THat is a funny moment! I once had a run in with a newly promoted sergeant, he was throwing his newly acquired power around and really got up my nose. When I went to write a report up about an incident I really ripped into him calling him an asshole and saying that ever since hes become a sergeant hes a dick. Just cos hes not getting any at home etc... you know how people moan. Anyway... the woman sitting next to me turned round and said "yeah, my boyfriend can be a dick at times" Erm.... shit!

The best soundtrack Ive heard is to the film Judgement Night. Ironically ive never seen the film but the tracks are awesome and some 1 off colaberations between some good artists...

I found an article that might interest you. I was invited to work that shift but declined and would have been in crew with these guys. For some unknown reason I decided I didnt want to work that night (Im a volunteer and both the officers are friends of mine and full time officers.) The driver in this instance is one of the areas finest response drivers and unfortunately, as this proves, SHIT HAPPENS. You can be as cool calm and highly trained as you want but as in this instance things do go wrong. I dont want to go into any detail as it would all be speculation. Its still under investigation but it appears the woman pulled out in front of the police vehicle. Upon impact her car ripped iinto three pieces and she was killed instantly. Through some amazing good fortune and possibly to do with the stab vests spreading the loads of the seatbelts across there bodies the offciers got out with minor injuries and went home that night. The worst thing about it was realising what had happened and that they would be investigated to see if any criminal charges should be raised I think you should take a moment to read this before you go and ruin an innocent life. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/kent/4368962.stm

Your right 100%. However I believe that it is easier for some shit to shoot you than it is to take you on by any other means. Mentally and phsyically. Guns are a great leveller, even the weediest drugged up piece of shit could still point and shoot and they dont even have to be paticularly close to do you some mishief. Whilst you label guns as tools. You still have to respect them as weapons. They are designed to kill or injure. That is the bottom line. Cars dont kill people, the drivers do. Doesnt make them any less dangerous in the wrong hands. For the record im neither for or against an armed public. But the more firarms there are, the easier it is for someone who really shouldnt have one to get hold of one.

I concur. The corwd we hung around with were very good natured. We would lend each other tools, spare parts and the drivers even loaned cars in one instance when my boss was chasing the championship and the other guy wasnt. But then my boss was the engine builder so maybe they thought hed repay the favour somehow!

Ive got to tell you some verbals I once had with a young lad who thought his little piece if shit car was the bollocks. HIM - What size engine is that? I bet thats a quick car. Gotta be a 2 litre, I bet its turbod. ME - its a 1.4 Turbo diesel so not quite. HIM - What? why dont you guys put spoilers on the back of your cars then? ME - Why would we want to do that? HIM - To make them go faster ME - It would probably make us go slower as it is unnecesary weight and the extra wind resistance. Plus it would look ridiculous. HIM - No it wouldnt you idiot. Itd make you go faster, do you know much about cars? ME - A little bit yeah, Im a qualified panel beater, I worked as a fabricator/engineer for a modified saloon car manufacturer and I was on their amateur race team as well, so I know a fair bit about cars. HIS MATES - I think he might know more than you then. Little piece of shit hatchback = 300 quid Stupid gay spoiler = 100 quid Ridiculously oversized alloy wheels = 2000 quid Watching him talk utter shit and get humiliated by me in front of his mates = PRICELESS!
