I'd urge you not to believe too much that goes into these news reports. There is probably more to it than she has told the papers on giving them her story

.. I hope your friends enjoys his jump in WILTSHIRE though

Huh!? Sorry, just a pet hate of mine. London has this weird glamour people try to latch on to. Even though its a shithole

Homeowner arrested after the burglar he confronted falls 30ft
Scoop replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
You are arrested so an investigation can be made. He can be interviewed etc. You bring up a few good points. ie fear etc, which will be for a jury to decide (if it gets that far). I personally doubt he will be prosecuted for anything. -
I'm just wondering how old the oldest organ will be in the future. What if we have recipients re-donating In the future: "This kidney has been in the family for years and dates back as far as the first gulf war son. Its pretty old but it still does the job nicely" *puts serious hat back on* I just think the option shouldn't automatically default to having yourself cut up and organs handed around like some kind of free for all. We are not public property, we are individuals. Also whilst it is commented how many people are dying because of not having a donor think of how many people have been kept alive that should have died years ago thanks to medical advances. We can't help everyone and there has got to be a natural balance. Saying that, naturally if I or someone close to me needed an organ I'd want it available immediatly. Imagine if you were in an accident and rushed to hospital. When you woke up you found out while they had you under the knife they removed a kidney and gave it to someone else. You don't NEED 2 after all and you hadn't stated you wouldn't donate so they assumed it would be OK. Would that be right?

Hi, Any serving RAF here? PM me if you are. Thanks people

But you have to scrape all the bottom of the deck so it looks like you can actually skate.

No respect I vote you just kick his ass. Sometimes the old fashioned ways are the best. Alternatively everytime he damages something of yours, damage his. He pisses on your toilet... piss on his bed.

how fast can you get on your belly?
Scoop replied to shermanator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Apparantly (I don't have a protrack) I've been able to get to 150 +/- according to people sit flying with me Its fun to be on your belly and watch people sit flying -
It's still someones place of rest. You shouldn't walk over graves you should walk between them.

I want to be as complete as possible when I go in the ground. I didn't enter life as a do-it-yourself flat pack child. As soon as I hit 50 I'm going to the doctor once a week until the day I die just so those bastards don't have to put me under the knife to find a cause of death. I think its sad that even in obviously innocent and natural circumstances they still perform a post mortem. I have respect for the dead. I'd never walk across a grave or take a short cut through a graveyard and I want some of that courtesy extended to me. That includes my right not to be stripped bare and organs sent away like a car in a scrap yard. Its not a religious thing, I don't have a faith, but thats my personal view on treating a body respectfully and I shouldn't have to go out my way to sign a form to request my body remain intact. I know people need organs but its tough. Not off me I'm afraid. I truly believe that in my lifetime I will do more than enough to contribute to society and prevent loss of life to not be bothered when I'm finally at rest. By the time I die they'll probably be growing organs in a labratory anyway, they are nearly there already.

Damn, this could be bad news. I wonder how it will affect me working in a rural area if it does get worse. Am I alos right in thinking that last time they stopped all jumping? I know they stopped motor racing
-
What he said and to reitterate its an irrational fear of what people know nothing about that scares them
-
But why should you have to request not to be cut up and organs handed out? What about people who die young who never even thought about making such a request and never got a chance to prevent it.

This story got my blood boiling... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6902519.stm Quote from the article: How ridiculous. I think one of my biggest rights is to be buried intact and complete. I do not wish to be an organ doner. I like to think I will give enough to people in life without, in death, being robbed of my organs. I have been wondering about getting my first tattoo and now I think I may well have to get one to inform whoever that I do not wish to be an organ doner! Some may consider it selfish but I don't want to give after death. I find it disrespectful to the dead.

Well partly yeah. I do believe that if you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. DNA is 100% unique and unlike fingerprints which have a certain number of features used for identification, with DNA only an exact match is used for identification. Therefore it is impossible to forge or be mistaken. And besides after one look of a photo of us do you think anyone would want to clone us?
-
Now thats awesome!
-
What do you expect? The war started in 1941 remember
-
You would have thought air would be more preferable to oxygen tanks. Fucking reporters
-
Tony.... please. Behave. The truth is people are frightened of what they know nothing about. Not syaing I do know about it, but I don't care if my DNA is on file
-
Some people don't want to adopt. I wouldn't want to. I'd want to continue the family name and genes.
-
Police only have power to take DNA off people who have committed recordable offences. This is, yet again, media bullshit. But you guys keep lapping it up!

I'm not anti gun so I can't help you.
