    you crack me up. How is that in any way relevant or close to comparing apples to apples? It's apples to apples to me. Just because someone doesn't see the value in owning guns they want to take them away. I know lots of people that would deprive us of skydiving for the same reason. The second ammendment doesn't differenciate between want and need as far as I can tell. That whole necessary for the upkeep of a well-regulated militia thing, yeah I'd say that's more need than want.     Look, I honestly like guns. Hell, post 9/11 I'm really glad that rednecks have guns because I feel like said good ole boys are going to be the last line of defense when the government basically begins to lock down all our freedoms in the name of "security". But it's complex, I'm also for this ban because I don't think just any schmoe from the street should be able to own a weapon capable of mowing down lots and lots of people in a short amount of time. I'm really torn by this issue, but I'm not sure what the answer is. I don't think you should ban all guns, but at the same time there has to be some sort of point at which we say no. Under the most widespread interpretation of the second amendment we should be able to get our hands on some ICBMs as well. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Howie's a big gun owners rights kinda guy, and he likes universal health care, and environmentalism, and acceptance of others, and not going to war under false pretenses...     I must admit I'm having a little trouble understanding what your saying, maybe it's just me. So, Bush graduated second in his class from Yale? Was that what you meant... well I must admit, I'm impressed and if that's true, I'll stop calling him a dumbass. Masters in Economics? I was pretty sure it was a MBA... maybe I was wrong, I better go check, not that it really matters. He's one of the wealthiest businessmen in Texas hey? Well, that's something to be proud of accumulating all that wealth while driving the businesses he ran into massive debt and into the dirt. Oh, with the exception of the Texas Rangers whose stadium he funded out of the wallets of the taxpayers. They touted how he was a businessman, when you do business the way he does it's not something to be proud of. If they wanted a businessman president we'd be much better off with Jack Welch.     Lee, you'll recognize that nowhere in my post did I ever say that I agreed with the new voting system that is about to be put in place. For one, the lack of a paper trail means it would be very difficult to sort out if any election ever was disputed. I was merely noting that you are blaming this move on the democrats whence it was not the Democrats in control. You just want to blame them for everything. Never go to a DZ strip show.

    OK, let me clarify, I am not mistaken, but as you noted there is a difference between a traditional conservative and those in power today. But I think most picture people like GW when they think of a conservative. I apologize that your word has been bastardized. But by those (old) definitions I'm a conservative, what gives?
