    im curious, why is that? some people can "see" or their brain can "see" the flicker at 60Hz if you have ever been in a room that has a ceiling fan hung below a light fixture then you have seen somehting similar to what they see, the constant flicker is very irritating Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     LEDs don't flicker but are not common products and hard to find something that will work fluorescent fixtures with electronic ballasts don't flicker, at least not anything close to what you can see > 20,000 times / sec fixtures with magnetic ballasts sometimes can flicker at a rate that you can see < 60 times / sec quite often it may just have "old" lamps would be much easier to just have the maintenance folks install an electronic ballast what kind of computer monitor do you have? if it is the old CRT type that may be the problem, get a LCD or if you do a lot of computer work it can just be your eyes getting tired, especially if the screen has glare from other light sources I've seen the headache problem solved by various means: reading glasses, chair adjustment, monitor change, glare elimination and eye check-up Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     I always get the door open in time to check for traffic and in plenty of time to be ready for the climb out. For those of you who feel compelled to scream at us, may I suggest chillaxing just a bit. Screaming seldom makes people move any faster but it does make you look like an anxious nervous newbie. the more they scream the slower I go, eventually I just stare at them, that trains em to shut up Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     on the Otter is also nice if the door remains open an inch after it is closed from full-open, that keeps air flowing thru the cabin and it won't heat up much, especially up front, if someone in the rear will just put the toe of their shoe under the door that is all it takes Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     Zero emissions applies to the auto, not the source. I suggest that people look into the alternate source programs offered by many power companies in major cities. For instance, for an additional $15 month, you can ask Public Service of Colorado to deliver electricity to you from only wind farms. not sure exactly what you mean by "deliver electricity only from wind farms" but please understand that you are getting the same power you always got, they are just allowing you to pay "extra" for wind power that already exists on the grid, when enough folks pay the extra cost then supposedly more wind power is added adding a certain "kind" of electricity to the grid is like pouring a bucket of dye in the ocean, if you are right next to or near the dye then you get some Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.     glad I read this before going to the CARS site - tin foil beanie installed on the computer, wrapped some extra around the cable wire just in case - check - visit CARS site, determine if both cars qualify - check - swap tires & wheels with stranger for $200, remove jack, floor mats, head unit and other valuabe parts - check - go to dealer, get my $3,500 discount, turn in clunker, kiss her goodbye, shed a tear - check - drive out with new car - check - rush home to see if my computer has been hacked, destroyed, or somehow infiltrated - check - no problems, everything working great, remove tin foil - check - this is a great website - check - thanks for the tin foil idea, saved me a lot of trouble, tricked the government again - woohoo Really folks - if you want to worry about something, try swine flu or the millions of bacteria on your kitchen counter.     to add another item to the discussion: What about turning off the AAD? What is the purpose of the AAD? If it is to provide some level of protection in case of skydiver "failure to perform", unconsciousness, etc. then maybe you don't need it on a solo jump, and thus can eliminate the two-out issue.     glad to see a healthy discussion on this topic, with turbine craft it rarely happens so most folks don't ever think about it with the "old" DC-3's and Twin Beech's - we generally expected it so it was never an issue great comments all around Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together.
