    Mothers Day weekend was my 27th in the sport. On this MD my daughter, Holly, birthed my second grandchild, Hunter.

    0:4 1/2 On Saturday holed up in a Motel in Nacogdoches, Texas waiting on weather so I could do tandems at the air show there. Sunday made 3 tandems and rode the plane down with a fear stricken passenger. One fun jump lurking a tandem. Learned the perfect C182 tandem exit from Donnie at Spaceland and put it to good use.     I use one of those wooden human figure dolls with joints. I used to have two of them hooked together in "tandem" to illustrate body position. Someone made off with them, though.     Numero UNO. First one. Jumpmaster was my co worker who had a hundred or so jumps and a C licesnse. FJC was sufficient and conducted over a two week period. On the jump, he put me out (on a cheapo round) short of the target on a windy day. I blew across a four lane hwy backwards and landed in a powerline in someones yard. I recall saying to myself, "I will NEVER do this again!!!) Oh well. Chit habben. When I finally did my Nekkid dive, it was on a round. I don't consider it dangerous because I had over 100 roud jumps.

    5:8 All tandems. Majority were heavy loads. Big guys over six foot and over 200. At least I have a Sigma 395.

    I was kneeling down getting beer poured over my head along with Doc Linden, one of my own first jump students. (Texas SCR ceremony) Rick Duran is another who made me proud. He must have about 8000 jumps; been on many world records, including the most recent in Thailand.
