Do you know, i mean do you KNOW for a fact, that this is a true statement? In either event, A.D.'s suggestion is a better solution. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

May i suggest that if you know something that's being reported that isn't true, why would you come into these forums to whine about it? My suggestion to you would be to contact the entity that is airing the show with any new facts that you may have that makes their reporting inaccurate. Ultimately, it would be their responseability to correct any false statements, facts, etc... May i take the liberty to suggest that you seek medical treatment? If you get this wound up about an issue like this, i'd hate to see you react under REAL pressure. Lighten up bro. Everythings cool, for real.

This probably would have never been brought to light had you not posted about it. Who struck what again now? Has anyone here taken the time to even have a personal conversation with Shayna? Maybe you should. I can't understand how this raises such a row when in the last 24 hours i've seen another Sky Diver on T.V. who's PC was pulled out of his BOC when he got into the door for exit causing a head/tail strike causing massive head trauma, about a 15 minute long clip. I also saw the infamous bungee jump with the two sky clowns bailing out of an otter with a bungee cord tied to each other. They exited with a videographer in trail, and how the jump went way wrong for the bottom jumper. (Damned near killed the bottom jumper) That's about a dozen times i've seen that footage. Notice, i mentioned no names. If you feel compelled, or obligated to post about such incidents, why don't you it a try? Not mentioning names that is.

Don't laugh, just listen. Get a pair of Road Biker's shorts. Yeah, you know the kind Lance Armstrong wears, they have gelled crotches in them. Member, i said "Don't Laugh" All B.S. aside, they work. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Neptune, a subsidery of Venus Companies have been marketing just such a "transitional" camera. I can't afford one right now, but i'm saving my pennies! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

You don't mention your age, that has a lot to do with obtaining credit. Checking your credit, or having your credit run too many times can also hurt your credit rating. I would say, if it's a bank you've done business with for a long time, then yeah go for it. Make sure you get a "fixed" rate. On the other hand if it's some fly by night financing agency, don't do it. A lot of times, more often than not after you make a big purchase, next thing you know credit companies are coming out of the wood work offering you credit. Avoid it like the plague! Good Luck, Take Care. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Should the US Release Oil from the Strategic Reserve?
rwieder replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Bush the 1st was the first president to tap into the SOR in the 91 gulf war. Then never replaced what he took. Then along comes "Slick Willy" he gets into the SOR as well. Bush the 2nd, is no better. If he were in fact replacing stock in the SOR, why is the price still rising? F.E.A.R. is why. Don't let them blow smoke up your ass, ain't nobody replacing no stock in the SOR. By the way, did ya'll know that the USSR is now the world's largest oil producer in the world today? They passed up Saudi-Arabia day before yesterday. Saudi isn't so keen to get off of any oil or NG just now, because of the civil unrest in their part of the world right now. It's all good though, i've wanted to be energy independendt for years. Now's the time. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
She's pretty! Congrats. Now watch out for the mofo's who don't have perifiel vision. Which is 68% of all drivers in 4 wheelers, and especially jacked up 4 wheelers, 4 X 4's. Be Careful. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

I can't believe this conversation. Yeah, clouds do make spotting impossible, industrial haze, as it were. What did you learn in FJC? What does it say in the FARS? -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Ah, Hell, nevermind. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Don't need to. It wasn't stock. It had a 727 Torqueflight in it to begin with. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

You'd better do some research. You ever driven one of these cars? Where were you when Jr. Johnson was outrunning Lee & Richard Petty with his Chevrolets? Take a look at the 2008 Challenger. 100% pure American muscle car. And the greatest American Sports Car Icon in Automotive history is the 1971 Hemi-Cuda and/or Challenger.*** Really? Too bad they didn't keep producing them then, isn't it? Because if they were so popular, and selling like hot dogs, they would have never stopped making them, now would they have? I really hate things aren't going your way. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Not slamming MoPar at all. But if MoPar is going to outrun GM, Ford, Toyota or any other manufacturer, they best get after it. They can't even win a NasCar event, and haven't for a long, long time. I hate to say it, but Toyota seems to have the edge right now. Although the cars i speak of are in regards to NasCar, that's where the engineers get their ideas, and test their theories. Today, at this time, and moment $ for $ lb for lb, the Corvette has an advantage from hell. My wife's boss had a 2001 Dodge Viper, 12 cylinder, god knows how much HP, I ran him with my 2001 LS-1 350 CID X 350 HP, 385 lbs of torque and tore his ass up 3 races in a row. The Viper just didn't have the low RPM power it needed, plus it is too heavy. You may be right about MoPar, and i hope you are, i like MoPars, but right now, it just ain't happening. One more thing, no matter which year Vette you drive (If you drive one at all) EVERYBODY knows what it is. It is the greatest American Sports Car Icon in Automotive history. I attached a pic of the "Last C-3" Collector's Edition Corvette. I bought this car from an older couple in San Jose, California. They had it advertised as having 22,000 miles on it, i didn't believe them, so i flew out there, looked at the car. I wrote them a check, and had the car transported to my shop. It was the first year for the pop up rear hatch glass (Collector's Edtion only, 6,759 made, there was no Vette made in 1983) and the reintroduction of fuel injection. This car doesn't get driven, it is a "Garage Queen." -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

