I can relate to your fear. I used to hesitate when I was AFF and learning with a Cessna 182. Then my whuffo brother-in-law made a comment to this. "Judy, it's just like going from room to another." That made a huge difference. Another thing is that when I visualize the dirt dive.. I visualize the "feel" of the wind. Something like this, "the wind will feel strong. it will hit me on the face. I have to hold on but get in place." I know it's simple and maybe silly but talking about..making it real..made it less scary. When I am outside float, and I am waiting out there. I smile and say "Hi friend! yes, this is what I knew you would feel like." Find some way to confront and be friends with that door. Without it we would never have the joy of being a skydiver! IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

"The AFFIRC (change to COACH) is so easy I can't believe everyone doesn't have the rating". Yes I heard this alot as well.. I am going to do 150 jumps between now and Nov..focusing on this one thing... thanks

What else can I say/?? Sure you want to hear?? Men from RI last longer than the energizer bunny. They know what women are all about. They aren't scared to ask what I like..and I don't feel less for answering them. Men from RI aren't afraid to say what they think and feel. That's what Jay Stokes kept saying ...over and over during the recently completed coach course at Perris, CA. And now that I have passed said course.. I am saying the same thing.

Having a FB..isn't just about turning part of your feelings off. It's more like channeling them were you want them to be. With a FB y-o-u are in charge of those feelings that lead to 'wanting more.' I do have feelings for my FB but I understand the limits and was willing to live within the boundaries. It wasn't easy at first. But I didn't see him all the time and that helped me. The best part was when I got to the point that I understood why he liked the emotional distance. When I had a really bad day...patients out of control, kids demanding, contracts falling apart etc, all I had to do was make a call and find a night we were free. That gave me something to look forward to...no huge involvement other than enjoy myself with him. I like the man he is..then and today. The best part.... we are still friends but not FB.

we have much in common..except 'my' tree was an oak one.. but 2 years later...they all still talk..inlcuding my kids. IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!
