I think if people don't actually see footage of his death there will always be a doubt. We dont want eye witness accounts, we want to see him swing until he takes his last breath. Life is sick and brutal sometimes and he certainly wasn't any exception to this. We all want to know, for sure, that he is dead. That means seeing it.

Yep, you'd need to know for any insurance purposes so why not for legal issues? Its because people used to deny who was driving and get away with it, well, those tossers are shit out of luck now unfortunately as 9 times out of 10 the owner will cough up rather than take the points themselves.

In the UK we issue fines to the registered keeper of the vehicle. If they can't prove someone else was driving, which would be required by law to comply with S170 of the Road Traffic Act the legal responsibilty falls to the owner. This is why one of our chief constables got 2 speeding fines when one of his staff drove through a speed camera and failed to fill out the vehicle log book as being the driver that shift

Also people keep referring to the 'average 18 year old' Are all people who enlist in a military career 'average' or would you suggest some are below par? I'd suggest some are below this 'average' standard that keeps getting thrown around

Thanks! I shall keep at it then. Ive been using bannisters as an improvised bar at the moment. The top one is just the right height. Pretty much only 90 degrees, but got to start somewhere! As per the usual that I see here a lot. I will ask my instructor too

Thats handy info cos I am pretty much doing the same thing. Starting TKD when I haven't really done any similar sports so my flexibility is certainly lacking at the moment.

I think they should make better efforts to find servicemen who haven't contributed as much. By recalling the same person a number of times they are just causing him delay in getting on with his life. Hes trying to study and move on from military life and keeps getting pulled out. This is a welfare issue that I think should be of concern to people in the relevant departments. This is bad publicity and if they think they already have a recruitment problem, more stories like this aren't going to do them any favours. Maybe the fat cat sitting in the office shuffling his paperwork could take his place and realise then they will realise they are fucking with real peoples lives not just a service record.

Anyone got any tips or forward me to a good online resource regarding stretching to improve flexibility rather than to prevent injury. I've found some good sites and spoken to some people but I was wondering how frequently you can do this. Is it like when your working muscle groups you should allow some recovery time or is it something you can continuously work on? Any help appreciated.

I think the major difference is an unsuccesful conclusion of the war (WW1&2) would have meant certain change for our countries to be under different rule. The stakes were alot greater therefore people did their bit. Noone gives a fuck about Iraq anymore, it was exciting at first, we were going to make the place a great country. Now we are bored of it. The only updates we get on the news now is what the death count has been that day. If we all walked from Iraq now there would be civil war and furthur damage in the middle east.... but that affecets ME how? Back on topic: I agree with Tony, there must surely be other reservists who can be called up who haven't yet served an extension of their service or maybe even volunteer rejoiners. I think the guys done his bit, now his country should try to do their bit and see him out of harms way until his period of recall (or whatever its called) has expired.

Well, I've jumped out the car numerous times only to find I have handcuffed myself to my seatbelt or that I'm still wearing it and im scrambling like a turtle on its back. Both are potentially serious officer safety issues so you can understand the exemption although I think that actually come about because when escorting prisoners you need to be able to respond or escape any threat. We dont have cages or screens over here unless in a van If I need to I'm out the car before its stopped moving and chasing someone up the road well before the drivers even thought of a place to stop. You'll be surprised what you see just on routine patrol. Its not all 999 / 911 and rushing about the area, proactive policing is hugely satisfying and often happens when you least expect it. However if I was involved in an accident and injured due to not wearing a seatbelt I wouldn't get a penny in damages or healthcare.
