THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION

So you think swelling deficits, a shrinking dollar and sustained unemployment are good things for the economy? Never go to a DZ strip show.

I was really trying to stay out of this one but I'll take a stab at a few of these... Hmm, my guess would be that it's the process of building a nation. Kinda like, oh, what we're doing in Iraq right now. Also what Bush said on more than one occasion during the 2000 campaign that the military would not be doing under his command. Have you actually seen the budgets he's proposed. I guarantee you they weren't frugal by any means. So, do you have actual evidence that he's working on it, or are you just taking his word for it? This is just too easy. Ask the retarded people on death row in Texas how compassionate Bush is. Generally, in economic terms short-term indicates a period of time in which most inputs are fixed. The truth of the matter is, debate exists as to the meaning of short-term, though I believe most would agree that a decade does not fit the definition. Tell that to the more than 3 million Americans who have lost their jobs during the Bush administration. To the millions who saw their 401Ks and IRAs dwindle to nothing at a time when they could not afford to ride out the storm. Even if 1.7 million jobs comes true, that still leaves this administration in the negative. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Hoover the last to share that distinction? Umm, no, he didn't. The administration admitted that was wrong already. Geeze, you won't even let them admit to being wrong. They say "we were wrong" and you reply, "no you're right!" I'm just wondering, if we really think they were there, and have been moved, why aren't we showing more concern over where they are now? Caution is good, but in hindsight, they weren't in any real danger. Still, it is good we had the troops protected just in case. We know we know, long fight, never-ending. That's the problem with fighting a war on a word, how are you gonna end it when noone can forget the word? It's not as if terrorists are are of one nation, creed, or color. White Supremacists are terrorists. Irish Catholics are terrorists. Columbian drug lords are terrorists. Jews are terrorists. Americans are terrorists. Muslims are terrorists. When it comes down to it, there's a terrorist in every society and at the same time not all of the people of any one society are terrorists. So, ok, let's end terrorism, the only way is to use the nuclear capabilities we have to their fullest extent and end this world. Yeah, but it is kinda funny. I almost choked once, I laugh at it now. I'll take those together. No, I don't believe veteran's benefits have gone up. As for no child left behind, well, it's been horribly underfunded and then again that doesn't exactly fit with your whole small gov't theme, do you really consider it a great program? If it's fully funded it will be more big government bureacracy mixing with the education of our children. So do you really think this is good or are you just being a Bush's Advocate? I think the inspectors we sent (namely Kay) determined that they were helium trucks for filling weather balloons. Tax cuts shouldn't borrowing against the future earnings of our children so a fat cat can retire with one more plasma tv and a new porsche for his beach house. No comment Here's the record of your next candidate Voting No to: F14, F15, F16 fighter jets / did he vote for another fighter maybe? Or did he propose fighters be scrapped altogether? M1 Tank/No nothing about this. Cruise and tomahawk missiles/Once again, little knowledge Mandatory sentencing for drug dealers selling drugs to children/Was he voting specifically on a "drugs to children" measure of was it a widesweeping bill? While I'll agree that selling drugs to kids is bad I also feel that mandatory minimums are heinous (many law enforcement officials and judges agree with me on this). Sometimes circumstances ameliorate the situation, sentencing is supposed to be the duty of the judiciary, legislation to the contrary takes away a Consitutionally guaranteed separation of power. Death penalty even for cop killers/A lot of catholics, jews, muslims, hindus, well, a lot of very faithful individuals would vote against this too. Pro life/Not gonna touch this with a ten foot pole Tax cuts/Good for him Conservatives by nature don't rock the boat; they sit back and just tend to take things. Not the case anymore we're going to be liberal’s worst nightmare. Conservatives that stand up and yell for what they believe in./so what, you're saying that in reality Republicans want to shake things up and that George is a true man who's just waiting till he doesn't have to play politics anymore and then he'll realy ravage the nation? Again, I gotta ask, A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT? REALLY?
benny replied to quade's topic in The Bonfire
Oh but they can, and they have, and it's all about manipulating the language to encourage society's view of homosexuality as being perfectly acceptable and normal. "Gay" . . . "Homophobe" . . . and now . . . "Marriage" . . . Personally I've never understood what normal heterosexual guys have against homosexuality. From my perspective anyway, I don't want a girl who likes chicks in reality so I'd rather her be free from pressure to choose a male. As far as guys are concerned, the more gay guys, the less competition for me. It's got nothing to do with natural or not. we jump out of airplanes, that's certainly not natural. benny replied to quade's topic in The Bonfire
This whole thing just brought me to the realization today that the government should completely separate itself from the business of "marrying" anyone, whether it be man and man, woman and woman, or man and woman. Issue certifications of contractual partnership and that's it. "No, you're not married, go to your priest, rabbi, sheik, whathave you for that, this is the government." Never go to a DZ strip show. -

