  1. You left out "When he arrvied at the rendezvous location, police took him into custody." It's kind of a key detail. Ofcourse he left it out. That way he could get people who are just wanting to agree with him to follow blindly. That actually proves my original point. Spin like this is why I find this forum a waste of time. It kind of reminds me of when he was trying to equade a dying marine's heroic act to a healthy terrorist strapping a bomb to himself. I mean I can't believe he really believes what he is posting. I think he is far to intelligent to believe such nonesense. But he is extremely partisan. There is no escaping that. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 3. Since we are in the what if thread (contrary to whta some people seem to think): What if it started prior to the kid being 18? What if the advances from Clinton to Monica Lewinsky started when she she was under 18? Guess since there is no proof of that, it doesn't matter. Moreover, when was the last time someone was convicted for exchanging dirty emails. In case you are not aware, when law enforcement poses as minors to catch child predators, the inditement occurs after the law is broken and that is NOT at the time the email or instant message is sent, its at the time that they show up to meet with the presumed child. So I guess what we have here is a list of 10 Democrats that actually DID break the law and a Democratic leadership that basically didn't care. On the otherhand we have a Republican that DIDN'T break the law but did something enough below Republican standards that he felt he had to imediately resign. Oh and then there is Democrats who couldn't give a rats ass about anything other than getting elected trying to jump on the attack band wagon. This is funny because with their disgusting track record they would be doing themselves a favor by just keeping quiet, as the attacks coming from fellow Republicans would not be laughable, as they are when coming from Democrats. 4. but we are to believe that other dogs don't have an instinctive tendency to be more agressive? I don't think so. In case you thought that other website was biased here are the statistics 2004 for dog breeds with cases of dogs being dumped for agressiveness The 10 breeds most dumped due to aggression* are: 1. Maltese 2. Australian Cattle Dog 3. Fox Terrier 4. Alaskan Malamute 5. Rottweiler 6. Akita 7. Australian Silky Terrier 8. Old English Sheepdog 9. German Shepherd 10. Jack Russell Terrier http://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/2004/archives/2004/roadtests/others/dog_dumpage If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 5. I still have my gripes with the ranking. I think Dexter should have had second and Gunter should have had 3. But atleast Ronnie is dethrowned. I think giving him the title over Jay for the past 5 years has been all politics. Thats why I am so pleased this has changed. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 6. but we are to believe that other dogs don't have an instinctive tendency to be more agressive? I don't think so. Actually its true that some breeds tend to be more aggressive, just as some tend to like swimming in water more. Funny thing is though that people who know better and use real statistics to make up their mind are making different statements on the matter than the sensationalists reading a newspaper. More aggressive breeds are chows, Old English Sheepdogs Llasa Apso, Rottweilers, Chihuahuas Poodles Dashhunds. Notice Pittbulls have not been named. Its only the sensationalist that don't know any better that make ignorant statments against pittbulls. Here is a source to help educate http://www.dogobedienceadvice.com/which_dog_breeds_are_most_aggressive.php If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 8. So, your conclusion that pit bulls are no more likely to do harm is based on what? 3 instances. That is hardly convincing. What about the instances where it appears there was no mistreatment? It must all be a big conspiracy. No i think its a little bit more than just 3 isolated incidents. Its a 100% success rate on the breed where I know the dogs were treated well. My pitbull also has several litters of puppies and all the people who were freinds of my family that we kept in touch with had similar positive experiences with the puppy we gave them. For your case in which pitbulls turn out to be bad that supposedly had no mistreatement, I have also seen Labs that were raised nicely that turned out to be vicious. If you knew anything about breeding you would know that agression is something that could be found in any breed. A responsible breeder should know that when a dog like this is identified, it should not be used for breeding purposes. But if you wish to spout off ignorance on the matter and just bash the whole breed, since there is nothing I can do about, I will just hope that there are enough people who know better to make your ignorant opinion irrelevent. 9. Well then my appologies for the misunderstanding. I guess the that is another fault of PETA. As much as I wish there was a good sensible organization to protect animals, statements like these suggest to me there there aren't. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 10. So, there we have it! Pit bulls aren't lovable like other animals! Therefore, they are worthy of being destroyed. ------------------------------------------------------- You know sometimes, I think you are one of the more intelligible people here and then you go and make statements like this. I have no intention to sit and debate this all day long, so I will just make this post in response. Having had a pitbull (which was the most loveable dog I ever saw) for 15 happy years, I know that this statement is a crock. To go even further my sister has a pitbull that is 10 years old and with the time I spent around that dog is also enough to that your statement was a crock. Then there is my grandmother who had a pitbull that sadly died at 7 years old. But that dog too proved to me that your statement was a crock. Come to think of it your statement seems to be utter ignorance which I have heard time and time again by people who just don't know any better. Its true drug dealers and assholes who like to fight pitbulls tend to pick these dogs but the problem there is NOT the dogs its the OWNERS. Going by that logic one would want to make guns illegal because bad people might get their hands on them. