    AGreed, but I also find it unsavory that the beneficiaries are limited to those who bought gas guzzlers in the first place. Someone who has an old car getting 25mpg can't benefit if they buy a new 35mpg model. this is another crazy way our new President - I didn't vote for him but since I live here he is mine, right? - is trying to accomplish a number of things, shift money from one class to another, provide an incentive to buy cars which he hopes are from his new auto companies so his over-paid voters, the auto unions, will be happy, save the environment, etc. - in general none of these are good reasons for this program that said - I have one of these clunkers, a 1998 Ford Explorer with 221,000 miles that looks and runs great, in its prime it got 21 mpg on the highway and 18 in town, the charts they are using to determine the mpg of cars says that it gets 17 highway and 14 city, cha ching

    what complex topics for this forum: avoided cost, net metering, reverse power relays, retail wheeling, basic facility charge, metering charge, point source generation, etc. true net metering rates are political decisions that pacify the vocal mini-minority and penalize non-participants (99.99% of customers) the grid was never designed or intended to accomodate point source generators, either from an electrical engineering or economic perspective, it was designed for safety and reliability our utility offers 4 types of "net metering" programs, our "Offset Only" program is almost identical to the one SDG&E has that Billvon uses the method Billvon utilizes is as fair as it gets for all concerned - the customer, the other customers and the utility Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     Monroe is a great and safe dropzone, owner is a pilot, tandem and AFF instructor beleive they are flying a King Air - twin engine turbo prop plane I'm an instructor at Skydive Carolina, we've had a few folks from Augusta but it is about 2.5 hours away, we would love to have you but Monroe is closer and a good DZ Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     so it is not possible for a married guy to take a business partner/acquaitance out for a beer without hitting on her?? are we all that worried that everyone out there is an axe murderer?? sure, be careful but only one reason not to go - you said she was attracted to him, if she can't keep her panties on then don't go, it will eventually wreck the business relationship, and there is no way that someone else will not find out - might be possible that he has no other motive except to enjoy her company and build a better business relationship, this is done all the time, the biggest deal I ever closed was with a women in a sports bar - drive herself, she can pick the spot, and tell him ahead of time that she needs to leave at XX PM, possibly bring another business partner or her boss Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     it is the governors responsibility to carry out the spending plan that is approved, they included the stimulus money in the budget the governor thought that it was his option on whether to apply for the money or not, he felt that they did not have the authority to approve spending if the money did not exist the court said, budget was approved, go make the application one must dig deeper to understand why there was conflict, it is simple politics - not what is right or wrong democrats won, a few jobs are temporarily saved, wasteful spending can be ignored a little longer republicans lost, state taxpayers lost they just don't know it yet Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.
