I do tandems at Skydive Houston, and I was called on the carpet by mgmt one time for "barking" at students too loudly in the door. I never realized I might be offensive in my quest to have the student assume the correct body position before the plane flew off into BFE, so afterward I tried to remind the student in advance that I just might be yelling at them in the door due to the noise levels and their own sensory overload. I used to jump a pretty good sized full face, and I bought a drum case to put it in. Check out a musical instrument store. It served me very well for years.

The weight limit is 450 pounds with gear on Relative Workshop equipment. It depends on many factors. I would turn down someone who did not exceed the weight limit, but otherwise looked unfit. Anyone else have any cool stories about their parents jumping? My parents have seen me in this sport for 27 years, and still think I'm crazy. I MIGHT get one of my sisters to jump with me some day. I did a tandem with a jumper's dad, age 72, a couple of years back. We had a nasty spinner that I had to chop, but we still had a soft landing in front of the cheering section he brought.