Ah yes, the Neville Chamberlain "appeasement" strategy of avoiding war. We all know how well that one worked... Hmm, I happen to think there are areas in between saying "no don't worry, we won't bother you, what your doing is fine" and "let's rumble". I realize that it may be difficult for some to recognize gray areas, or steps in between but they do exist. It's like, to use another skydiving analogy, my hard-deck, as an unlicensed student was explained to me to be 2500 ft. Now if I see cutting away under 2500 to be "wrong" in black and white terms, what happens to me when I have unlandable line twists occurs at 2000 feet? I digress though, apparently you didn't see the rest of my post about "speak softly...." I see Bush as having the personality of the yippy little dog whose bark is larger than their bite with the dumb luck(?) to actually have the means to destroy the entire world. For clarification sake, bold was added by me and any bold in this post has been added by me. In response to the first bolded remark. Once again, are you kidding? I guess you answered that, you are kidding. Of course it's negativity to imply that if you weren't in power, if the other guy was, well, he'd just let you die. This is ludicrous. The fact of the matter is, and I think we all should realize it by now, the "war on terrorism" will never be won. Never. It's like the war on drugs, or the war on any non-specific entity. You just can't wipe it out. Maybe possibly there is a .00000000001% if we lock the borders and impose martial law and revoke all of the freedoms which we have ever enjoyed. Even then it's not likely. Bush has no real plans to end terrorism because it cannot be ended and the only purpose of his rhetoric is to further an atmosphere of fear in this nation which is solely self-serving. In response to the second bold. I'm not quite sure what a year will change... maybe then I will be jaded by your mockery and will have ceased to even bother stating my views on the issues. Maybe more jumps will make me less afraid. Wait, I'm not all that afraid of terrorism as it is. Maybe it's from having lived in a nation where terrorism is truly a daily threat. Maybe that's why I think people who believe Bush is the only one who could keep them safe are just being silly. Maybe that's why I think there are much more important issues in this election. Who knows? Never go to a DZ strip show.

Well Rick, I for one feel that my own safety is better promoted by a leader who doesn't take actions to provoke those who already are or are on the brink of hating us. "Bring it on" might be a good rallying cry for the troops themselves but said in front of the global media? Let's think about what he's saying: "Go ahead, attack us. Please attack us. We'll kick your ass, sure you may kill some of our citizens but in the end, we'll kick your ass." This president simply has a problem with, rather an absolute lack of diplomacy. "Speak softly and carry a big stick." GWB wasn't paying attention to the speak softly part. Never go to a DZ strip show.

I typically find your posts to be insightful and respectful but with this you've got to be kidding. Bush has based his entire reelection campaign (which I would argue started on 9/12/2001) on the premise that "you'll die unless you keep us in office". He and his supporters have basically claimed ever since 9/11 that they are the only people who could possibly keep us safe, how is that for a "tone"? Never go to a DZ strip show.

My first "serious" girlfriend, from my freshman and sophomore years of college... I had always heard how the man finished first and the girl was unsatisfied... I felt like the woman in the relationship. It hardly took anything and she was through, she'd get tremendously sensitive afterwards (everything "tickled" her) and I was just like, "what the hell?" I'm nowhere near done. But at the same time I've been with a girl who I tried every trick in the book on and I couldn't get it. I think most times whether they can get it or not is more psychological than technique related. Never go to a DZ strip show.