The Corvette Z-06 is the fastest American Car on the road today, bar none. You'd never see anything but the Bow Tie getting smaller, and smaller as it drove straight away from you. I owned a 68 Road Runner way back when, it had a 440 magnum, with a Muncie 4 speed Rock Crusher in it, it was fast, but not "SCARY FAST" The Z-06 is "SCARY FAST" No white nuckles handling it either, it has HUD and a handling system to be envied by any American Automobile Manufacturer. The way your car was burning the tires down and traveling in a straight line told me right then and there, the torque doesn't even come close to the Z-06. You've got a nice car, but your way out of your league. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

The 7.0 Litre 427 CID 505 HP Power Plant. Top Speed so far: 202 MPH at TMS. It will break traction "At Will" If the traction control is switched to "Competitive Mode" In September of this year, Chevrolet will release the all new ZR-1 7.7 Litre, 620 HP Corvette. The first one has already sold at Barret-Jackson in Scottsdale Arizona, the bidding opened at $900,000.00 it sold for a cool Million. Jay Leno also bought one, he wouldn't disclose the price, but when asked why he bought that car when he could afford any exotic in the world, he said "Why should i buy a foreign car, when i can buy 15 of these for one of those?" The asking price for these new ZR-1's is supposed to be $150,000.00. As opposed to $75,000.00-$80,000.00 for the Z-06. GM is planning on making 25 ZR-1's a year for the next 4 years, they are already sold. Next design Vette is supposed to be Mid-Engined, i can't wait for that one. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Out with the old, in with the new. I traded my 05 Coupe, Triple Black w/ 2,500 miles, for a Triple Black 08 Z-06 505 HP, 427 CID, 7.0 Litre. Scary fast! I will have to post the rest of the pics in another post. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Mike: Go to Control Panel. Select The Add/Remove Prograns icon. Select the programs you wish to delete, and fire away. Each program removal may and/or require a restart. If it does, repeat the process until everything you want deleted disappears. Follow up with a scan disk, then a defrag. I hop this helps. Good Luck in your endeavours. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Because the U.S. Government believes if everyone is not living in a democratic society, then we should take it upon ourselves to convert them. We've become the very thing we fought so hard against in the 50's & 60's. Communism, socialism, dictatorship. At the present time we are fighting an illegal war in iraq. Why is it illegal? The Pres. did not have Congressional approval, the US did not have UN concensus to go to war. The very reason the UN was formed (Yesterday, 50 Years ago) was to keep any country from declaring war on another country without consultation with every country who is a member of the UN. We destroyed Iraq's government by removing Sadaam, (Yeah, Yeah i know he was a mean hombre, but we gave him every weapon he ever had, so he would help us control Iran at the time) we are now trying our best to impose democracy in that country. Sound familiar? It should, it's the same thing The USSR was trying to do years ago. There are many things going on in a lot of countries we don't even know about. We are still occupying many countries that do not want our presence there. We've been asked to leave these countries many times, we refuse to do so. When Sadaam gassed the Kurds, he killed approx 10,000 people. Hitler was personally responseable for killing 6 million Jews, and 7 million Russians. Kind of puts the 10,000 Kurds in perspective, doesn't it? If Japan came over here and invaded our country, killed our President for genecide, or what ever, wouldn't you hate them, or at least hate what they were doing? That's why 3rd world countries hate us. I've been there, the way the people look at you just cuts you to the soul, it hurts. I don't watch anything on U-Tube, the only reason i'm aware of it is because of my kids, and my grandchildren. Don't even watch that "Propaganda" it's just a means to a way of stirring up further hate, and discontent. Don't let other's cause you to be a participant to the overall problem. Having said all of that, regardless of why we are doing what we are doing, i support our troops, i commend them for what they're doing. My sons have served in Iraq, the oldest doing 3 tours. I'm very proud of all of the U.S. Women & Men serving their country, regardless of whether they believe in what we're doing, that takes guts. God bless our troops. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

How to make it back from a spot???? please
rwieder replied to CKSCUBA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
If there is any doubt that you cannot make it back to the DZ, go to you alternative landing area. One where you can see the grass blowing, or a pond has waves anywhere as long as you can determine a downnwind landing direction. Don't risk being hurt. There's no need in it. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
A feedback system, similar to E-Bay. You'd know in advance whether the seller/buyer was legit or not. I've bought a ton of stuff of of the classifieds here, never been burned. But then again, i've never bought anything from accros the pond, and i wouldn't advise that anyone else do it either. Never spend more than you can stand to lose, if you do use a CC with fraud protection, or PayPal with insurance that covers your purchase. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Need advice on video and camera gear
rwieder replied to NexGenSkydiver's topic in Photography and Video
Not in the gulf coast area of Texas he's not. Agreed. I have been a Shutter Bug all of my life. The equipment i've got figured out. Therein lies my concern. Everybody wants to be the best that they can, but instruction is vital to the safety aspect. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