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 11. Depends on if you beleive that dictatorships who have "elections" don't stuff the boxes. I mean, plenty of people think that elections were stolen here while under SERIOUS scrutiny from all kinds of media and politicians... what can happen in a place where the dictator controls the media and cracks down on dissent? But, hey, Jimmy Carter said it was straight... sooo.... But don't take my word for it... talk to some folks from there. Or an oppressed minority. How many victims do you need before you consider an "invitation" to be legit? We should ask the UN to set up a "HELP HELP I'M BEING REPRESSED!" hotline, right? That'd work. Buying votes with food and rounding up people to bus them to polling stations as long as they vote for Chavez doesn't really mean they know what's up. He relies on the ignorance of many to show that he has some support. On another side, he does have many rich supporters as well, because through his cronyism... they get richer. Don't think for a second that Chavez is a man of the people... he's lining his pockets, his friends' pockets, and trying to make himself a nuevo Simon de Bolivar. No. What shows that is the fact that Chavez put his supporters in charge of all the companies he nationalized and the country slipped to the bottom of the economic rankings. Economic status aside, his rich and poor supporters have shown that they are fully capable of fucking up their country. If the majority of people voted for Bush and he was able to purge dissent in congress and the senate... would you be okay with him changing the Constitution to allow himself to stay in office pretty much indefinitely? Thanks for saying what needed to be said. It is refreshing to see people like yourself proving that its not a given that people not directly effected by this are completely clueless/careless about it. 12. Nah, it was all good - It's O'Reilly, I TOTALLY expected that. :D I'll take the book plug, and will take that I didn't look horrible on TV. For me, that's a win. Besides, everyone knows that if you disagree with O'Reilly, he brands you anti-American and supporting the Taliban. Overall, I'll take it as a win. :) I think it was pretty clear that you disagreed with him, you just weren't rude about it. And by the same token he did NOT brand you as anti-American or with the Taliban. For what its worth I love Bill O'reilly and agree with him 95% of the time. In this case although I agreed with you, I still admire O'reilly for being able to disagree with somebody and still treat them with respect as he treated you. 13. Jimmy Carter is such a moron. Anyway to add to your point about the imaginary democracy there. http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Printable.asp?ID=14806 I am still waiting to hear when Hugo Chavez tries to rewrite the Venezuelan constitution to leave himself in control indefinately. We know Castro did this and Evo Morales has already been trying to in Bolivia. Then again as long as Chavez can keep stealing the elections he won't need to rewrite the constitution. 14. Its personal for me too. If you tell me that somebody is a fan, freind, student or even minimally a sympathizer of Castro, then you don't need to say anything else. Its enough for me to consider this person worthless and and deserving to be boycotted. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 15. Well, if the word had been spread, I would have done the same. I didn't know until recently that Chavez was cashing in on that. BTW. also circle K has dropped Citgo. http://sadbastards.wordpress.com/2006/08/21/circle-k-drops-venezuelan-owned-citgo-gas-and-goes-with-texas%E2%80%99-valero-energy/ If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 16. I don't mind when people are not that great at it and take longer. What really bothers me is when people think they are done parking and leave their front tire 8 inches away from the curb and the rear tire 2 inches away. Although from what I remember in Europe, some consider this an awesome parking job. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 17. You know, same here, no one has ever had the desire to simply start giving backing directions to me. Regardless if I had a trailer, parrall parking or anything else. I have, many times, asked for help. I'd much rather have help then run over another vehicle with my truck. Many times when things are that tight for parking, I'll gladly park somewhere else and walk a little bit. My truck is old and beat up enough that I'm not too worried about a door ding, but I don't like having to sqeeze in and out of my truck. I can't remember a situation where anybody gave me unrequested advice for parallel parking either but that was not the question or the point. I do see people doing it all the time and was curious how others feel about it. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. 18. Ok lets try to quickly explain the poll. This is referring to if you are parking or backing up. My position is clearly the first option and I will explain why. First of all, I don't mean to brag but I have never met somebody who could parallel park better than me. I am not saying they don't exist. But I can undoubtedly say that I don't need anybody's assistance in this. Now on occasion in a really tight space I will ask my girlfreind to get down and give me hand signals, so that I can carefully postion my rear bumper over the hood of the car behind me, without touching it. But as you may imagine being able to judge this from the drivers seat is nearly impossible. When I am backing my boat my tolerance toward unrequested direction is really low. If I was 3 inches jack knifing, then by all means yell stop. Otherwise kindly STFU. I will say that except for the day I bought my boat nobody has given me unwanted direction or any direction for that matter. So that is not at all a problem. I suspect that its because I have gotten better. Anyway just curious how others would feel about this. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Bull fighting

