  4. Is it Hijacking if it's my own thread??? FLYANGEL2 FOR MOD OMG, I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD TYPE IN COLOR!!!
  5. and perhaps, here is where the REAL truth is behind it... honestly I'm sure giving it back wouldn't have been a problem at all if it weren't for the "method" they used to ask for it back!
  6. Your going along in life and one day you get an email from someone you haven't spoken to in a very long time, nearly a decade! They used to be a good friend, in fact you helped them get through their AFF training which created a special bond. In appreciation, they buy you a RIG as a gift! You were of course overwhelmed but appreciative and they insisted you deserved it! So you took it... Now it's MORE than a decade later, and you get the email! The email is very STRANGE in that it SUDDENLY demands the IMMEDIATE return of the RIG or there will be legal action taken. COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BLUE. The reasoning seems to be that they would like to now give it to someone else who somehow or another deserves it MORE than you do now. After talking to them on the phone they said, it was OK... they were sorry about the demanding letter and it's ok to keep it. Seemed to be wrapped up. Later that night, another email... they CHANGED their mind again, claiming the attorney told them to demand it back anyway. but you didn't take it seriously... You never thought it was a LOAN.. it was ordered custom fit for you, you picked out the colors, it's been yours for more than a decade! What's more is you've put hundreds of jumps on this rig... Then 3 more days go by and a new email comes, a "friendly reminder" to return it ASAP. Now it would seem that this isn't some kind of sick joke and the demands for the Rig keep coming. It would SEEM that legal action may be pending.... Now your halfway across the country from this person, who seemed to be your friend once. I GOTTA KNOW WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I couldn't believe when I heard this!!!! personally, I figure that it was a gift and that they don't have the right to demand it back! but perhaps I'm lacking some sort of hidden skydiver etiquette in my opinion?? What do YOU think? Pink Suits, Blue Skies & Fast Air, Dawn Suiter
  7. BUMMER!! I thought I'd finally found something to post about!
  8. I believe a solution to this problem would be a single thread, most certainly a sticky, called Sharing Tunnel Time. In it, you can post what your looking for and people can respond via PM. I agree, there is a need to hook people up and this is the logical place so it seems, but I also don't like it cluttering up the forum topics either. Pink Suits, Blue Skies & Fast Air, Dawn Suiter
  9. I was wondering... is this DZ near the wind tunnel?
  10. Hi Michael.. I've spent quite a few minutes flying at flyaway PF.. it's alot of fun and a great time. You can buy a book of 5 flights and get some good practice in. It's a relaxed environment and very beginner friendly. All the tunnels aren't the same.. Flyaway is a propeller driven tunnel and what that REALLY means is that the air is not solid and it's a bit choppy and USUALLY a bit slower than FAN driven tunnels. Fan driven tunnels like SkyVenture or AAC are much more efficient and produce FREEFALL like winds and are much more efficient for freefall training. The closest one to you for that is AAC in North Carolina, just one hour from Pigeon Forge. For a FULL experience, you should check BOTH of them out! Coaching is included in the price of flights at BOTH locations.. Remember, have fun!!! The greensburg tunnel is now in Houston Texas and is called Adren-L-N.. it will be (fingers crossed) at the WFFC again this year, so perhaps you can come on over and check that one out then.. and spend a day at the COOLEST convention ever!!! Hope that helps! Pink Suits, Blue Skies, & Fast Tunnels, Dawn Suiter
  11. Not yet! They announced a complex being built, but won't be completed until at LEAST 2007.. closest to you is on in Tennessee & one in North Carolina.. geographically speaking anyway! Try it.. it's fun!
  12. about the same really... but I work here all day long.. what's your excuse!!
  13. It depends on how much you want to tune your skills.. I think ANY amount of time is worth trying.. at least to see what you think. I always say to new students that the first 10-15 minutes is a "get to know you" period with the tunnel/the air & the differences from skydiving.. then you can start working on really learning some things..30 minutes would be ok.. you MIGHT notice a difference when you go jump again.. an hour would be better... even better than that.. go back more than once or twice in a month and you'll find you get LOTS better! 14. That's funny... I was afraid of the same thing when I made my post.. Wasn't sure if they felt that the amount of time flown was alot (an hour or two over 3 days?)... or the training itself was strenuous.. or were they talkin bumps & bruises... or what.. I just didn't know.. EDITED: I didn't think indoor or outdoor would have much to do with it.. but MAYBE??? Pink Suits, Blue Skies, & Fast Tunnels, Dawn Suiter
  15. 2 out of 2 females in my household have been the victim of a sexual predator.. I hate the idea that they can live anywhere, I am intimately familiar with the mentality of a child molestor and I know we're not safe. But they are everywhere.. so I moved out to the country (10 miles from everywhere) where I can SHOOT any S.O.B. that comes within 1 acre of me or my kid. POSTED!!! KEEP OUT!!! Pink Suits, Blue Skies & Fast Tunnels, Dawn Suiter
  16. I'm not sure I understand what your asking...? or if your speaking to me directly...?
  17. Well it looks like we'll be the only ones... I can't believe this though, c'mon guys, no one else is sharing this wonderful thing with the kids????? Pink Suits, Blue Skies & Fast Tunnels, Dawn Suiter
  18. Paige, I have a silly question perhaps.. but.... why are you guys so sore after a 3 day camp.. ??? Pink Suits, Blue Skies & Fast Tunnels, Dawn Suiter
  19. How many of you have passed this addiction on to your children or maybe little brothers & sisters??? Ok.. lets see them.. the future of flight is training today!!! wish I had a better camera.. and I wish there weren't so many darn clouds in the sky!!!! This is Lexi.. she's 10 years old, and has 35 minutes of solo time. She's flown in 6 different wind tunnels since she was 3, this year, we both plan to add AT least 3 more to our list on the way to JFTC!!!
