I know, I know, it's been a while.. but I still receive tributes, photos & memories.. updating the website keeps this pain pretty fresh in my mind & heart. Today I added a new photo of the Ash Dive from Rickster and countless tributes... I'm trying to keep updates to once a month because it takes so long to recover from the sadness..I can't do it every week anymore... there I am, long after finishing, just hitting play again on the song.. reading, over & over.. sometimes I think I'm still in shock.. and then I think about those who have joined him since... what an AWFUL YEAR THIS HAS BEEN!

Keith is picking us up at the airport.. so if there is a way around, leave it to the local huh?? We'll arrive so early a.m. I hope that helps.. but leaving to get back out, I guess we should start early for sure! Rox & I have 4 hours.. we'll fly for 1 or so and then visit with everyone.. then head back..before FLV even opens up! And yes.. the traffic can be crazy.. even more than when I used to work in Vegas!!!

Bummer, an hour wasted! You could've flown the wind tunnel!!! I'll be there for 4 hours at the end of this month in between changing flights.. you can bet I'll be flying most of that time while everyone else is waiting

I would do something very similar... I would buy a few hundered acres in the middle of now where.. heavily wooded.. at the center of it all would be an L1 VWT (of course) with multiple levels. surrounding the tunnel circle would be a series of public gardens and playgrounds for kids & pets.. from there imagine pie in slices.. each slice containing a well matched neighborhood of coordwood homes.. each 4 bedroom coordwood home would cost under 100k with the land, and all homes would be OFF THE GRID & completely self sufficient.. on the outskirts of the pie are varying public necessities, general stores, a small airport, school etc.. etc... population target 250 maybe...

well, that's no reason to have a complex!! you'll soon have 2 tunnels pretty close.. first New Hampshire... then eventually New Jersey!

I lived an hour from my husband almost our whole childhood... Illinois/Indiana then we both traveled & moved thousands of miles, crossing paths almost annually from everywhere from LA to Orlando.. then we met in SW Louisiana..& haven't been apart since really.....

easy!! she's still on student status.. with under an hour in the tunnel and only 1 visit... you don't want to give the girl a COMPLEX!!! BESIDES... vamp.. you had a turning issue, very common on first tunnel flights.. not backsliding.. you flew just like a skydiver.. legs out! Great job!

The Smoky Mountains of course!!! but still HAIL to colorado.. now I have two reasons to head out there!!! Endless skiing and a beautiful SkyVenture!!! Can't beat that!!! I've had 4 now... addictive.. no curious, unique & creative... yes do I want another.. yes will I get another... probably.. body art can be wonderful... it should be symbolic & special what you put on your body... added: This photo is of my 4 y/o eagle (my body removed).. the eagle represents me.. there is a feather also that the eagle dropped in flight (not pictured).. the feather represents my daughter.. if/when I have another child.. I'll get another feather..

I used to have tunnel dreams... my favorite was the one where Soldier's Field (football stadium in my home town) was one large wind tunnel, comprised of hundreds of tiny air columns which nearly connect.. connected enough to fly from one to the other... like an air hockey table..flying from the 50 yard line to the end.. too much fun!!!!! the others are all the same, I'm flying in whatever tunnel is most recent on my list and I can do ANYTHING.. EVERYTHING.. no limits.. like one of those hot shot flyers.. it feels so good in my dream!!

I drove mine for 6 months with the radiator & core constantly overheating so I had to drive with the heat on.. used to drive it up the coast every other weekend (LA to Morro Bay) for R&R.. never gave up on me, until the tranny took a dive at a stoplight

We had neighbors like skymamma's then we moved to the country & bought a house on 5 acres in the mountains... now the neighbors are great... they shit, they creep, but what would you expect from deer, racoon, possums and hawks!!!

honestly.. I have more fun GUESSING what they might say, what with my 1 year of french, german & being fairly fluent in spanish.. I can guess pretty close!!! with google I can right click & translate pretty easy.. no cut & paste!

ebay of course! Got one for my 10 y/o on there a couple of weeks ago for about $30 bucks with some other stuff too (helmet, goggles, etc) and paid for the freight on the lead so they threw them in free... (now she can fly closer to our speeds) I see these auctions all the time good luck!

the AAC tunnel (Appalachian Amusement Center) in NC is about to start what I call it's 'final' phase of testing, where they bring the motor up 50 more rpms, adjust the pitch on the blades and finish the interior chamber.. right now running raw it can exceed your requirements on cooler days.. but it loses alot of density in the heat (85 degrees and up).. so until they make the final additions to it, I would say it isn't quite ready yet but will be when they fully open by next spring. The largest flyer at AAC so far was a 6' 285lb guy but he was an experienced flyer. They also don't seem to care what you bring in or wear too much since there is no way to harm the wind tunnel.

I pay federal taxes, but that does not give me the right to sit around on idle hands and perfectly capable legs to wait for someone to 'rescue me'.. personal responsibility HAS gone out the window, I pay taxes for roads, schools and other crap.. I don't remember contributing to a "RESCUE FUND" and left with the options 1. Wait for the government to rescue me & possibly lose my life & my families 2. Load up the stroller, wagon, or backpack and start walking I choose 2. They couldn't evacuate 100K people without chaos? Then what is the evacuation plan for??? I think an intersting tidbit would be to know how many of those left in the city are on welfare. My GUESS is more than 75% of them.. in which case their mentality is let the government take care of me.. so I'm not surprised that they didn't help themselves MORE. I still can't STAND seeing perfectly capable people standing around, sitting around, men, women & children surrounded by debris & trash and not picking it up! My god! It's THEIR CITY.. they obviously don't have a sense of community, or responsiblity.. it's a darn shame. added: and if that is the case, why should we care more than they do? All I'm seeing on TV from the ugly people complaining is a sense of entitlement.. again, I'm not mad about the truly disabled or unable.. just the perfectly capable.. who could be HELPING now and STILL arent!!!
