Hi Tee, If I understand, your TV has surround sound cabability, and you want to use that. You'll need to check what kind of audio / video input the TV has (you said it is "digital", but does it have digital inputs, and which: thwere are several types: it may be optic fiber...). Then, you should get a DVD player that has at least a matching output. Also, do you have a stereo system? The sound quality you will get from a decent stereo system will be almost as a rule vastly superior then any TV sound. Make sure you look at comparative study of DVD players. More money does not mean better nececerally. I dont know about canadian/us guides, but for a reference, have a look at the UK one http://www.dvdreview.co.uk/ in the hardware review. Remi Muff 914

Benster, I just hate to see felow skydivers wasting their money on other things then jump tickets and rigs (gee.. you'd think I'd work for SQ1 or soemthing!) Beside, I need to push more traffic to my..errr.. I mean MEC's site before I collapse the company and run away with the money...eerrrrrr.. I mean before their Xmas sale ends. ...but dont stop flying... really good point... Never stop flying. It gets even more true when you start doing larger formation where you end up sitting in place for a while.... As a drill, try to do a no-contact RW jump with an experience jumper (so that there is a stable reference point). No contact jump really force you to practice proximity and flying 100% of the time (they are also very challenging, so dont get discourages if they you have a bit of a hard time at 1st) Remi Muff 914

How much are they? from all I've read, heard, and talked about with reps at Espace, it was not tuned as an "extreme machine" the same way the velocity and FX are... I guess if they're not as expensive it makes sense, but otherwise..... Let us know! Remi Muff 914

a baglock is when the deployment bag leaves the container but the canopy does not leave the bag (line stoes not releasing). If this is the mal you have, the risers should come off. Again, should. The reverse risers are not as ideal as the large 3 rign set up (just as the mini ring set up is not as ideal as the large ones) If your talking about a conrainer not opening (pc in tow) then yes, the risers whoul not dislodge, but that should not be a problem. I think the speeds posted on the competition results are averaged over a certain distance (not top speed). And as far as I remember from reading up the competition, you're not allowed to use funky shaped helmets to reduce your drag (just those "gimpy" looking latex covered jumpsuits...) I know one of the competitor in the league from the UK lurks here and post regularly on uk.rec.skydiving You may want to post there if you want some advice and more links. Remi Muff 914

200 on a 180 reverve is overloading?????????? I guess we just dont have enough info to understand what happened.. If what he had was a "delay" then he would have had a partially opened main maybe what he had was a delay cus he was already low and rushed his opening sequence amd didnt through his pc or pulled well enough his pod that the PC got cought in the burbble... Its a variant (just like mini rings are a variant of the original). You could see more of these "integrety" risers in the US a while back; in Europe, Parachute De France still makes them as a popular option. Remi Muff 914
