260 jumps/ vengence 150/ 1.4 loading
justinb138 replied to teason's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
No it doesn't. The Vengence has more than a reasonable recovery arc. Blues, Ian Some of the reviews on this site describe the recovery arc as closer to an x-braced canopy than a stiletto. -
Not that I've heard of.

See the motorcycle?? A dead dumb ass was riding it
justinb138 replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
That's quite possibly the greatest piece of literature I've ever read. -
Silhouette....

I've taken it twice....

How about the cost of putting pirahanas in the river?
-
I'll watch for it up at SDD.

Both jumpers will experience the forward throw from the plane, so it's not really a factor.

Wing Loadings - who is over?
justinb138 replied to jumpingjimmy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That's probably true, but not for the reasons you think it will be. -
This reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw on a car a few days ago. It said "God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts".

I believe a 220sq ft tri is 220sq ft. (No weird stuff like the original Safires or anything that I can think of). As far as pack volume, it depends on when it was made. The older tri's were made with the Gelvanor ZP, which seems to pack a little larger than the current stuff they're using (on the up side it's a lot less slippery than the new stuff).

do any other manufacturers or engineers support the speedbag?
justinb138 replied to darnknit's topic in Gear and Rigging
I was talking about the free stow part of your post. I think that the Icon uses flutes to stow the lines instead of free stowing. I looked at the manual that you posted but it does not show putting the canopy in the bag or stowing the lines. The ICON uses has elastic stow bands in the velcro pouch on the freebag to stow the lines. For some reason, I don't remember it being mentioned in the packing manual though. -
Step 1. Call PD. Step 2. Tell them you need a new lineset. Step 3. Have them ship it to your rigger and have them install it, or ship the canopy to PD to have PD work on it.

Immigration protests and their effect on you.
justinb138 replied to briguy's topic in Speakers Corner
There was a protest? -
It's around 265$ for the four-year and battery. If there are any issues with it due to the fire, I'm sure that airtec will find them in the 4-year check.
-
It will be moving forward in relation to the surface (or the surface will be moving backward in relation to the plane), but not relative to the air, which provides the lift needed for it to fly, so it will not take off.

Yep, I know Dallas does, although it's been a while since I've seen one done.
-
So could packing it wrong.

I remember hearing on the news recently that since power deregulation in TX, prices have risen to 40% above the national average.
-
It wouldn't decrease the price of gas, just increase the profit margin for the oil companies.

You mean like the whole wiretap without a warrant thing? -
A couple of my employees want to join the protest...
justinb138 replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
Can employers fire immigrants for a day to show them how important the national economy is to them?
