If you are going to make your assessment going 7 generations back that would be the next level, meaning 128 people contributing to the percentage. Are you suggesting that you know or have records of all 128 or them? I guess if you could claim that you know atleast 16 of your 7th generation ancestors are Cherokee, then an accurate statement would be that you were atleast 1/8 Cherokee. One reason I can think of is that they are our only true freinds in the Middle East. Take Iran for instance with their continued effort to become a nuclear power. Its a problem that we are currently struggling with. However, anyday now Israel may loose its patience and carpet bomb their nuclear power plants because they fear Iran's nuclear build up even more than we do. I have my PADI advanced open water since 96 and been scuba diving since 93. When you have freinds with boats that work at dive shops you don't really need the certification. The reason I finally got the certifications was because it was so cheap through my college at the time. Funny thing is all my diving gear is Metric because I bought in in Milan and a freind of mine from Milan has all his diving equipment standard because he bought it in Jersey. Nah considering I still can not hold my own in the water the training wheels stay on. I just learned to swim, just had my first experience in a lake yesterday. Id rather not die this week. Its a completley new world for me, and Im proud I even learned to swim so Im going slow in the progression. Oh and speaking of training wheels, its being threatened that I will ride a bike soon... and I already checked they dont have training wheels for adult bikes I can see where you're coming from not being comfortable with you swimming and all. But one other thing to keep in mind is nobody skiis without a life jacket. Its just a pain not having something that will help you float when setting up to get out of the water. The real fun is when you learn how to slalom. I can't stand 2 skiis. I think I have convinced my girlfreind to try and get up on my shoulders for a picture. (I will do 2 skiis for that.) I even went so far as to break down and by a wakeboard. Tomorrow I will be getting my mastercraft stars and stripes. But if there is one thing I refuse to waste any time on its a tube or a knee board. I think knee boards were invented for people who were to afraid to ski and tubes for people who were to afraid to knee board. Then again if you're having fun with it all the power to you.
