I'll mention the Silhouette as well. It open's nice, flies nice, lands nice, and is pretty easy to pack too.

Nope, it's the Frisco just to the west of Dallas. 3 R's?

Agreed. The story didn't mention much about the fact that the teacher had visited the place a few times prior to the trip to ensure that it was appropriate, and that it was approved, and even encouraged by the school administrators. The school board was supposed to meet to deicde what action to take last night, but I haven't heard the outcome yet. According to her lawyer (was on the radio last night), she was told by someone on the school board that "she was going to get fired, they just had to have a meeting to find a good reason". I think the parents and the school board could use a good ass-kicking.

Which is sad, because I think a good ass-kicking would be better for some people than a ticket or a night in jail.

The newer Corvette's will get 20-24mpg even with the big V-8.

The Neptune will show descent rate under canopy, but I'm not sure if it's possible to review the data afterwards (I haven't played with Paralog yet, so this may be possible). Edit: Looks like you can, as mentioned in the last post.

I bet the lawyer drives a Hummer.

The only one I know of is called "AGWA", and it's made from extracts of the plant, but contains no cocaine, and is legally available in certain parts of the US currently. While is is being marketed as an energy drink of sorts, it's between 30-40% alcohol if I remember correctly. I've been trying to find some to try out, but I've only been able to find it online, and the places won't ship out of state.

Have you seen any recent reviews? I haven't heard about any problems with them in quite a while, and mine has been working great.

So... Now that gas prices are going back down...

Gas isn't the only thing that's involved in getting 10 jumpers to 13,000ft. -
The SIM recommends having a C license at a minimum before flying a camera. Many camera flyers and more experienced jumps would recommend more jumps than that.

Sounds like the fault of the system taking three years, not the guy filing the complaint in this case. I can see a need for accountability for filing a false report, but this seems like a really bad idea.

If you haven't tried it, pick up a bottle of Millagro Anejo, good stuff, and relatively inexpensive.

There's a good book by Warren Farrell on the subject. It's explains the "glass ceiling" thing pretty well.

I don't think size has much to do with it. People have been injured from openings on canopies of all sizes.

Reminds me of an SNL episode from a year or two ago.

Not to mention that a very large percentage of the country has inaccurate information on their report. It took me 3 months to get 4 or 5 things that were on my report that weren't accurate fixed.

Scissors? Damn I didn't consider that, you are pretty clever. Allways a thinker. Maybe I can chop the end off with a sharp rock. I don't want to lop the excess strap off my new 300 dollar altimeter. I don't think I would be able to hem? the newly cut section well enough to keep it from fraying at the cut. So cut it, then take a lighter to it.

Casa?

I don't have any experience with Aerodyne's program, but working with PD on the few demo canopies I've received has been great. They continue to impress me everytime I deal with them.

Senate Intelligence Report will make interesting reading

That's what I've been thinking since this thread was posted. -
What can we do about Skyride?
justinb138 replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Because, people don't search for "Skyride" when they're looking for a DZ. They key in something like "Dallas Skydiving", and end up at a Skyride website. -
Bush invented the 45 degree rule Was it alcohol or drug induced? Neither. It was all about the oil.

Wow. I don't think I'd wake up for 3 days if I took that much. The stuff's like Valium to me....
