  1. Being a right wing Trump appointment of mercenary allegiance he would say that, wouldn’t he? Funny thing isn’t that if he wasn’t a Trump appointment he’s probably oppose it himself. “Mulvaney, previously a stalwart deficit hawk, became a proponent of large federal deficits after his appointment to the Trump administration.” Do you want to have an ideagasm?

How does it feel to be a walking demonstration of the Pavlov response? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

No, silly, that’s a rookie mistake. You can’t take any old American people and call them the American people. The people voting no, they’re just those people. The real Americans, the people, they’re yes all the way. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  4. Is it any real surprise? He might seem like a breath of fresh air compared to the last one but at the end of the day, you don't get to be Chief of a backwards, reactionary, mysoginistic, totalitarian institution governed by a 1500 year old byzantine bureaucracy without accepting many of those traits. But you just praised him on sounding good (in your very strange opinion). There’s absolutely no evidence that what Trump wants to do (if you could ever nail him down on what exactly that is) actually works. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Here is a descriptive article on why "it don't mean nothin'" "It's the economy stupid." And yet there were loads of things about Obama that really meant a lot to you that had nothing to do with the economy. Hell, most of them were imaginary and they still meant something to you. You got the ‘stupid’ bit right though. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  7. Nice try. From the beginning of this thread of conversation you have been talking about elected politicians. They do have actual authority. That's literally what the elections are for - figuring out who gets the authority. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  8. Russia's and ours are maximized and calibrated to detonate at altitude for maximum damage. North Korea's is in the infantile stage, who knows what's going to happen. Could theirs detonate at the altitude you stated, or much lower? At any rate, it's definitely not like a giant TNT bomb, which will create a crater if detonated at ground level. The bombs dropped on Japan in the 1940s had altitude triggers. I think the North Koreans have probably figured it out by now. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  9. Yeah exactly! That’s what your posts do. They warn people off the ‘holy spirit’

"He suggested that Feinstein's decision may discourage potential witnesses from testifying before the Judiciary Committee.... Fusion GPS had demanded that the transcript be released." Co-operation will discourage potential witnesses from speaking? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  13. Like hermaphrodites, XXY syndrome, XYY syndrome, XX males and XY females? I guess that means Trump really is unstable. Good to see you've finally started accepting reality
  14. That’s because Trump is a problem that transcends D vs R. The issue with Trump is an issue of how the game if government is played by everyone. Dismissing the criticism of Trump as mere partisan bleating (even from someone you otherwise respect) is a sure sign that you HAVE picked a side. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  15. And is that bad? Is doing a bad thing only bad for the first person who did it? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  16. What do you think of Steve Bannon? Do you think there's a demonstrable precedent for him lying and shit stirring? Maybe through his work on Breitbart? Maybe on the political campaigns he's been part of? Tell us Rush - do you think Bannon is a stable, trustworthy person? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  17. Funny, the commission was stonewalled by most Republican states as well. What are they hiding? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  18. That's not what I said. It really looked like that's what you said. So for clarity - you do know that there are many news publications that are much more legitimate than Breitbart, yes? QuoteI was pointing out the obvious statement of "even more legitimate than Breitbart" and the political agendas of most opinion pieces as news. I genuinely can't parse that sentence. What are you trying to say? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  19. If you don't know that a more legitimate publication than Breitbart exists anymore, then you are simply a credulous victim of Trump's calculated attempts to denigrate the genuine news media in service of his own populist, demagogic agenda. Here's a WaPo article shooting down the credibility of Wolff's book, essentially defending Trump from several of its accusations. That's what a legitimate publication does. Whether it's truly what he thinks or not I have no doubt he's only saying it publically out of spite. However - if you were part of an administration that has somehow mnaged to engineer a situation in which Steve Bannon appears to have a stronger grasp of ethics than you do.... you'd have to be pretty damn embarrassed, right? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  21. Bannon was a nobody. He was only put on the Security Council to fetch coffee. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  22. I think 'trained' is underselling it. Sustained for more than a handful of minutes 400W is world class. For more than an hour it's approaching record breaking. Especially if the pilot's attempting to emulate the Grand Tour cyclists by stripping body weight as low as possible to get the watts per kilo up. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  23. What are places like Molenbeek, Belgium, like? Is Molenbeek, Belgium, a place where police won't go? Is it a place where cars are burned? I actually googled it to see if any politicians had been burned there and found this: "The popular notion that the area is a more brutal version of south-central LA is nothing short of vaudeville. In the weeks I spent here I walked everywhere, at all hours. I confess to having occasionally dawdled on streets with a reputation for petty crime, close to the Brussels-Charleroi Canal, effectively inviting trouble. While it's not an exercise I'd necessarily recommend, the worst that happened to me was that a woman stopped to offer directions." And Belgium is also, just so we're clear, not in the Netherlands. It is a different country. I wouldn't expect a normal american to know that, but I kinda hope the ambassador does. I don't get the point of your point. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  24. Oh the look on that reporters face. The sheer 'what the hell is with this guy'-ness of it. And Winsor, sure politicians lie. But they usually lie in the margins. About nuance, about debateable interpretations, about intentions, about things they hope people have forgotten... They don't lie about proveable facts. They certainly don't lie about facts that have just been proven in front of them. And this right here is no nuance, it's some 1984 level of expert falsifying. Honestly, to compare the Trump administration to most other elected officials because 'politicians lie' is to equate a man with a cold to one with bird flu because 'people get sick'. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  25. But you just said this is a not a tax cut. You just said that people were going to pay more federal income tax now because their state tax deduction is gone. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