I'm also aware of the stupid 'rumor' about the back cinch rope used. ---------------------------------------------------------- I am not sure I understand your point here. Since you have been around the sport. I assume you know its called a flank and that it does not in any way touch the bull's genitalia. So I am confused with what you mean by this. ============================= I made reference to the bull rides held in some of the little Border towns and in the 'interior' of Mexico where sharpened spurs are used. I've seen the videos... they've been shown on network T.V. ----------------------------------------------- I have never heard of this practice but being that they have no issue with bull fights there, I don't doubt it to be possible. ========================== If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Bull fighting

Just to clarify a bit: First I was born in and completely descend from Spain, which is where bull fighting originated and unfortunately still exists. I am not by any means a fan of bull fighting and agree with you that it is a barbaric sensless activity. However, to clarify Mexico. They do not ride bulls there, that is an American tradition. They fight them there, as they were taught to do so by the Spanish. Unfortunately they did not learn how to run an otherwise orderly, first world country. But instead took some of the shameful traditions of Spain and ran with them. Finally to address bull riding, the American tradition. I know a little something about this, as I have done it, see picture of me attached. First of all the spurs are NOT sharp. If you want, I can show you all my bull riding equipment. Next to get all tearful from a person riding a bull just shows a complete lack of understanding of the sport. A bull that is ridden can typically weigh from 1300 pounds (a very light one) to 2700 pounds. If you want to imagine how much a person riding a bull can hurt it. Picture a two year old child with dull spurs on his little boots and think how much he could hurt you. Also the stupid rumours about stuff being done to the bull's testicles to get him to buck are just that, stupid rumours, made by people who have no clue about the sport. It kind of reminds me of when we as skydivers role our eyes to a whuffo who says something stupid like somebody's shoot didn't open when they actually had a landing accident. 21. Guy's Rules : 1) Never stop your car to ask for directions. ------------------------------------------------ Fuck that! If I am not sure, I will not hesitate to ask for directions. The faster I get to my destination the better. ============================= 2) There is no such thing as "bad sex". ---------------------------------------------- B.S. If a girl starts wining about about the angles or what have you there is plenty of room there to ruin the experience. I'd like to think that I am not 13 and desparate for any possible action. ========================= 3) If it goes fast or uses gas ... you're the expert. -------------------------------------------------------- Well if the comparison is between me and 99% of females, then yes, I am an expert by comparison. But if its between me and a guy who has more experience dealing with the engine in question. I will imediately shut up and listen to advice on the matter. After all the priority is in keeping the engine running at its best. ========================== 4) You can never own "too many" tools. --------------------------------------------- This one I can agree with, so far 1 out of 3. ================================= 5) Always split Eights & Aces, never split Tens. ------------------------------------------------- I don't play cards and can't stand activities that involve sitting around like a lazy fat ass. Billiards is where I draw the line for non-active activities. 1/4 ================================ 6) A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. ------------------------------------------------------ If you are talking about something exciting like deep sea shark or Tuna fishing, then ok. But since fishing for most people involves sitting on a boat drinking beer from a location where you can see the shore, fuck that. I have better things to do with my time. Change that to waterskiing and we might be on to something. ...Those are on the back of the card, but it's a small card. I'm SURE there are more! If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. 22. The US State Department has granted ALL the Meskhetian Turks living in Krasnodar refugee status and offers to help them resettle in the United States. They were granted this status in 2004. Many have already arrived in America. 30,000 is the number expected this year. Maybe more, maybe less... Doesn't matter. They all have this status & there are several million of them in total. In effect, a "blanket-grant" similar to the one Carter gave to Cuban refugees in the 1970's. Mike. Are you referring to the Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act of 1966? If so, then lets not forget the Carter administration was from 1976-1980. The administration that signed that into law, (after it was passed by Congress), was the Johnson administration, ten years before. BTW. it still stands. , If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.
