  6. Yeah, you see im not allowed firearms over here, so I have to settle with firarms You can get quite a whip on them though, you ever seen Indiana Jones just whip a weapon out of someones hands
  7. Haha, good. I am aware of the irony. I use the term 'your country' meaning, most developed countries, my own included EDIT: Ive been made aware of another irony. How funny!
  8. Dont forget your country is what it is today from years of bullying and beating up on people weaker than them. You need to put your foot down from time to time and make examples of people, it stops uprisings

  10. Most people I know that have anything like that use the softer grade of squash balls. My brother did this very form of rehabilitation after he severed the muscles in his wrist. If they had told him to have used condoms filled with flour wed have told them to piss off!
  11. I think your missing the point. They identified a potential offense, they dealt with it. Who gives a fuck who they were working for?
  12. Hold on. sorry RL, I re-read your message. For some reason I was under impression they made off from the vehicle. That is disgusting. Every human has a duty of care for another. Police or not. If someones had an accident someone should stop and help, I always do! Cant believe the amount of assholes that walk/drive on by in situations like that
  13. That probably means they had no powers to take action in that area, but it sounds like they raised aa PD who could. Although probably appeared ridiculous they wouldnt have had any more powers than you.
  14. Yes but as law enforcement officials they cannot turn a blind eye and just say... 'not my problem' "Officer will you help me, ive fallen off my bike and im hurt" "Sorry no, call 911 and ask for a medical technician, I dont do blood and bones and stuff. Have a nice day now, hope the bleeding stops"

  16. That I completely agree with and it needs to be addressed however if whoever it was used there discretion and let them go they would, in my opinion, be in dereliction of their duty, especially if the test confirmed some trace of a controlled substance
  17. Well then smoke your little lungs out! In fact you can smoke twice as much as its so cheap. YAY!
  18. Well if I was an employer Id be fucked off if everytime the workload increased they became all stressy and it would be sad to see them wasting there breaks having a cigarette. I used to work in a tall building and we got 5 min break every hour. There was no smoking allowed in the building so they had to go on a charge out the building from the 8th floor (thats my idea of a tall building ), have a smoke like they were on some kind of timed gameshow and run back in the building. Im a bit of an ass so I probably dont put across what im saying very well but I would hate to be a slave to that product. Nightjumper stated that you dont know what someones circumstances were at the time but to me, it just looks like the disadvantages outweigh the benefits. Think how much your paying the tax man for one!
  19. Now that really is openning up a new A. You would be heroes if you could rig something like that up to ground it and keep it then permanently safe to climb/jump
  20. Im gonna go out on a limb and say it, but then thats what speakers corner is all about... someone who has to smoke when work is getting on top of them is showing a weakness. Admittadely its caused by a chemical reliance thing but its still a weakness. Its just a socially accepted low level drug really, same as alcohol. Now that I am guilty to but its not as addictive as smoking. I dont have to go out of work to take beer breaks every hour Im sorry for people that have smoked and then quit only to find theselves in another stressful situation and getting back into the habbit. For people like me it just seems alien. I hope you understand that. I am amazed by the amount of skydivers that smoke and therefore have put on my flame proof pants.
  21. Im afraid it doesnt work like that, certainly not in the UK. Yeah sure, you are innocent until found guilty. But no charge has yet been raised against her so I guess technically she is innocent. Shes is however detained pending the investigation. Its not reasonable to expect people to be allowed to be bailed to return at a later date because we know that real offenders are not going to do this. You can therefore be remanded in custody. Things like previous offences, the severity of the offence etc are taken into consideration. I guess thats why the bail was set so high, knowing that she wouldnt be able to pay it is effectively remanding her.
  22. No, my Mum & Dad were both smokers. I really didnt understand why they did it. It was filthy. Keep going to the shops to buy some more, stunk. Looked really tramp like. Ive never even tried, I guess the reason for that is I was scared. I knew it was addictive and was scared thining I'd instantly get hooked. Naive young kids thought maybe, but it protected me! I have the same attitude now and going through school seeing the so called 'fit lads' gradually start doing shit at sports like cross country it gave me even greater enjoyment not smoking! My Dad left home and my Mum stopped smoking. You really see just how cool it is when you start painting what you thought was a white ceiling, or wash the curtians and see the colour of the water in the washing machine. Fucking minging! Also I dont understand the 'i live a stressful lifestyle' argument. Your feeding it yourself. Dont you realise that? Plenty of people have a stressful lifestyle. If your saying you cant cope without having a smoke everytime something gets a bit griefy I think that says something about your personality/charachter.

    What if?

If they have made that statement I would see if you could somehow find out if your insured out of work hours. It maybe that the vehicle is only insured being used as a work vehicle for your employer. I dont know what they do to you out there for driving uninsured but it would suck. Do they issue producers over there? If your issued a producer it will have the time/date and location of stop so your employer will know what you were upto. If you are requested to take paperwork to the station I suppose your employer would know but you might be able to blag it without them having to see the ticket. Id suggest if you drive around at night hanging around antennas and the like you may run into police often and its not unreasonable for them to make a few enquiries if your out and about at odd hours. But then, depending on nature of your work, I suppose youve got a very convincing cover story I wouldnt have thought that if your busted for jumping they would contact your employer for using the vehicle, unless they are paticularly switched on and identify the possible above offence. They should just deal with that in the same way though I would think so you get time to blag it. Its not unusual for me to issue drivers with producers as a normal part of speaking to a driver. Youll be surprised what results turn up by 'fishing'. However if you score paticularly high on the 'attitude test' and you have documentation to hand like driving licence etc they might not feel the need to do this.
