Someone has to work on that nose...

I hate watching the wings flex, but I can't look away. I find myself wondering just how many times they can flex before they break.

Before I got my current job, I wouldn't go to the DZ with any more money than I could spend. If I needed it for something, I left it at home so I couldn't spend it.

Fool proof pilot chute / always to be cocked?
justinb138 replied to Liemberg's topic in Gear and Rigging
It was called the "Life Line." Good idea until the kill line shrunk. Then the pin didn't want to come out of the right hole anymore. So why not use HMA or something that doesn't shrink? Wings uses kevlar in their kill-line pcs. The only reason that I could think of for not using HMA or Vectran would be that they seem like they would wear out much quicker. -
How many jumps are you doing in a day? I found relaxing much, much easier after the first jump of the day.

Brakes getting unstowed during opening

The wings type 17 risers I've got have elastic on the back to stow the excess, but the type 8 pair I have doesn't. I just sewed some tape on the back to stow it, as having that extra steering line flapping around didn't look too fun. -
um, I have to say that I've had the exact Opposite experience. That's what I was thinking. Aren't Tri's known for handling turbulence better than pretty much any other canopy out there?

It doesn't elongate, it shrinks.

I haven't done that, but I have found myself constantly glancing at my left wrist on the way up. -
Here's one based on an SCR picture I came across from JFU last year.

Isn't that Precision's pattern?

Personally, I see biometrics becoming more popular than any kind of implanted chip. -
Talk to Ernie, Mandy or Ron when you're out at the DZ. They've probably seen you land, they'll make sure you're getting something appropriate.

I'll have to remember to sit in the back row next class.

I'm sitting here in a Computer Apps class bored out of my mind....

They do (Jeff). You can get in touch either by calling the DZ, or sending him an email (I think I have his email address, PM me if you want it).

Video: A bad Mr. Bill with a cutaway

After seeing many videos of Mr. Bills, I can't say that I have any desire to try one. -

1200$ is kind of high for a used canopy, but not for a full rig. What kind of container/main/reserve is it?

The tiny ones are fun, but I've accidentally discharged a decent sized one in my arm. It hurt like hell, burned me a little bit, and made my arm go kinda numb for a little while.
