  1. I hope there are no terminal reserve rides in your future.
  2. You're jumping a 16 year-old rig at 120% of the TSO'd weight limit? Yes. What reserve do you have in there?
  3. Quote Also, what canopy has the smallest packing volume? Thats not elipitical or anything like that. Quote Probably an F111 7-Cell, but I doub't you't want one of those as a main. I'm fond of my Silhouette. It's half 0-3cfm fabric, so it's very easy to pack, and I think it packs a bit smaller than a full-ZP canopy of the same size.
  4. Thousands? I'd guess the cost would be somewhere in the 100 billion+ range...
  5. I'm not sure about design, but I know they do printing. They make some of the shirts for the store at SDD, and our local teams as well.
  6. Give Tom or Lee @ Applied Deceleration a call. http://www.applieddeceleration.com/
  7. I've been thinking about getting one of the little Ex250's just to ride to work and back. They get around 50-60mpg, and it'd keep me from putting so many miles on my car...
  8. What kind of bike do you have?
  9. ummmm, that's scary Not really. The main pin on my Wings container comes open frequently too. Every time I pull.
  10. they could do, but who would want a yamaha R1 that only does 120mph flat out and 0 - 60 in 12 seconds If/when gas hits $5/gallon, alot of people.
  11. I've always wondered when/if motorcycle manufacturers were going to come up with a bike designed for fuel efficiency. If I can get 35mpg in my 2700lb car, surely they could make a 300lb bike that could get 80-100mpg right?
  12. I don't see how it would speed up the deployment, but I see how it would be possible for a bridle/line to wrap around the flap during deployment.
  13. The last one I saw seemed like it was made from the same slippery ZP as PD's canopies, so I don't see why it'd be any easier. If anything, I think it'd be harder with the non-cascaded hma lines.
  14. PM Grue, he jumps a 210.
  15. [reply\ So - what are lobbyists wearing these days? A few are wearing handcuffs.
  16. Euros!??!? Please help this lazy american.... what does that convert in to dollars?
  17. That reserve is older than I am! You may have trouble finding a rigger that will pack a 25 year old reserve.
  18. Not trying to be a dick, but personally I find it kind of frightening that you let a closing loop get so worn that it broke while you were packing. Didn't anyone say anything to you about it when you got a gear check before boarding the plane before the jump?
  19. That's what I do, and I've had no issues with line twists at all. I don't double wrap the locking stows, and they're not loose, but not too tight.
  20. Texas doesn't have a state income tax. We just have an 8.75% sales tax, property tax, and basically every other type of tax you can think of.
  21. In most cases, an excercise in stupidity. While some work ok, I've seen too many videos of jumps that didn't for me to ever think about trying it. Search for Mr.Bill @ skydivingmovies.com for some videos.
