its just plain sloppy. And always try to time the pull with an unaware passerby in the way. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
  23. The PC could have been pulled out and tested. I have seen it done. Keep the door closed and I dont think you would have a problem. And I dont think an expert cypres would fire in a normal decent in a jump plane. Like you said, I dont think a pilot is going to have 78mph downward speed at 750 feet.
