Based on what evidence? A crime has not been committed, so there's no pattern of behavior to base that on. It can be argued that they have committed a crime, so they're more likely to commit another, but that's not really the issue here. True, but there is nothing to prove that more of the theft is caused by people with bad credit. The employee, but treating someone as a criminal because of a bad credit history probably isn't going to stop stuff from being stolen. Just because alot of criminals have bad credit does not mean all people with bad credit are criminals.

Bad credit most certainly is an indication someone is likely to do something illegal. One of the biggest costs to businesses is employee theft and I don't mean just stealing merchandise from a retail store. Every year busunesses lose $billions to dishonest employees who sell company secrets to competitors, illegally headhunt on company time and property, and embezzellment. Approximately 30% of all employees steal and another 60% would if the right opportunity presented itself. Here are just a few of the scams that go on within almost any meduim to large company. * Forging Receipts. Salespersons can charge a customer one sum, ring up a receipt for less, and pocket the difference. * Hiding Receipts. When bookkeeping is sloppy and little supervision exists, employees can keep cash and receipts without raising an eyebrow. * Pocketing Loose Change. Small sums of money, such as fees or petty cash, may not be missed at all. * Pilfering Merchandise. Goods your firm purchases may never even make it to the shelves. * Fictitious Payroll. Occasionally personnel managers will authorize salary for fictitious workers, then keep it for themselves. * Overbilling Expenses. Managers with expense accounts may submit receipts twice and be reimbursed twice, or inflate actual expenses incurred. * Purchasing Fraud. Employees sometimes declare themselves suppliers of nonexistent goods, and subsequently reimburse themselves handsomely. Someone who is unable to handle their own finanaces is more likely to steal from a company than ssomeone who is responsible. I'm not saying that losses due to employee theft aren't a major problem, I'm just saying I haven't seen any data that proves people with good credit are less likely to do it than people with bad credit. I'd bet that all of the Enron and Tyco execs had excellent credit.

Okay, drug use is a personal matter, why should drug testing be ok? How about a criminal record, that's personal too.. You beat your wife, so? why should that have any effect on getting a job? Drug use... Illegal. Criminal Record.... Proof that a crime was committed. Domestic Abuse.... Illegal. Bad credit: Not illegal, and not an indication that someone is likely to do something illegal, and in many cases it isn't even accurate. See the difference?

Not really. If the incident you speak of actually happened (I really don't recall anything about it in the past year or so), it shows that someone got in over their head and got hurt. A single incident doesn't really show anything. Since you obviously know so much about statistics, I'm sure you knew that. Looks like you're running out of things to say so you're going to start attacking my home DZ. It's a pretty pathetic argument, but I can't say that I'm suprised. Doubtful, but basing stuff on what threads are posted here is a pretty shitty way to get accurate statistics anyway. Ah, ok. So that's why you're trying to attack my home DZ now. I understand. I don't have anything to add to this thread that hasn't already been said. Feel free to reply if you wan't, but don't expect another response from me, as I'm tired of wasting my time arguing with you over unrelated stuff.

1. I don't know who you're talking about. 2. Why would that make the Sabre a bad canopy? No, but were not talking about Novas, we're talking about Sabres. No need to. I've seen plenty of threads about hard openings, including threads about Sabre2s, Safires, Stilletos, Velocitys, VX's and other canopies. Statistically speaking, there are a hell of alot of Sabres out there, which means that there are probably going to be more hard openings from Sabres than other canopies, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

The infomation I posted was only stuff you posted on here personally, so either it's accurate or you're a habitual liar. The threat via PM was a nice touch too. There are plenty of people at my home DZ that jump Sabre 1's, and are very happy with them. Since you seem to hate them so much, have you ever even jumped one?

I dont think so, turbine ones at least. I think there is a DZ in the Midland/Odessa area, but I'm not sure how far away that is.

He started AFF at the end of June '04 so he probably hasn't made thousands of jumps (I'd guess around 400 so far). He finished AFF in a week or so. He hit 40 jumps around Sept '04. non-jumping related stuff edited out He loads his Nitron around 1.2.

Good question. I've taken the test, passed it, met all the requirements, and even have the form filled out, I just haven't had it signed off by an instructor. It's been sitting in my gear bag like that for a few months now, I just keep forgetting to get it signed off before I leave the DZ. -

Maybe I am misunderstanding what his question is. However, having put a lot of jumps on that canopy during the development , one thing I can tell you makes a big difference in the openings is that second brake line. As long as they are adjusted equaly the canopy will open and fly predicatably. Right now, they're both set so they have about the same amount of slack in them in full flight, There isn't any tail deflection, but it's shorter than I prefer, so I;m going to adjust the lower steering lines so I have a little bit more slack to work with. I was curious as to what would happen if I made the outside steering lines a little bit shorter than the inboard lines (below the cats eye, so it won't affect the openings, which are awesome by the way). I'm guessing that with the outside lines shorter, when the toggle is pulled, it will pull down on the outer tail a little bit before the inner part of it, but I'm not sure how it would affect the flight characeristics of the canopy, which is what I am wondering. Edit: I'm confusing myself...

End Cell Closures - Canopy too big due to weight loss?

When I was a student, I never had end cell closures on the Navigatos, or on the Silhouette 230 I jumped right off of student status. I demo'd a Sabre2 230 a few weeks later and had end cell closures on every single jump. I'd get them occasionally on a Safire2 209, but haven't ever had them on my Firebolt yet. I'd bet that canopy design plays a bigger part of it than wingloading. -
I'm adjusting the lower steering lines, so it shouldn't affect openings, and the inboard line isn't stowed anyway. I'm just wondering how it would affect the turning and flare characteristics of it.

I got the one item I didn't really need (It was cheap, and I bought it to qualify for the free shipping.) I didn't really have to worry about cancelling the other items, they cancelled them for me, seeing as how they didn't have them and didn't know when they would get them. My biggest gripe was the fact that they were saying they had items in stock that they knew they didn't have. I ended up buying the UA stuff at the local sporting goods store.

Only if they already had some beers at a party and wanted some more on the way home... Those are more likely to pop open a brew than one who hasn't had any... just my opinion True, but if they can't buy cold beer, they'll probably just grab one or two before they leave the party. I'm not sure what the rule is for selling beer to people that have been drinking, but that seems like an option too. -

I've never known anyone so sensitive to alcohol that they could get drunk while drinking a beer on the drive home from the gas station. I doubt it'll have any affect on drunk driving. -
Sinus Infection - Hop n' Pops OK?

I've done a few hop n pops after recovering from a mild sinus infection. I didn't have any trouble, but I'm not sure I'd do it again. It's better to wait a week to jump then screw up your sinuses and have to wait much longer though.
