  3. We Love the look the feel and the aroma of a live tree and while the kids were younger,, sometimes went to the Tree farm and worked the saw,, in shifts,,, to cut one down....
  4. thanks... my whole family has been waiting for this... My son thinks that Ken jennings should franchise himself,,,, and Take on all challengers.... on a program a bit like "win ben steins money" .... My MOM was on Jeopardy.. In 1967... when it was filmed in New York City.... NBC studios,, Rockefeller plaza..... the prices went from 10 to 50 $$$$.. for the first round,,, and 20 to 100 $$$ for double J..... back then everyone kept what they won,,, and the winner returned... She won her first game,,, 670 dollars,,, and took second in her second game.. 600 dollars...( back in the day when gasoline was 0.33 cents a gallon,, and bread was 35 cents a loaf!!!!) She was correct on both Final Jeopardy questions,,, but was outscored on her 2nd game..... We were sooooo proud of her....
  5. .... i think It is BOTH Creation AND Evolution.. Only by " Creation" I mean the simple formation of the basic building blocks of life.... Elements, Molecules, Compounds... Some Huge All Encompassing,,,, and very very BUSY Entity.... ( that's why God seems to never be around..... It's a BIG Universe,, and He/She is busy ) .....got the ball rolling.. But then,,, at least on Our particular celestial Body,, that Energy Entity stepped back and let scientific processes simpy occur....... So the creation really was NOT of HUMAN BEINGS .... as they are today....... The creation ( at least in the case of the planet Earth ) was more analogous to the tossing of all the ingredients into a huge basket,,, the addition of solar energy ( the sun), and electro chemical energy ( lightning) coupled with TIME and LOTS of it..........and then NO furthur Input by the Creator. Once the ingredients were together,,, physics, science, photosynthesis miosis and mitosis took off....... Life developed along thousands of branches of the tree ,, some forms of which existed for billions of years,,, some for millions, some for less...... The way i see it.... "Evolution" per se.... refers to only the last 15 million years or so and only in reference to the Human species... While it is true that most all forms of plant AND animal life can trace a path backwards in time,,( or can be said to have evolved) , and while all these forms of life have each followed their own path...... the term "Evolution".... speaks mostly to the species Homo Sapiens sapien...... I do trust that fossil specimens, properly interpreted and accurately dated... do build a logical and acceptable explanation for how Humans of today, came to be,,, and how we have changed from earlier hominid forms,,,,progressing in size, sature, socialization patterns, communication skills, cranial capacity and the ability to exploit the environment,, ..to become what we see today in the year 2004 A.D. the "intelligent" species of Modern Humans...
  6. ...I'll second that.... Not only do i recall EXACTLY where i was when JFK was killed.... I also remember when he was elected... times certainly HAVE changed.... i'd be willing to bet that who ever came up with this entrepreneurial "game"..... wasn't even on the planet.. during the 1960s...... such a lack of respect......in an effort to generate revenue.... .... well THAT'S Capitalism for ya'.........
  7. bravo... to whomever designed built and installed the Nosewheel assembly....
  8. It WAS .... a great game...,,, (except for the A & M fans....)... tough finish,, tough loss.... # 22 vs. # 2.. I was checking out the games on cable,, when I came accross this one... 10. ........... it's really not that heavy. And,,, as i assembled it,, i was very careful to keep it balanced,,, that is the key..the large, flat mounting plate on top,, offers a lot of adjustability in terms of where the cameras can be mounted. yes the current helmet IS a bonehead BatRak.. The securing clips, One on the back,, and a pair on the chincup,, allow for a nice solid and snug fit.... The one camera is a Sony VX-1000 3 chip.. the other is a dcr-trv 20,,, recently replaced with a dcr HC-85...with .45 wide angle.... the reason for two,, IS for back-up,,, and to assure that i never have to tell a tandem student,, " soorrrrry... something glitched"..( yes sometimes THAT happens to one camera or the other...) plus I get two views of the same skydive,, one closer than the other, giving me some editing options... ( yes I do burn through a lot of tapes ) As for openings,,, no problems. I'm a tough old dog plus I jump a sweet opening PD spectre 210... Sometimes ,, if I am IN a skydive, say in the base 4 or base 6, ( I almost Always wear cameras on fun jumps as well as work jumps) I'll set the smaller camera up,,,, facing backwards..... makes for some neat shots of people exiting behind me, or docking on my legs....
  11. old set up is first..... current helmet is second jmy
