Well, if it's military contributions that we base the worth of universities on than I'd say the University of Chicago or the Cal system beats anybody from Texas hands down, considering that whole nuclear bomb thing. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Yeah, I just recently pied someone using the cheap stuff... The next week he comes into the DZ and sits down next to me... I'm thinking, "dude, did you f$%ing bathe? cause that shit smells nasty!" Turns out it was his freefly suit, which was pretty much new... It still smells like a month and a few washings later. Someone remind me to get the hell out of my freefly suit some 57 jumps from now. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Funny, an entire article about Condi Rice's testimony and not one direct quote from Condi in the whole thing. Was this really about Condi Rice or Boortz's constant lib bashing. I know an AFF student who chopped on level three (this was actually like his 10th jump I believe) because of a stuck toggle. Anyway, he pulled through just fine and will continue his training. Personally I kinda look forward to a cutaway. I'd like to know that I can handle it. Right now although I want it I'm afraid of it, much like I was the first jump. Now I know I can do it (sort of) and I want to know I can still do it when the sh!t hits the fan. Never go to a DZ strip show.

You're right, productivity growth is outpacing GDP growth and therefore the rich can get richer without emplying any more grunts, as one grunt now does the work the two previously did. However, outsourcing, or more generally "free trade" is a problem when borders are closed. We free up one side of the equation (corporations, employers) but continue to impose restrictions on others. Never go to a DZ strip show.

See, if we started doing that, then the whole world would say, "Take a look at yourself and tend to your own." If we were really able to play a free market, and pull out all the stops...oh how I wish... A true global free market means completely open borders. The real problem with outsourcing etc. is that you and I can't just up and move to India or wherever where wages and cost of living are both significantly lower than they are here. Sure Indian programmers may only demand $11 an hour but 11 an hour there is living fairly well... As long as labor suppliers (you, I and everyone else) are restricted, we will be treated unfairly and global markets will not clear. Never go to a DZ strip show.

So you have no problem with Barny Fife coming in to your house, searching high and low, in your couch cushions, through you panties etc.... for no reason at all? This shit is ludicrous. Living in a police state is not what the founding fathers wanted. We need to stand together and fight this stuff, whether it's drugs or guns they are looking for, they should not search without probable cause, and last time I checked using electricity was a normal activity. Regulation. If the regulation is in some way skills based then I guess I'd say ok. I know I'm so new that I don't even have a right to an opinion but in my point of view arbitrary jumps numbers are simply bullshit. People do learn at different rates. To deny this is to claim that all humans are the same. Of course there should be a natural progression but for some this progression may be quicker than others. We've all heard from people who have thousands of jumps and haven't highly loaded or jumped crossbrace, it just isn't there bag baby. That doesn't mean it's not anybody's bag, just not theirs. Never go to a DZ strip show.

I'd suggest AFF. A former military static line guy did some AFF at my DZ this weekend. But I'm a newbie or whatever but an airborne should have knowledge of canopy control, go for AFF. La, I'm drunk, don't listen to me. I have only 36 jumps, listen to me even less!

Altitude: 14k Jump No.: 24 Aircraft:FIJI AIR BABY! Otter style! Description: 2 way belly flying with SunMan (not of DZ.com). This dive was fun, but that's about the only thing that went right. Ended in my first off landing in a field surrounded by trees and power lines (yes it really was my best option). Anyway, no problem though, stood it up and I'm buying beer this weekend. Never go to a DZ strip show.
