i just read the article from the link..... sounds like an ambulance chasing attorney with clients who wanna take advantage of the situation... become part of what you KNOW could become a mob...... and you take your chances.. not much different than a RAVE which goes bad, and people get HURT.... and then the WILLING participants start looking for some way to exploit the situation...for $$$$$$$... don't think so much about "putting the stacked canopy into the d bag".... think about "snatching the D Bag Around the stacked canopy".... In other words. reach under the canopy to the bag, and while keeping a knee on the material, Yank the D Bag, under the stack, so that the locking stow grommets have come out on the opposite side... Then do up the first stow, ,, stuff the corners, do up the second lock stow, stuff the rest, and you're good to go... the key is to let up JUST enough with your knee, to allow the bag to encircle the stack.. sort of like when a magician Yanks the tablecloth out from under the entire table setting of china and silverware...

That video was scarey.... the chuteless jumper just LIES there,,,, relying on the Mr.Bill Guy, to dig the harness connecting points outta his shorts, and hook em up????? whoa... That was quite the ballsy stunt.....since the chuteless jumper has little to NO control ,on the safe connection OCCURING....Just what WAS the back-up plan???? Check out the video at roughly the 2 minute mark, when pastrana has just exited.... SOMEthing flies off him.... Not sure about having stuff getting loose,,,, on what I would think,, is a well thought out skydive...Plus .. the solo diver, nearly flies right back INTO the pilot chute toss...... YIKES.... roasted brussels sprouts, salt pepper thyme bacon trimmed of the Yucky part slow cooked. yams with sliced apple, cinnamon,cloves and maple syrup...marshmallows on top... JUST got finished browning them.... You MUST watch them, carefully, since they go from toasty to burned....fast FAST.. kudos to the internet for the recipes... a dear sister -in -law will host dinner and roast the Turkey... i always try to arrive with platters in hand.....

... right... it's NOT a situation if you are able to intervene,, even just 2 or 3 seconds BEFORE.....IT would become reality... and that goes for many many "chains of events " which CAN be headed off, if we stay on TOP of things... Such occurences WILL happen,,,,sometimes in freefall, or under canopy, and for sure,,,, while landing,,,,,even while packing... this sport requires that the jumper Controls the jump and not the other way around.. sure. S *&T happens,,,, but only if you LET it... if you can recognize it, and prevent it.... that would be best...always try to be in charge of your own skydive.. j

yes... your instincts are correct... NEVER,,, never,,, 'wait for the cypres' to fire... how humiliating would THAT be.......??? i had a jump a while ago, where i could not get my main P C handle........ ( tried to find it THREE times and could not reach it... ( first day coming back, off a wrecked right shoulder..) i KNEW i was getting waaaay low,,,, and Yes, even while at terminal and already busting 2000 feet,,,absolutely the realization that i was "aad equipped" flashed through my mind... MY response????? BEAT that cypres to the punch !!!....... and I did, coming in and pulling my reserve handle MYSELF.....I knew it was wrong to continue trying for main...at that point, since for sure,, i wouldda had a two-out....... the reserve slammed open, and i noted that i was right around 1,200 feet.... BUT i was safe, was under canopy, was lucid, and was able to watch my freebag, til it landed... My buddy landed next to me shortly after I touched down,,, and the VERY first thing i asked him was,,, "Check my reserve pack tray....?? Is my closing loop cut??? Did my Cypres fire"??.. he looked, and reported, "it did Not" i was certainly pleased about that......I have since switched to left hand main deployment,,, B O C ... so IF a jumper KNOWS they are low, AND they have an AAD... AND they let that thing fire...... THAT would show very VERY poor judgement... IMHO Jmy a 3914 D 12122

do..... prepare your cameras ( batteries Tapes lenses cam eye etc, ) well ahead of time...use a checklist approach, to gearing up, and donning the camerahelmet... be sane , sober, and considerate of colleagues AND customers learn and USE the name of the tandem student, as you become part of the team,,,,, which will document what could be, the most exciting thing,, that person has done , in a looong time. Don't........ be late to the boarding area,,, be a smart ass,,, or wise-guy,, cracking rude jokes,, using sarcasm, or ANY sort of innuendo or fearmongering.. ( save THAT for the 4 way team ) put yourself or ANY part of the team ,. or Anyone on the lift,,,, in jeopardy...by your positioning, or desire to "get creative"... many more... but Spot only asked for three... jmy A3914 D12122

silver here..... right shoulder got yanked,,, as a pre gripped 6 way. left the tailgate of a casa @ 14 grand... one of the 6, had a legstrap which "hung Up" on something, ( Later found to be a static line , cable connection point ) , just as we squeezed in the door... it caused the entire 6 way to tumble . some did NOT drop grips.... the ball of the humerus was laying against my ribcage, and the hand and arm were flapping around over my head....... figured out by about 8 thousand feet,, that i would not be able to deploy my main... opened my reserve at 3 grand or so, after a "one handed wave off"....E R Nurses and ortho Doc. reset it for me..... surgery 3 months later,,, was not as effective or helpful as we had hoped, the R Cuff had been torn, and hurt a few times prior....it was and IS a real mess.... STILL do stretches and excersizes,,,, the arm is strong, but my reach and range is limited,,, Now use left side Main deployment...made about 60 jumps that way,,, this year..

.... not bad...... and for sure Number ONE invention in the "complicated " category... now in the "simple " category.??? it HAS to be the " bamboo back scratcher"... jmy

Yes it's cool when it's done by professionals (including the passenger). Same with jumping with stuff like cars, bikes, beds, small canoes etc... ... Key word..... COOL>>>>>... you know,,,,, like in a morgue... how is it ?????.... that something which quite Likely, is the most Exciting thing most people ever DO!! ?? in their mundane lives???? needs to be "spiced Up" and "tinkered with".... to make it MORE exciting/dangerous......??? please leave tandem jumping alone,,, and seek out some OTHER means of getting your heartbeat racing..... I DID see the videos of people hanging from a Tandem student harness,,, while another Thrillseeker, is breakdancing with the drogue bridle... and at the same time,,, kicking his feet alllll over the backpack where there just happens to be,,, TWO closing loops,, one securing a main, the other a SPRING LOADED reserve pilot chute...., Not to mention,,, NO headgear protection for the Guy who is expected to eventually DEPLOY the main.... >>>>> but yesss... if YOU think it's safe... then it MUST be... hahaha.. what the hell is becoming of my beloved sport????.... never enough now, never enough now,, Is this WHOLE issue, a culture thing???? we do things one way,,, others elsewhere on this planet, wanna do it ANOTHER way???? sorry that i "don't get it ".... jmy
