    I believe Dr. Paul said he would go to Congress, and have Congress decide whether to declare war. Isn't that how it is supposed to happen according to the Constitution? War sucks. Does bullying ever make peace?

    People always seem to forget that electric cars consume fossil fuel. Instead of directly burning gasoline, they consume electricity which is primarily generated by coal-burning power plants here in the USA.

    Is it really perfectly legal for government officials to peep in through the stall crack and watch you while you are on the toilet? Maybe this is all just a way that Senator Larry Craig is helping keep us safe from terrorists. This was at the airport right? Maybe we should be thanking Senator Craig for bringing this security issue to our attention. Why not install security cameras in all public bathrooms, and require permission to use the potty.

    I agree it is bullshit if this guy is charged with the deaths of the helicopter crews. This reminds me of the recent case of another suspect who was convicted for murder of a poilice office who was responding to a manhunt while intoxicated, driving wrecklessly, and died in a subsequent car accident.     So would you say by the same logic that the relationship between the falling Zimbabwe dollar against the US dollar has nothing to do with inflation (in Zimbabwe)?

    Does anyone else here think that the record highs in the Dow Jones Industrial Average are directly related to the falling US dollar? The Dollar hit record lows against the Euro this past week at the same time the Dow Jones Industrial Average is reaching record highs. It seems to me that inflation is the leading cause for the current "run" in the stock market.

    I had a lineover on Sunday. Three-second delay slider down. I used 3-4 wraps of one inch masking tape. Unfortunately I don't think anyone got video.

    I haven't seen any articles about this, but I don't read the paper everyday. I did however see a comment published from someone calling for more security cameras and a fence to stop the bodies from piling up under the bridge. I hate laws that are designed to protect people from themselves. I feel its just a way to keep people alive longer so they can pay more taxes!

    Yea, the river was 49 degrees that day, and the guy was pretty lucky although he said he was sick for at least a week afterward. Luckily there was a boat down below that could have assisted but wasn't needed. I'm fairly positive he won't be doing that again unless the water is warmer!

    The water is much warmer by Memorial day and is therefore a different situation altogether. Lucky for you that you didn't have to swim since you landed in shallow water, as I can tell you it is extremely exhausting and hard to breath while swimming in frigid water (and potentially deadly). Edited to add: In the the winter many people jump with boots and layers of clothing that saturate with water and add to the difficulty of swimming. Just something to think about...

    Don't forget the problem of landing in water that is cold or fast moving. Too many people erroneously believe that landing in the river is an acceptable "out" during the winter. You wouldn't believe how many people I saw jumping over the middle of the river when the water temps were in the 30s! At least this guy was "smart" enough to jump over the land (the water is still fairly cold).

    When I jump slider down I keep my slider down using the french-link bumpers on my front risers. This seems to be the preferred method of keeping the slider from going up the lines on deployment. With slinks I don't think you have that option.

    Sunday? I thought the plan was to do night jumps on Saturday as soon as the plane gets here.
