My fiance and fellow skydiver just came home and told me about her doctor's visit today. It seems the doctor thinks she may have cancer. 1 in 5 chance that she does'nt. Please send your vibes and prayers that tommorrow's doctor's visit will go better for us. Another good one on this guy was when our electronics tech pretended to smell an ammonia inhaler thing ( you use them to wake up someone who has passed out ) and asked him what it smelled like. He held it up to his nose and took a big sniff and then jumped back so fast that his hard hat stayed put in mid air like a cartoon or something. A hillbilly buddy of mine at work just came back tonight from vacation with a nasty sunburn, he can't put his arms down it is so bad. We have to wear coveralls here and he does'nt even wear underwear under them. Well he has rubbed himself raw from walking tonight. He came to the parts room when we were all taking break and asked it the dayshift girl had anything to rub on it (lubrication wise). Well our night shift guy directed him to the "hand lotion" on the wall that is acually hand sanitizer that it almost pure alchohol. He grabbed him a big handful and stuck his hand down his coveralls and started rubbing. Then he started screaming and cursing us while "waddling" to the bathroom at a very fast pace. It was the funniest thing I have seen since the same guy climbed over the fence wearing only his boots and hardhat... It is funny as hell to watch him walk now, arms out in the air and bowlegged like he just got off a horse after a 3 month ride..... __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?

Well I live back in the mountains and about 2 hours from the nearest dz and 4 hours from the closest turbine dz. Landing strips are almost everywheres here. So are the curvy winding roads. To be honest I am afriad of the bike "biting" me. I have a 2003 Honda CBR 600 RR ( black ). I go way to fast on this thing and am going to get myself killed. Just this week I got it up to 161 mph. I do a wheelie almost every time I pull out, getting pretty good on them to (knock on wood) I am also getting to fat to look good on it. Should I sell it and buy myself a powered parachute or just keep it? __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?

Find the RPM where your bike starts to biuld it's power and then let off the gas and nail it, maybe even give a tiny jerk up to help it. That is how I do my CBR 600 RR. I would'nt use the back brakes to bring it down though. Just let off the gas will work just fine and not drive you up. Also make sure you keep the front wheel straight! __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?

I had 38 jumps when I did my check dive. That was after I went to the Mardi Gras boogie and was turned loose there to do whatever I wanted. I just could'nt find either of the instructors at the time with time to take me up until after that. We have a student now who started jumping a year ahead of me and now has roughly 65 jumps and still has problems getting/staying stable. He has even been to the wind tunnel and still can't get past staying stable. The good thing is that he is very persistant and refuses to give up, but on the other hand that can be bad in this sport also. __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?

Some friends at the dz and me have come up with an idea to biuld a helium filled balloon to attatch to an old skydiving harness and container. If we get the balloon just right we think we will be able to jump and go 40 or 50 feet high before we run out of momentum and come back down. Using the container to add a take weight away to get the right balance for different people. Of coarse we will have a line attached to the ground to keep anyone from flying away. The wind will have to be almost 0 to keep from getting dragged away. I can get old weather balloons from ebay really cheap and we already have some old containers laying around the dz. I think it will be fun on cloudy days at the dz. Maybe even bring it to the WFFC. What does everyone else think? I forgot to mention the freuquent tranny problems we have with the automatics in the Ford's. I can't remember how many times they have been rebiult each but we do put them thru pure hell in these mountains trying to get to the wellsites. __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?

We have about 25 of them here at work and I am one of the mechanics. The only problem we have out of the Ford's are hard starting in cold weather, and the occational starter problems. Other than that they are good engines and we put them thru hell everyday in the oilfields of the appalachian mountians. Well I am 29 years old and not had a ticket in over 6 years ( knock on wood ) and only one accident about 2 years ago which I was not at fault. The thing that gets me more than others is that I am still single and live in the mountains where they seem to charge way more than usual. Almost everyone around here sue the living hell out of their insurance for any lil thing that they can get, they are alot of rednecks here.....lol.
