Joao Tambor & Juliana Se are on their way!
Bodyflight.Net replied to Bodyflight.Net's topic in The Bonfire
Sorry, that tunnel is in Tennessee. and IS NOT the tunnel to which I am referring. I am referring to Appalachian Amusement Center, only opened up to the public a couple of weeks ago.. we've been flying there since December. No suit or earplugs required here.. a very different experience -

No Fabian right now.. he is out of the country I believe currently. Yes they are simply fabulous flyers and great people! Joao is also bringing a couple of other 'suprise' guests with... they'll be here in the morning. -

Hello, I don't usually post here, so I hope I'm welcome Anyway, I have a group and we need to demonstrate the ability to practice 4 way RW in the tunnel. Unfortunately, this is not our discipline of choice and we don't really know HOW to demostrate 4 way RW. So, I'm asking.. if 4 tunnelrats were about to get in the air and demonstrate that it's big & plenty for 4 way.. what should we do? Specifics please! You know, like a series of manuevers that we could do and how they are done???? Can anyone here help?

Books that have changed you and your perceptions
Bodyflight.Net replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
at the very top of my list of recommended reading for growth is a 3 part series called "The Teachings of Don Juan" written by a reporter/author named Carlos Castaneda can't IMAGINE being me without having read them. Here is a very good online compilation of the several books which highlights some important parts.. doesn't begin to cover it though.. http://www.prismagems.com/castaneda/ you might need to special order but they can be found anywhere. -
Vertical Wind Tunnel in North Carolina
Bodyflight.Net replied to Bodyflight.Net's topic in Events & Places to Jump
we haven't had too many people over there yet since it just opened last weekend for saturdays only... don't know if you know Paxton Vineyard from the Freedom of Flight School in DeLand.. he came out and flew and loved it.. Joao hasn't come yet but is coming soon with Juliana in a couple of weeks.. it's basically been private until now.. but honestly, I don't care how big or fat you say you are.. it won't be any problem *unless I guess your 300lbs and short! You can expect it to be just like skyventure without the fluxuations so it's even easier for heavy people or groups. -
Vertical Wind Tunnel in North Carolina
Bodyflight.Net replied to Bodyflight.Net's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Well, it doesn't have walls and other than the beautiful view when your flying and the relaxed environment.. the airspeed and quality is basically the same/comparable.. although a little larger and taller. And the earplug noise thing too.. this is very quiet and feels JUST LIKE FREEFALL, especially since all you see is blue skies! -
Our online bodyflight course is pretty thorough.. other than actually doing it, I think you can LEARN it via online & reading.. that's why so many important flight related things are learned in seminars, classes etc.. same as cooking... follow the recipe at home in your own kitchen.. etc.. don't you think?

Vertical Wind Tunnel in North Carolina

videos are going on our site right now (look in the Galleries if your interested) and here's a couple of tiny photos just to show ya..I'm working on full size for our Photo Of The Week... hope you like them! -
we're at 130mph and not even turned up. Shouldn't be a problem no matter what your size here.. and it's very quiet, no earplugs are needed.. there's a sports bar right around the corner and a campground with cabins across the street! Let us know when you want to come on out!

If you don't use this ebay account then you shouldn't worry.. BUT I would so as Rev suggests.. login to your ebay account online, and check everything out. Contact ebay from the website, not through this email.. and let them know that way.

6 years ago, I took every class the UofPhoenix online offered for free... html, cgi, perl, web graphics, etc... and I still make a full time job of it... I can't imagine any class that wouldn't work online, UNLESS it was a foreign language that you couldn't understand by reading alone..

UPDATE It took "client" 2 days to figure out the website was down.. here's his reply to my notification. VENGEFUL RUDE & WRONG??? GEEZ.. just so you know what kinda gal I am.. here's my rebuttle he didn't request so now I feel horrible.. AND I lost a client.. of course one who doesn't pay me on time.. so no real loss huh?

Yeah John can run up the walls mostly at Flyway, but no I was actually talking about at SkyVenture like you were.. John was the original instructor who hired all the staff, trained everyone and worked with Bill to complete the whole procedure thing. It was certainly fun flying in there with paper still on the lexan, and in a new invention like that... but once the walls threatened to collapse on us, I just never felt the same again about SkyVenture.. ya know.. ? The N. Carolina tunnel IS open and available for booking... so no need to wait... it IS a reality! You can clicky my signature if you don't believe me.. we are booking time.. in fact, got students in a couple of hours!!! oh, and Phil & John are best best friends. Phil was actually THE FIRST PERSON IN HISTORY to WIN a Wind Tunnel Competition back in the early 90s.. he won 1st Place in the Singles Freestyle event and John & Chris Landon (owner of the N.Carolina tunnel) won 1st Place Doubles.. Maybe we'll see you soon!!!!!!

Priorities: Rig or Tunnel Camp
Bodyflight.Net replied to sum1mom's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Even this tunnelrat agrees, get the RIG I don't get to skydive much this year but I DO have an AWFUL PRETTY perfectly fitting Infinity waiting for my jump budget to replenish itself. I bought it cuz one cannot jump on rental gear alone! It's worth the wait.. I'm sure! -
don't mean to brag (ok, well yes I do) but John Suiter did.. we have video from before Skyventure opened in 98! Joao, Juliana, Fabian and even Sean are all good friends, and yes the ROCK in the tunnel!
