  1. Not to be picky here but we are talking about "re-packs" not packing a reserve that has been used. Seems to me that a reserve that has been used should be re-packed right away and not wait for the end of the 120 cycle in the US.
  2. Any video will help but the main thing I have found is just keep your eyes on the aircraft. If you make sure you are looking for it you will automatically make your body do the right things. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  3. Given my tracking skills I'll be lucky to get to the building. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  4. Well there is a four foot deep pool next to the observation area. It would be worth a try. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  5. Well if the Kurds are your choice then we should invade Turkey too. Free Kurdistan! "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  6. An active in country resistence comes to mind. Not a bunch of fat old men in suits living elsewhere telling us their countrymen need liberating. And if we are going to remove all of the despots from power we have a long list to start working on. Oh wait they are not sitting on or near vast oil reserves. Well in that case let them crush their own countries. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  7. No more Chirstmas stamps then. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  8. Ridiculous but apparently true. See my post two above yours. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  9. Probably based on this. The state employs a different fuel tax instrument for propane, natural gas and electricity used in vehicles. Instead of paying the state motor fuel tax at the pump, owners of vehicles powered by these fuels are required to purchase an alternative fuel user permit on an annual basis pursuant to the Alternative Fuel Tax Act. The Act specifies a formula which determines the amount of the annual fuel use tax liability for three vehicle classes passenger cars, pickup trucks and buses and trucks other than pickups. The user permit is calculated by assuming a standard annual mileage of 15,000 miles which is divided by a fuel economy rating for each vehicle class, the result is then multiplied by the average state motor fuel use tax rate. Based on this formula, passenger cars require $142.00 user permits, pickups require $197.00 user permits and larger trucks and buses require $356.00 user permits. page 67 of this PDF So your bike is safe Bill. 10. My son just got back from school in Nebraska and said that if you purchase a hybrid their the state sends you a bill for the lost gasoline tax revenue! Can anyone verify this? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  11. Of all the places the government can spend my money arts seems to be one of the better ones. As I said earlier the trick is defining art. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  12. This concept makes a ton of sense. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  13. Safer until they're needed. - Jim So do you walk around the house with you gun strapped to your hip just in case the bad guys break in at any moment? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  14. I think authors/playwrites fall in to a different class because their work is readily distributed to the masses. Patron's of the arts can also be wealthy individuals so while the money may not have come from the government it still came from a small group of people. Who says Jack the Dripper is an artist? "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  15. Um, all gymnasts MUST be able to perform on all pieces of equipment. ... Hey don't confuse things with facts! How about all Olympic skiers must be able to compete in all forms of skiing from freestyle to ski jumping. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  16. I wasn't talking right or wrong or even saying if it should or shouldn't be done. Only that if it hadn't been that way we would not have a lot of the great art and music we do. I have no problem with my tax dollars being used to support the arts. The problem always becomes how do you define art? Personally I think it means something that not just anyone could do. I don't always like art I see but I can recognize the difference between talent and just throwing things together. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  17. Take out the "loaded" part of that sentence, and you have what I learned in hunter safety class at age 14. And this is why gun ownership should require training and a license. You learned the lesson as it was taught. Mr. Celebrity probably never heard the lesson. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  18. I used to have a retail store and if it is retailing for $19.95 it is probably wholesaling for about $10.00 so that is where the manufacturers expenses and profits are coming from. $5.00 of the wholesale price is going to the charity leaving $5.00 for manufacturing costs and profits. They are apparently making $1.50 profit so it costs about $3.50 to make the thing. Think about that next time you buy anything. edited to fix a typo. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  19. Historically art is government subsidized. With out the king, queen, church or some other patron much of the great art and music of the past would never have been created. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  20. I'm new to the sport and have low numbers and want to try it all but I have to completely disagree with this. It would be the same as saying all gymnasts must be able to perform on all pieces of equipment. What is the point? Why not require everyone to do X number of camera jumps? Throw in a few birdman ones too? I am a more accomplished driver because I can drive a stick but no requires that I learn it to get a license. Now if you want to add specialty ratings to the license that would be different. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  21. You are not trying hard enough. I had over $60K at one time. Trying to keep a failing business afloat with credit card financing. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  22. Don't want to spend full time at a DZ but one of these days I won't have to work any more and that will be cool. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  23. It is disgusting. It is also what happens when anyone vilifies the enemy. We convince ourselves that they are less than human so it no longer matters what we do to them. We wonder why they don't trust us? I have seen Polaroid photos from Viet Nam that are the remains of a VC soldier after he was dragged behind a jeep through the jungle and then burned with a flame thrower for the fun of it. All conquering armies have this problem. I suspect some British soldiers are doing the same kinds of things, they may just be smart enough to not take pictures. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  24. So no more slamming the insurgents in Iraq please "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
  25. My God a topic we can agree on! The article writer is clearly an idiot but it is his inalienable right to be an idiot. The sad thing is that he does have valid points but choose the wrong vehicle for delivering them. "Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening." -- Oliver Wendell Holmes