The issue of voting against increased defense spending is not really a question which gives any insight into the actual support of our troups. As we know, or as we should know, the Pentagon is not exactly what we would call "frugal" and often cares more for spending money on new "toys" then paying the men and women who put their lives on the line. Defense Dpt. Supports cut in hazard pay to troops stationed in Iraq At the same time they don't mind breaking treaties and spending billions in order to develop systems which would most likely only serve to spark another nuclear (nukular for you Bushies) global dick measuring contest. The question is not whether Kerry voted to increase or decrease defense spending. The question is whether or not we can trust any of these schmoes to make wise choices in their defense spending or if they're just choosing to increase said spending for projects which will do little to increase our safety but much to fatten the wallets of their buddies. when did your latest skydive take place ?

Yesterday, perfect weather at West Tennessee, pre-second and second solo ever. Pretty odd hopping out of the plane with noone but the pilot left in it. Figured out that I was capable of jumping without being "shamed" into not riding down! Never go to a DZ strip show. -
Maybe Soros could do the same? Soros has already come out in support of tax increases which would lower the deficit, and he's spending his money supporting candidates who would do the same. Note, Soros is spending his own money not the dollars of people who stand to gain so much more than they could contribute under current campaign finance laws from the Bush admin. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Maybe he should give it to some hardworking Americans who have lost their jobs. Maybe he should give it to the people who lost their retirement savings from his buddies' misdeeds with Enron. Maybe he should use it to pay down the national debt or even just fund the war he's conducting in Iraq. Oh wait, I forgot that's his money, how dare I say how he should spent it. I just can't understand why people are so hung up on words. It's like the whole obscenity, "7 words you can't say on television" crap. Marriage is a word to describe a union between two (presumably of the opposite sex) people which can be broken by none other than death itself. Apparently the heteros (I love you my peeps) don't show much respect for it. So, if I stub my toe does it matter if I say fuck or fudge when the meaning is the same? Same for marriage, get over it, it's language, it doesn't really matter. If you have a problem with the meaning that's one thing and you can debate that to eternity but you've got a problem with what they call it? Gimme a break, call fuckmeupthegoatass for all I care. WTF? Ciels- Michele Whhaddya mean WTF? This is what you want isn't it? Or are we feigning impartiality again. We all know that if the people who voted for Nader in Florida in 2000 had voted for Gore, we wouldn't be having this discussion... so, call George, I'm sure he's got some boys who will be happy to give Ralph some money under the table. Then he can take away just enough of the democrats ultra-left support that we'll have another four years of GWB. In the meantime, I'll take the suggestion of a PM I got and move to France.... If I can only find a girl there who shaves Never go to a DZ strip show.

Perhaps the purpose is to compare Heinz's incredible success as a corporation, with the record of the companies that GWB ran into the ground despite having family money pumped in to them. Would YOU invest in a company that had GWB as CEO? Uh, I think the answer to this question is quite obvious. I think it's very funny that the campaign in 2000 concentrated on the fact that Bush was a businessman and would run the country like a business. Turns out he's run it just like all the other businesses he ran, with revenues falling far short of expenditures. Did they really teach him that this was good business practice at Harvard or was he maybe asleep? Never go to a DZ strip show.

Probability Risk of Skydiving vs. Driving a Car
benny replied to Hazarrd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey benny, This only applies if you are driving 2-lane rural roads.. OK, I guess no freak voodoo statistics stuff applies, I've only got about 50 miles of two-lane roads on my DZ trips. So I guess my jumping is statistically still more likely to kill me, but have you seen the way I drive? Never go to a DZ strip show. -
Deans campaign fell apart almost overnight. It's a little early to be celebrating. Oh things can change but what this really goes to show is that people have finally started to question the policies of this administration. I personally have talked to more than one or two people who voted for GWB in 2000, many of whom are traditional Republicans, and they don't like him one bit and won't make the same mistake twice. Last I remember there have been people that ALWAYS question his policies, including his election as president. I know there has always been a faithful few who have keep up the good fight. But sometimes it felt like a cry in the wilderness. Apparently some folks are starting to listen. Never go to a DZ strip show.
